Ordered a todler chair back in 2021. After reciving an e-mail delaying the delivery due to covid, none of my e-mails gor any response.
It is an obvious scam site. Don't order anything.

I recently placed an order for leatherette fabric but unfortunately when the fabric arrived it had a small tear in it and was not the same quality as the sample I had previously received. I can work around the tear but what is the point of sending out samples if you are not going to get exactly the same product? I thought at first it was my mistake but checking back on both invoice details they match. Just wish I had read the reviews before using this company. Will not bother again.

Can’t believe, in this day and age, anyone running a business can be this appalling. Or if it wasn’t the owner I dealt with, I can’t believe they’re condoning their staffs appalling attitude.

Bought a fabric described as waterproof micro fleece suitable for outdoor clothing. Received a fabric which is in no way micro fleece. It’s a thin, slightly fluffed surface on one side and very stiff, rough bonded plastic on the other and believe me, you wouldn’t want clothing made out of this. Maybe a barbecue cover?

Phoned to request a swap for a different, water-resistant alternative. After a lot of unnecessary waffle at the company’s end, I was told they would ‘charge’ me £30 to take back the fabric! What cost me £50 would net me a £20 refund after I’d returned it to them, at my cost. I told them it was a shocking offer, I wasn’t interested and I put the phone down.

My phone rang. It was them. Indignant as to why I’d put the phone down. Erm, because the conversation was at an end and that’s what you do (I didn’t think it was confusing but, hey, maybe phone etiquette has changed since I was a youngster). He then proceeded to tell me, again, 3 more times why he wanted to take my money off me. I’m going to use the term mansplaining. I tried, really hard to break into his diatribe. In the end I asked him to allow me to speak, as I’d allowed him to speak. He didn’t (or couldn’t). He just kept butting in and he started to get quite antsy because I didn’t accept his obviously superior point of view.

Eventually I simply talked over him and said I had no intention of effectively paying them to take the fabric back, the conversation was at and end, and I hold by my opinion they are shocking.

I’d say get samples before you purchase as their descriptions are way off. However other reviewers tried that and still received goods different to the samples so just be very very cautious buying from them

Ordered an item back in April 2021. Patiently waited until Jun when I started to chase them. My calls were ignored. My first few emails were returned saying due to COVID everything is delayed. After a few more months waiting I have started to write emails again and I NEVER got answers or refund back. What to do next????

I paid in February for some travel bags and even after 6 months I did not receive the order. In the first months of the year I received a response to the emails sent, as they have inventory.. For two months I keep sending them without getting a response. Does anyone know which authority I can turn to to make a complaint?

I had a large curtain project of 50+metres so I bought a bunch of small swatches and then picked a velvet and a linen voile to test out. I ordered 3m of each. The fabric didn't arrive so I called after about 10 days and chased. The velvet was out of stock but this hadn't been communicated. I agreed to wait. The parcel came about a week later.

The velvet looked ok but the linen voile was completely different to the swatch - a kind of thick stretch denim. I called again and was told to post back cuttings of both the original swatch and the 3m length to work out which was wrong.

I did, then got a message to say the wrong fabric had indeed been sent. The linen was now out of stock too. I did wonder at this point if the denim had been sent deliberately as a substitution just to get the order out..

My first swatch order also had a mistake on it (yellow fabric not beige) I asked for the correct one using the online form but never got a response. I later chased on the phone too. It never came.

None of this gave me confidence to place a larger £500+ order.

I asked them to refund the mistake so I could source the fabric elsewhere.

They agreed on email but after two weeks I'm still waiting for my money back.

After chasing again I've been told I will now only get the refund if I post the 3m lengths of fabric back!

They have not supplied a returns label. I'm not inclined to pay for the return when I already paid to send cuttings back and they already agreed they made a mistake.

I'm happy to forgive small businesses when mistakes are made - that's life - but I don't expect an argument getting a refund.

No replies to emails - paid for sample - no sample arrived. Managed to phone said it was n the way - not arrived

I don't often write reviews but I have been so impressed I felt compelled to say a big thank you to Fabric UK for not only their speed of service but particularly their helpfulness. I ordered 10 metres of Solpruf curtain lining but they were the only company that was willing to cut it into four equal lengths, which made it much easier for me to handle. I then found I had under estimated and put in another order on a Sunday and received it Tuesday morning. I do wonder if the poor reviews got the right company name as there are so many that are similar. Either way they get a 10/10 from me and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Will never order again. Placed an order 18 days ago which is still not showing as despatched. Tried sending 2 emails, 3 Facebook messenger messages with no response to any of them. Tried calling repeatedly but the line just rings out. Now I'm stuck with no goods, and out of pocket and can't get any response.

My father ordered a chair back in November, no update at all.
We’re in January and still no chair.
2 emails of complaints.
They say they can’t confirm shipment because of inventory.
As soon as he asked for refund they say it’s been shipped.
No tracking numbers.
No updates.
He lost his money and they keep lying.
He’ll keep chasing until he gets his money back.
Stay away!!

Put in an order one day and received said order the next morning, and thats with only a nominal postage.
What excellent service from this company I will definitely recommend them to everyone. Thank you Fabric UK

This was my first experience of using FabricUk and it was excellent. I rang to ask a few questions about possible fabrics for my project and then later to check availability of my chosen fabrics. The replies, both times, were polite and helpful and the phone was answered promptly.

I placed my orders online (for samples, then for final fabrics). The samples came the next day and were generously sized and comprehensively labelled. The final fabrics for my project also came the day after ordering them, and were well packaged.
I am amazed at such good service - so many other companies could learn by this companies example. Would definitely use them again.
PS Also had free postage! 😉
