Well, after numerous emails and my previous two posts on this site I finally received a response from Daniel.
He said that the returned fascinator smelled of perfume and therefore I am not entitled to a refund. He also pointed out that his company is not a hat hire business.
I responded to reiterate what I had already explained that the fascinator had not even been tried on due to the shade not being right for my outfit and kept in the box until returning. I asked if he would return it to me, he said he would if I paid the postage and removed my defamatory reviews from this site, I agreed to this and offered to pay £2.99, their standard delivery charge. He responded saying no, the cost would be £6.00, I asked why and he said they have to send it by 'signed for delivery' as it is their company policy, not sure why it is not their company policy to send all their deliveries by this method.
Sounds like a scam to me!
The fascinator was of good quality and was despatched to me promptly. If you order from this company and are certain that you will not need to make a return you should be ok but please be aware of the problem I have and it appears other customers have experienced the same issues as me.

Wow, after reading some recent reviews on here I was a little concerned about ordering. However, it seemed obvious who was in the wrong.
With the help from a very experienced, knowledgeable and helpful staff member, I ordered 3 items in slightly different shades. After trying all three on and selecting the perfect match, I returned the others with absolutely no issues at all.
I love the fascinator I selected and it was admired and complimented by many people at my event.
I will certainly re-order from this company as I found their customer service, products and expertise to be amazing.

Bought a fascinator from this company and they said I would receive an email confirmation. Despite this the fascinator arrived and wad very nice but unfortunately the wrong colour. I followed the returns policy and sent it back tracked by Royal Mail .The tracking shows it was delivered to their safe place but 2 weeks later I haven't received a refund. I have emailed the company but no reply.
I have read their response the fascinator was returned on the 14th of July and they stated on their website it could take up to 14 days .I waited about 17 days before my review. I still have no refund

I sent the fascintaor I brought back well within the return policy time and sent it via signed postage. I sent several emails asking about my refund as there is no telephone contact for them and it wasn’t until several weeks later that I got a response from someone called Daniel stating exactly as he did on another customers feedback that the item smelt of perfume and therefore wasn’t in its original condition. I had proof that this wasn’t the hat I decided to wear for my daughters wedding and it was sent back a week after purchasing with all labels still attached DO NOT BUY FROM
THIS COMPANY THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

As I explained in my emails to them, I did try the fascinator on, as any customer reasonably would, but I categorically denied spraying perfume on it. The item was returned with the original tags still attached, in its original packaging and box, and sent back by signed-for delivery. This fully complied with their published returns policy.

I also find it concerning that it took them taken over a month to inform me of this alleged issue. Had there genuinely been a problem with the condition of the item, I would have expected to be notified promptly rather than after such a significant delay.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers are entitled to inspect goods in a similar way to how they would in a shop before deciding whether to keep them. I do not believe I have handled the item beyond what is reasonably necessary, and I dispute your assertion that it smelled of perfume.

Daniel please can you remove your statement about me when you replied to “Pinkney” saying the fascinator was returned “in a used condition- and we’re not a free hire service”?
The fascinator WAS NOT used and of course you are not a free hire service.
I notice that your replies to one star reviews really do not demonstrate a company who respects their customers.

Surely we have a right to try on an item and if necessary return it if it is not suitable without being accused of returning it in a used condition?

After all you are an online company…

I 100% stand by what I have written as it is the truth.
The fascinator was returned to you within 11 days of receiving it, it DID NOT smell of perfume and I DID NOT wear it. As you know the labels were all attached and I suspect they can only be removed by cutting them off …
You may well have plenty of 4 or 5 star reviews and my 1 star review was not because there was an issue with the quality of the fascinator but because you have not refunded me and have accused me of wearing it and returning it used and outside of your return period - all of which is untrue.
Why should I have to accept these lies?
I am NOT paying £10 to have it returned to me.

I am now reporting your company to Trading Standards as I feel your refusal to refund me or return the item to me is against what I am entitled to expect from an online business under the Consumer Contracts Regulations Act 2013.

Having read the review posted by Melissa McInnes , there is no way I would ever use this company as she clearly states she returned it within the time line and that she never wore it ! Shame as I wanted to purchase three fascinators for weddings next year ! Thank you Melissa for the head’s up - there would be no point !

Tha hat is very nice, but it doesn't fit and is too small.
The return process is not that straight forward.

We love our hats. My son loves his bucket hats especially the unusual designs and I also treated myself to one and it’s the first one I’ve brought that fits perfect. Super service delivery too. X
