Bought a bundle for my house in January this year. 2 nights ago the one in my hall started beeping. At first I thought it was my old hard wired alarm which sits alongside but eventually after standing and watching realised it was the new one with the 10 year battery ha! ha! After 2 sleepless nights and my nerves frayed I prised it from the ceiling and cut the wires. I am raging at this company who have no contact phone number. However,they responded within a few hours to my email, so I am hopeful of a replacement. I am a pensioner, living alone so this has been a really bad experience for me.

I First ordered two sets of linked detectors on 22 January 22 one for myself and one for my daughter and since ordered another 4 sets for relatives. all have arrived as stated and service was good. Today after just ten months one of my daughter's alarms failed it just had intermittent bleep but no alarm signal when tested battery gone. These alarms have a ten-year battery life? the alarms have never had cause to be used. I am now worried about all the rest i have fitted for relatives if they fail early, it completely defeats the point of having them

I believe you only find out how good a company is when something goes wrong.
Unfortunately to my cost two of my smoke detectors have failed inside 10 months. [Constant beeping]
So much for a so called 10 year guarantee. This company won't reply to emails. Three sent now without any signs of replacement units.
They will supply your order in a timely manner however my experience is the units won't last 1 year.
The battery is built in so you cannot replace it yourself.
I could not recommend this company to anyone due to my experience.

Remote controller and one smoke alarm not working. Interlinking not working. Promised immediate replacements. Didn't arrive. Emailed - to be told they were in the post. Weeks later, they obviously never had been posted. No longer answering emails.
I see one review that suggests the system is not compliant with Scottish legislation!!

Two of my smoke alarms purchased in Jan 2022 failed recently - the random beeping similar to battery fail described in other reviews. Sent e-mail with order no and photo of a faulty unit ( to show batch no) on 27th Sept. Mentioned adverse reviews about faulty units and poor customer service. "Peter" responded promptly and promised rapid despatch of replacement units. These arrived today (3rd October). Installed and functioning OK. My only concern is the reliability of the remaining units from original purchase.

Do not use this company- alarms provided for use in bedrooms give out a blinding flashing light every 60 seconds making sleep impossible- also alarm installed by the kitchen failed to go off when a pan was left on the hob and burned. Company is refusing to answer emails. A complete scam

One of the smoke alarms installed in February 2022 started beeping every minute on 10 Sept.

I contacted Fireguard+ by email on 10 Sept and received a quick response from Peter. He apologised for the inconvenience and said he would send a replacement unit.

I received the replacement unit from Royal Mail on 22 Sept.

Great customer service, very professional and very fast responding and sending the replacement.

Avoid at all costs, complete scam. We bought 5 of their smoke alarms which are supposed to last 10 years, less than 9 months later 3 of them have started beeping due to low battery. Batteries cannot be replaced, and company have stopped replying to emails.

Tried emailing the company with email supplied dose not work, email returned as undelivered.
Then filled in the online company contact form to try and get a replacement smoke alarm as one of mine fell of the ceiling and broke, so much for the sticky pads supplied, obviously no good in warm weather.
I will see how long it takes the company to reply.
Another SNP led initiative that is not worth the paper it is written on.

Received alarms October 2021, after a 6 week wait, early this year fireguard plus sent out very small stickers/labels to attach to the alarms, confirming that the battery is non replaceable, i misplaced mine and asked for some more, over a period of 3 months and 6 emails i have had no stickers or contact from fireguard plus, all emails IGNORED when i need new alarms i will buy from elswhere, so it is BY BY FIREGUARD PLUS, you have lost a returning customer.

bought a bundle in October last year and installed it without too much fuss (though we had to screw them up as the sticky pads were not holding them up) . One of the alarms started to beep every minute or so this morning the way they do when the battery needs replacing (which you can't with those). We tried testing the alarms in case the beeping was a reminder for testing but it has not changed anything. Alarm has now been placed at the back of a cupboard, the beeping is driving us nuts . Emailed the company but not holding my breath.

These people are extremely rude and are poor communicators. All my emails were unanswered and my question submitted online was also ignored. They don't give a telephone number either so I was unable to contact them after receiving the fire alarms.
I was also disappointed that the alarms were manufactured in China.
They did successfully install however, which is why I increased my rating from one star to 2 stars.

smoke detectors x 3 and heatdetector x1 bought package deal. lightweight compact & not bulky great size. all linked and we desided to stick them up as ceiling where smooth . all working and the remote is great for using when you need to do a test.. would recommend this company to use. all good. Delivered 2days after I ordered the alarms good service and alarms were easy to set up. good support when I asked questions about a extra alarm would definitely recommend this company

Delivered two days after ordering. Checked the website same day for a friend, only to discover a substantial price reduction had been applied that day. I emailed and asked if I could qualify even though I was a day ahead, and the refund was applied to my account within 24 hours. Very easy to set up and fit, excellent customer service. Recommend strongly rather than being ripped off by charges for fitting the ones that work of the electric supply.

I ordered the 'Standard Bundle' from Fireguardplus via their website and all arrived safe and sound. There was a bit of a delay in the delivery but that was to be expected.
When prepping the detectors for pairing, one of the smoke detectors would not initiate, so I contacted Fireguardplus by email and they immediately arranged a replacement which arrived a few days later.
Just as shown in the instruction video, all detectors were paired, installed and tested very easily and quickly, and I was now fully compliant with the latest Legislation.
I then decided to add further smoke detectors to the rest of my downstairs rooms. I contacted Fireguardplus and ordered an additional 3 smoke detectors, which arrived in approx. 1 week.
I contacted Fireguardplus for some technical advice on how best to integrate the 3 new smoke detectors into the system I already had operating in my house. Peter at Fireguard responded by return email with expert advice that was very easy to follow. I then paired, installed the new additional smoke detectors, and then tested the whole system - everything worked perfectly!
The smoke detectors themselves are very slim and unobtrusive and easy on the eye, they are simple to install and the technical support from the Fireguardplus team is first class.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending.

Brilliant service. A relative purchased one of the bundles for me, arrived within the stated time and was easy to link and install, I used both the adhesive and the drilled install options as different ceiling types. The relatively slim profile and design of the alarms doesn't really distract from each rooms aesthetic. A fault developed just after install, however I'm still happy to give 5 stars due to the way this was handled, they responded quickly to my email with an apology, asked a few questions and asked me to submit a couple of photographs, confirmed it was covered under warranty and sent out a replacement straight away. Friends and family who also use these have had no issues.
