Well, I’m lost of words really because I have met a company who really are very very unprofessional. I wanted to rent my house out and I had four different estate agents one broken appointment after making it so I thought Wright goodbye to you and then Connells came round a very nice woman came from the hitching branch. She said she’d been doing it 20 years and I felt very comfortable with her. She went back and said oh I will email you in the next day or two and I said what is no major hurry but anyway never received any email from her never received anything so I emailed the branch the manager who dealt with me Jada and basically no reply to my emails and eventually I said wish Shiela luck complaints head office still no reply so eventually I did bring head office and they were all apologetic. They found my email very quickly and said oh well I will chase up the hitching branch and find out what went wrong and you’ll get a call by the end of the day well guess what? That never happened so I’m now totally disillusioned with them and then I’ve had the fortunate opportunity to actually look them up and find out they’ve got one star reviews and the alpha a very poor service across the country so I shall not be dealing with this company anymore.

I let out a flat through Connells Tunbridge Wells branch. Recently there was a problem and Lyla and Kara got it sorted very promptly and efficiently. I have nothing but praise for them and the service that I receive.

Do not use Connells.
They will pester, play games and act in a way that you will not trust another agent.
They are dreadful.
I have since removing them from my sale been harassed by them.

I booked an appointment with Adam at Connells for Today, even had confirmation text yesterday. Because my son posted a bad review. Amy decided to cancel. No text to notify me. When I rang at 11.45, I had a very rude Amy telling me all about my sons purchase last year. She is very unprofessional in her dealings. Am amazed she is in the position she is with such poor management skills.

Having dealt with a number of estate agents over the years, some ok some not so good, it is refreshing to find one who go the extra mile. Connells Estate Agents (Stourbridge office), are professional, courteous with great staff offering top service. Communication is excellent informing you every step of the way. Excellent service and value for money. Top marks to John and Nicola and the rest of team 👌

This company doesn’t deserve any stars. I bought my flat through this company’s office in High Wycombe, Bucks. The purchase took 9 months, I had extra fees, so I asked for a reduction. I was told that the property will be put back in the market!
On completion day, I went to pick up the keys only to be told that they didn’t have them. One of their staff has taken the keys home with her and she wasn’t in the office that day. The person knew that I was completing on that day!!!
I demanded to have the keys as it was now my flat. The reply I had was that she would meet me at my flat the next day!!! I had the removal van waiting to move my things into my new flat and I had no where to go. How unprofessional of their staff to casually tell me that she will meet me the next day. I demanded that their staff bring the keys in as soon as possible. My removals and I had to wait an hour and a half for her to arrive. I rang my solicitors who told me that Connells were in breach and if Connells’ staff didn’t turn up with the keys I should contact the police and my solicitor would prepare a report.
Connells have been unprofessional from the start. I’ve been told off when they provided me with incorrect information stating that their staff who voluntarily gave me information wasn’t working on the property I was buying so it wasn’t their fault!!!
I was only given 1 key for the front door and was told that I should just get all the locks changed. There were 5 doors and several windows and no keys for them. Keep away from this company. My first purchase and biggest nightmare!!!

I called Connells Kidderminster branch to ask about their terms and book a valuation of my house, and find out their charges. They told me that if you have a lower value house they charge a higher percentage, and lower to a more expensive house. I initially booked a valuation, but then cancelled because I felt their charging process was unethical. I cancelled the valuation. So they never even valued my house. They have since called me almost every week and today have called me twice in the space an hour and a half. Trying to get me to re book. I have told them multiple times I will not be rebooking and to not contact me again and remove me from their records, but they haven’t listened so I have now had to block their phone number and send their emails to spam because they will not leave me alone. Wish I had never contacted them because they are an absolute nightmare. Once they have your details they won’t leave you alone.

Jason and the team at Werrington tracked our property sale every step of the way, keeping us informed at every turn. Even though market conditions gave them and us a bit of a bumpy ride, we were reassured by their professional expertise and diligence. Thanks to their hard work and commitment they got our sale over the line and we are very grateful.

If I could give less than one star, I would. We were in a chain with Connells Estate Agents, Worcester at the bottom. They were constantly unhelpful, unresponsive and unobtainable whenever our estate agents tried to get updates. This included downright lying on several occasions about the readiness of their buyer and washing their hands of being involved in trying to coordinate dates for completion. I would actively avoid any chain where they are involved and would not touch them with a bargepole for buying or selling a property.

Just like to say a big thank you to connells and especially to James Wenlock in particular for giving me such great advice especially with 2 other estate agents valuing the property way lower than James's valuation and selling the property very quickly very professional throughout and thoroughly recommend this company

No wonder they have such a low rating, they are so unhelpful and make everything difficult. They don’t do viewings for people who have work in the day all week I think they prefer to leave work early.
Don’t help you with anything or help with any information.

Used Connells Cowboys after being misled by the branch manager at Bristol Longwell Green to use their modern auction method of selling .
Absolutely appalling substandard level of operating. Calling it a ‘service’ is an insult to the word.
We were given the hype sell on day one and from day 2 onwards, for the next 3 months they were totally and utterly useless.
No communication
No Updates
No viewings
No answers to phone calls
No one in the office
No apologies for incompetence
This outfit clearly doesn’t understand the term ‘customer service’ and definitely doesn’t take note of the diabolical one star reviews being given to them.
Maybe a name change is required for this outfit. My suggestion would be
“CON”alls. My advice to anyone considering using them would be-DON’T
THE REVIEWS SAY IT ALL. Just wish we’d read the reviews before being screwed over.

If you want to experience estate-agenting at its slack worst, get in touch with Connells Sherborne, down in Dorset. For a fat fee you can have your emails ignored and receive information two weeks after it's useful. You can see an office in turmoil as a manager fails to delegate or communicate, and an area manager who can only wring his hands. Terrible.

One of the worst estate agents in Milton Keynes. Very poor management, and I’m still struggling to get my own money back—my deposit. I wouldn’t trust them.

Connells in Yate Bristol. Absolutely disgusting attitude, had to collect our keys by currier as they wouldn't deliver them to us until evening. The house we bought was left with rubbish everywhere and absolutely filthy. Dog shit in bags in the garden. Nevermind that I had to call them weekly over 6 months because they weren't doing their job. If I could give them zero stars I would. Don't use this company ever, even if you love the house just stay away.

I had a very disappointing experience dealing with Connells. Communication was poor throughout the entire process. Every time I called, I was assured that I would receive an update, but no one ever got back to me as promised. I constantly had to chase for information instead of being kept informed.

What was even more frustrating was the lack of responsibility when it came to processing a payment that was due to me. Despite repeated follow-ups, there was little sense of urgency or accountability, and the matter took far longer than it should have.

Good communication and reliability are essential when dealing with customers, and unfortunately, my experience with Connells fell well below expectations. I hope they improve their customer service, communication, and responsiveness so that other customers don't have to go through the same experience.

**Please note:** This review relates to my experience from the end of December. Due to personal circumstances, I was unable to post it at the time, so I am sharing my experience now.

Totally unprofessional and a complete waste of time. They seem to care only about maximizing their profit rather than treating buyers fairly. I made an offer on a property and was told that my offer had been accepted. Later, they came back and said another offer had been received and asked me to increase mine. I increased my offer as requested, and then they asked me to increase it again, which I did. They also wasted more than two months of my time on this property. Throughout the process, I was repeatedly encouraged to increase my offer and led to believe that I was in a strong position, only to be ignored later without any clear explanation. My offer is still higher than the other party’s, yet I am unable to move forward with the purchase.

It also feels like they only want buyers who arrange their mortgage through their preferred mortgage broker or in-house services. If you choose to arrange your mortgage independently or through another lender, they seem far less willing to proceed with your offer, regardless of how competitive it is. In my experience, it appeared that using their recommended mortgage services was being prioritized over treating all buyers fairly.

Overall, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and apparent focus on generating additional business rather than providing a fair service made this a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I would not recommend them based on my experience.

Having to lodge a formal complaint, and consider the property ombudsman. Long story short, in my view they got us on the hook with a valuation that was far above what it could actually sell for. Three months later, not a single offer, despite dropping the price by £10k as they advised. Around half of our viewings have been no shows, suggesting that these were not vetted and not serious buyers. Lots of other issues, including a lack of proper updates, sending their most junior staff to do viewings. We are locked into a 6 month sole agency agreement which they won’t let us exit from despite complaining and setting this out to them. I would urge you to consider another agent. That being said, I think they are nice people, perfectly pleasant - just not happy with the service given it’s almost £4K for a house only worth £270k.
