Dire. Awful. Imbeciles. Rude. Lazy.
There is nothing nice or decent to say about this company, they are awful. We had work done inside and outside of our NHG housing association and every step has been dire. I’d give them zero stars, it’s what they deserve. They painted the outside of the properties leaving the top half of the buildings unpainted and patches where the scaff poles were. They’ve not painted them. It took them months to put up the scaffolding, all while swearing day in day out. We were all told it would take 3 months to complete the entire project but took them 6 months to put the scaffolding up alone, leading them to be working here for a year! Cowboys is too good a title for this lot. They painted inside, not a dust sheet in sight yet they carried on painting as residents were walking in and out getting paint on their clothes. A builder resident had a go at them telling them they were idiots and needed dust sheets as he had brought paint into his home because of them. They didn’t care and carried on. They’ve laid flooring down that’s already coming up, they laid it on crumbling stairs. Half their junk is still in the gardens, wood, metal, nails. Families live here. They broke a skylight and never replaced it, painted over fire safety signs, didn’t sand anything down but painted over cobwebs and spiders! How lazy. Honestly some of the worst imbeciles. It’s like they got a bunch of jobless off the dole and said go paint however you like, if you’re blind, even better! That’s what this lot must be, blind doleys because they certainly aren’t professionals that have zero pride in their work or reputation. Avoid them if you can.

Out of the reviews I am seeing I want to give 5 stars for one person who has come out from this company to the Northamptonshire Area for EMH , we have just finished are 1 year defect period and out of all the members of staff from Equans, "FABIO" has been brilliant why we could have him sorting out the defects from the start I will never know his skills are brilliant, he is polite and shows me what repairs he has done aswel, all the repairs have held nicely I am lost for words and its a shame really we will never see him again because all our defects are sorted, But i hope this Review gets back to him from his Managers, Fabio if you see this any time you want another coffee your more than welcome to thank you so much for the hard and valued work you have done on our house.

Extremely poor communication from Equans. I had an interview scheduled and prepared for, only to be sent a generic email a day before, stating that the role had already been filled. I emailed asking what was going on and received an email saying:
"There has been an offer on that job, but I will speak to the Hiring Manager and get back to you ASAP."
Yes, "Hirning" – they didn't even care to double-check the spelling.
I then sent an email withdrawing my interest from the role, regardless of the outcome. I found this whole process disrespectful and a waste of my time. A very unprofessional and disappointing candidate experience. I hope they use this feedback to improve.

was once people centric, now couldn't be further from the that, HR and management like to be seen to the outside world to be doing the "right thing" but zero substance behind closed doors. Mentioned about mental health and going through dark periods, no on reached out despite my pleas, and didnt even get in touch when I missed scheduled meetings

Sparky doesn't know how to use a tape measure as he asked me to remove a fitted wardrobe so he could gain access to fuse box I knew this wasnt required as I had measured it previously

Contractors either turned up late and left early or didnt come at all
9to 10 days as was told to complete job took almost a month
Company as no code of conduct at all
I worked on site for 15 plus years and not once did I treat customers as these do

Hi have a been employed by them for over a year and from day one there was no supervisor which was stated in my email on my first day and then the employer had to show myself around and start with no training in cleaning products and there was wrong buckets and cleaning codes which has just now been put in place with a new supervisor there is still no supervisor on site while there employees are working I only have seen one supervisor which was this week since I have been working for them and also was not given a uniform either so I had to wear my own clothes which was incorrt also.

The company is a real nightmare
The company is a real nightmare. They build the new flats in Bristol, but absolutely everything is with problems, gas heating and water system pipes are wrong,so no heating and hot water. The flooring is not leveled right , some kind of holes under the bad flooring. Everything is very bad quality, missing or already broken. Stay away from this company. They care only to take your money and then they disappear.

The company is the contractor for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. In 2022, ENGIE changed its name to EQUANS. However, they largely work with the same team.
I previously wrote a review on 14 July 2023, but feel it is necessary to provide further information:
Just an update: The Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman (NIPSO) is now investigating the NIHE, so it is more important than ever to raise any concerns.
If you are a Housing Executive tenant, you have the right to make a Subject Access Request (SAR) to obtain your repair history free of charge. This repair history includes all contractor invoices, which you can review for any potential fraudulent billing.
If the Housing Executive fails to investigate suspected fraud, you have several options for escalating the matter:
1. Contact the Northern Ireland Ombudsman
2. Report to the Police or Crimestoppers
3. Contact the Northern Ireland Audit Office (NIAO)
4. Report to Action Fraud
To request a copy of your personal data from EQUANS, submit a SAR to:

If we could leave no stars it would be…
If we could leave no stars it would be too high!! Windows and doors replaced at our 91 year old fathers bungalow. The outside of the bungalow was not masked off properly and the muck and dust inside the bungalow was disgraceful. This elderly gentleman has COPD,asthma and has previously had a stroke which affects his day to day life if he over exerts himself. It took me,my sister and our father nearly 4 hours to clean up a small 1 bedroom bungalow...but the clean up is still ongoing as the dust keeps settling again.Walls ,carpets,curtains and INSIDES of cupboards have all had to be cleaned!! At 91 he couldn't do all of this himself,so God help any elderly person on their own with no family to help.We all had to wear masks as we were all coughing with the dust whilst trying to get the place clean again.It was heartbreaking to see dad so stressed with it as he keeps everything so clean and tidy.

Damaged a 15mm mains water pipe in a tower block and instead of repairing it, they wrapped it in electrical tape and left which lead to the pipe blowing and flooding 7 floors and 2 lift shafts causing thousands of pounds in damage. Avoid these cowboys.

EQUANS FRAUD:
once the council contracts are signed this clown show of charlatans get busy by sending shoddy un qualified chancers , the management is no better with Olympic gold medals in excuses ,ignorance and laziness.
After over 40 years in the construction industry I would not even allow this pitiful band of bodgers access to clean a toilet.
£1000,s of pounds worth of brand new electrical appliances all got the EQAUNS treatment , covered in brick dust, rubble , finger prints and dents .solicitors problem now.
Fag buts all over the drive , garden used as a tip.
Send equans “workforce” back to where they came from , some poorly built sewer? Meanwhile the “management” pocket council brown envelopes? I would advise having your solicitors kept up to date with a photo documented journal before allowing these chancers access to your home.

EVERY YEAR the same problem with my gas…
EVERY YEAR the same problem with my gas safety check. I got home from work to a letter AND a card, one saying this was a second attempt to do my gas safety check and the other saying if i was out next time they called they would force entry. this is THE FIRST contact I have had with them!! I had no letter or text informing me there were ANY appointments previous to these two notices on Christmas Eve. When I phoned I am told oh WE cancelled the appointment on 16.12 and booked you for the 23rd - I said well it would have been nice if someone had told ME that!! I said the letters were very threatening and considering they were my FIRST contact from Equans, it was wholly unacceptable. She said they are generated automatically. Well then it's about time someone looked at their PC programs and altered that, because threatening people with a £40 fine and having their door kicked down, when they had no knowledge any appointment existed, so couldnt possibly be at home (especially when like me you work full time in a very busy hospital!!)is outrageous. Council keep saying they have a tenants charter now, well I would like to actually see it in action for once.I fully understand the need for the gas safety check, but there is also a need to work with tenants and make sure they can actually attend the appointments first, and actually INFORM them that there is an appointment.
