No delivery, no accountability and no refund
I paid Eurosender €45.08 to collect a parcel in Lisbon and deliver it to my home in Lithuania. When I booked, I gave them every detail they asked for - my name, full address, email, and phone number - and confirmed all of it again afterwards.
The parcel was collected and travelled the whole way to Lithuania. Then, instead of being delivered to me, it was sent back to the sender in Lisbon. It was never delivered, and no delivery to my address was ever even attempted - the courier, DPD, confirmed to me in writing that no delivery attempt was made and that the parcel was held because delivery information was missing. It was missing because Eurosender failed to pass on the details I had already given them.
So the mistake was entirely on Eurosender's end. And here is the part that matters most: despite that, they refuse to refund.
What made it worse was the communication. I was in contact with them constantly, for weeks, and every reply was impeccably polite - endless "I completely understand your frustration" and "I sincerely apologise." But behind all the courtesy, there was never any real help. No accountability, no ownership of their error, no meaningful action, and ultimately no refund. Politeness is not a substitute for doing your job or standing behind your service.
Their justification for keeping my money is that, under their terms, the service is "considered provided" the moment the parcel is collected. In other words, they can pick up your parcel, fail to deliver it, send it back, and still keep your payment. That is not a service - I paid for a delivery to Vilnius that never happened.
I am now out of pocket, my parcel is stranded in a city where the sender no longer lives, and I have to arrange and pay for the entire shipment again. Weeks of polite correspondence mean nothing when a company will not take responsibility for its own mistake.
Truly one of the worst experiences dealing with Eurosender. I would strongly warn anyone against trusting them with anything that genuinely matters.
