I bought a Taurus IC70 exercise bike which arrived faulty. Getting Fitshop to actually deal with it took three separate chase-ups before they agreed to a collection and refund, only after I formally exercised my short-term right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

That should have been the end of it, but it's been the start of a much longer ordeal. Since the bike was collected, I've had to chase multiple times just to get any update. It is now 5 weeks since delivery and nearly 3 weeks of chasing since collection, and I still have not received my refund.

A faulty product can happen to anyone, but a company should be able to process a straightforward refund without this level of chasing and silence. Based on this experience, I'd think twice before ordering from Fitshop, particularly if you might need to return something.

I was interested in seeing the Nordictrack x24 . Phil talked me through the bike and its functions making it really easy to understand. He answered all my questions and gave great customer service throughout. This is the 2nd piece of gym equipment I’ve bought from them. Very happy 😁

Garth was extremely helpful in recommending a make of recumbent bike which I had actually never heard of but has proved to be first class. It is called a Taurus and is German made. It was replacing a Schwinn bike which was made in China which has been a complete disappointment. I will never buy Schwinn again. It is so very comfortable to use with an internal battery which charges every time it’s used (a good reason to cycle every day!)
I bought an extended warranty because I expect to use my bike daily and with the cost of assembly by an in-house workforce, the whole cost was exactly the same as a Life fitness bike which I had originally hoped to buy from John Lewis. I had investigated other companies but either the equipment was not available online after three weeks or there were third party delivery companies who required a video of the access details before accepting an order. I felt confident that I was being very well looked after by Fitshop as I am still working in the fitness industry after 30 years plus.
Both Mark and Adrian (the delivery guys) were amazingly conscientious and helpful in entering the property, assembling the bike, taking it to the building where it was going to be used, dealing with the packaging and clearing and finally exiting the property.
All in all I am very impressed with the whole process with Fitshop. If and when I need more machinery there is only one place I will go to - and I suggest this is your first stop.
