voleur! violeur de compte en banque!

Nous avons eu la suprise d'un appel de leur part nous rapportant une importante régulation.

nous avons effectivement chauffé un mois de plus que d'habitude. ET A UNE REGULATION CONVENABLE!

mais que néni! sombre sot que nous somme....

1200 euros de REGULATION! motif: une tres légére consomation mais surtout un pris de 0.10 C qui passe a 0.19 C , sans etre pévenus de quoi que ce sois, ils mettent les prix qu'ils veulent et vous sorte un facture a réglé le mois suivant et des nouveaux echéancier toujours plus haut!

et bien joyeux noel ENGIE !on coupe le gaz et on se gélera le uc en bouffant des pattes....et encore...au prix des pattes.....

Do Not Use This Service!! They misrepresented their obscene contract to me on a busy business day and I was in the impression it was for 1 yr to try. Oh No they managed to put my signature with a 5 yr penalty early cancelation fee. My home is on the market Why would I sign a 5 yr anything. They won't let it go. Service client déplorable !!!!

ENGIE sont des voleurs et des incapables !!!! Le 2 octobre je reçois une facture de régulation de 2231€, je précise j’habite seul et dans un appartement de 65m2. Je les contacte on m’indique que c’est une facture estimer. B oui voyons 11000 kw pour une personne seul c’est bien estimer ! Je leur communique les indexe de compteur électrique. Après les avoir eu plusieurs fois au téléphone il constate une erreur et me dise que la facture est suspendu et que une nouvelle facture me sera réédité. Le 16 octobre notification de ma banque qui m’indique un prélèvement de 2231 € au quel j’ai dû faire opposition donc en plus d’être des voleurs ce sont des menteurs car la facture n’avais pas était suspendu comme on me l’avais indiquer par mail et par téléphone et aujourd’hui 18 octobre il vienne d’essayer de me prélever ma facture mensuel mais avec l’échéancier correspondant à la facture de 2231€ donc une facture mensuel de 345€. En 2 jours ces voleurs on essayer de me prélevé plus de 2500€. Aujourd’hui je vient de les avoir au téléphone ma Facture va mettre rééditer avec le bon montant et une fois régler je quitte ce fournisseur d’énergie qui est incompétent et déplorable!!!

Really bad company to deal with

We had a power outage of 5 days due to a severe storm..
When I received my bill they had acctually charged me for that whole week were were out..
The biggest day being the Monday when we had not a stick of power ??
When I rang to complain the customer service lady told me that my fridges and freezer can still use power up to 24 hours after an outage ??
Not sure where her power comes from..
But they refused to change my power bill so I went to the water power ombudsman ( they were fanntastic) I ended up with a $250 credit from Engie ( only after a lot of back and forth)
But today I received a bill and letter in the mail box?? Not email a paper letter stating that they have underbilled me for period 12th of September to 12th of October and here is a special bill amount to be paid..
Oh wow I was shocked as it was for over the egsact period the black out happened from Sept 1st to 6th of September we had no power yet they still billed me for that week..
I tryed in vain to speak to someone but I was just sent around and around in circles 🤬
I have since written a letter of complaint again to the .ombudsmen as this company is sneakily trying to make me pay back the $250 credit I got by saying they underbilled me for that period..
I have sent photos of the letter and the bill to the ombudsman and they are investigation
if you are thinking about changing to this company DONT THEY ARE THE WORST I was with them for 7 years..
I have now changed suppliers and have found a much cheaper rate..
My complaint with this company is still ongoing but I won't be giving them any more of my Money !!
Definatly go to the ombudsmen if you need help because it's the only way company's like this one will be made accountable for bad service 🥲

Unpaid Balance and Misleading Refunds: My Experience with Engie


Engie initially agreed to reimburse me $1,429.80, but I only received $755.78. I have written confirmation and text messages stating that they would send the full amount. They mentioned the payment would be made in two parts, with the first payment being $755.80, followed by partial payments to cover the remaining balance. I was okay with this arrangement, though it seemed questionable. Sure enough, when I called the call center two weeks later, they claimed I had already been paid the full balance, with nothing left to pay. If you're reading this, I recommend filing a complaint with Fair Trading, as I plan to, because you never know how many customers this might be happening to.

We were with ENGIE for a few years ……… stay away

We were with ENGIE for a few years for both gas and electricity, despite solar panels and a battery our electricity bills were getting ridiculously high as well as the gas bills. We overpaid our accounts with fortnightly payments and when we changed providers we were $164.00 in credit - according to ENGIE customer service.
Trying to get our money back has been and continues to be the worst experience. So far, ENGIE has reduced what we are due back to just $40 and we receive conflicting messages regularly stating our refund is being processed and then denied.
STAY AWAY FROM ENGIE!!!!!!!

I have a 6kw solar system with battery

I have a 6kw solar system with battery. I was still getting $1500 bills during autumn and winter. We use very little power. put an electric timer on hot water so it heats during the day as it was heating at night. As it turns out Engie kept filling the battery at normal night to run the bill up. They informed us it was in the fine print. The battery easily refills during the day so this is almost criminal. Be ware

Comment expliquer qu'en 2023 jai eu une régule de charges de + 69€ alors qu'en 2024 on me réclame plus de 800 € alors que je n'ai en rien changé d'attitude énergétique. Aucune réponse ne m'a été apportée si ce nest que de me noyer dans des tonnes de chiffres incompréhensibles, trop technique

Misleading, overcharging and terrible customer service

The full story is below but to sum it up, their customer service is terrible. Long wait times, speaking to multiple people and being passed to different teams, empty promises. You will most likely have to get the Energy and Water Ombudsman involved which they will pressure you not too with lowball discounts. Engie is not worth your time or money.

Have been with Engie since they were Simply Energy and have since left. I am still having issues paying my final bills. I persisted with them for too long as we were moving house and waited to change energy providers when we moved. I should have done it much sooner.
From the get go they put my neighbor's meter down instead of mine. They then charged me exclusively at peak rates.
I brough it to their attention that a peak rate isn't a peak rate when you charge it 100 percent of the time and was told sorry you have to pay the bill which was about 4 times the rate they estimated I would pay when signing up with them. Told them I was going to the Energy and Water ombudsman and they offered me a $150 discount due to 'poor customer service' and sent an email that said customers were encouraged to work with their supplier.
I tried working with them by breaking down the costs in their bills, I don't believe they read these emails and insisted on the final bill amount. No one thought it was strange that I was being charged exclusively at peak rates.
The ombudsman process took about 6 weeks and during that time Engie was sending me emails advising that I would occur late fees. I reached out the ombudsman who said that shouldn't be happening and made it stop. The ombudsman were the ones who noticed the wrong meter and eventually sorted the bills out and got me a price reduction for approximately $400.
During this time Simply Energy rebranded to Engie and all my previous bills were removed from their website so without my emails I had no billing history and their customer service struggled to find it over the phone as well.
I have reached out to Engie about the $150 discount offered for poor customer service and they have advised that due to receiving a $400 reduction from the ombudsman I am not eligible for any 'further discount'. Keeping in mind the $400 was not a discount but fixing an error on their end.
During this time I was offered a new plan that I was a assured would be cheaper and with a $200 new plan welcome bonus/price reduction. When they changed to Engie and they had changed the meter to the correct address they moved us to a new plan but not that one that I agreed. This was because I emailed them instead of calling them. Therefore I never got the $200 new plan bonus that I was offered.

Again they are not worth your time or money.

Avoid - Would give a negative star if possible…

Would give a negative star if possible - absolute nightmare! Do not use if you're expecting decent customer service.
Trying to close and finalise a bill - 6 weeks later, 5 different bills of varying amounts, and now the last payment made has disappeared from Engie's system!
Don't bother wasting time on hold, Engie's customer support team is sure to let you down - Go straight to the Energy & Water Ombudsman in your respective state.

Absolute nightmare to work with

Absolute nightmare to work with. I made the mistake of signing up before checking reviews. Cancelled after reading reviews (2 hours later.
Now, cannot get electricity supplied to the house I'm moving into in one week, because Engie still have a "supply order" at the place. Called them four times so far, they tell me it was canceled, but speaking to the local energy supplier they tell me the order is still in place. They take forever to respond, call centres are based overseas. Avoid this company at all costs. Looks like I'll need to speak to the ombudsman before I can have electricity supplied to my new residence.

Liars and scammers

After moving into a new house I received a letter addressed to 'The Occupant' from Engie after we had signed up to another electricity company. I called Engie who said don't worry about it, you don't have an account with us, we just signed you up tentatively, if you receive any more letters disregard them, which we did. About a month later I received another letter from Engie which was a bill. The bill has also taken our Australian Government Energy Relief quarterly amount which is $75. I called Engie who told me, don't worry about it, we'll wipe the account. I said I am worried about it, you've told me that before and you have claimed my $75 government bonus because the eligibility for this is per household. They told me that because the previous tenants were with Engie the account was carried over. I tried to explain that when someone closes their account you don't just keep billing that address. Then they explained to me that the government has initiated the $75 bonus and they couldn't do anything about it. They'll be hearing from the ombudsman about this unethical practice.

I received the most ridiculous bill…

I received the most ridiculous bill ever not long after becoming a customer. $7200 for 90 days. This has become a huge financial strain which is in turn making life stressful & for the first time in my life, I have anxiety. Thankfully now I have a new provider and the bill is $3200 for 90 days. Less than half. This company is a disgrace. I would advise people not to use them

Keep money in Australia!!

Called company to add my pension card to my account for pensioner discount. Called 3 times (by the way it's 1300 number, so every time I was the one who paid for phone calls), was transferred at least 4 times, was put 'on hold' while incompetent customer representative wass checking somethinwith a supervisor.... It was nothing to be chekced ! I had pensioner card number, customer rep supposed to add it to my account!! It is not a rocket science, right? However for ENGIE reps it is impossible! After numerous phone calls I decided to try my luck and email to ENGIE on 2 September... Engie solve the problem - a few days later they just CLOSED my 'case' - this was simple and quick for them!! To be honest, guys, I do not understand why we all keep paying this company! And our money goes overseas, to France! Let's be smarter and choose AU company!!

The biggest joke of a company in the…

The biggest joke of a company in the history of human existence. Did not receive a bill for 7.5 months and then was issued it in one bill when I was meant to be billed quarterly! The outstanding amount was then automatically deducted from my account without my approval in one hit. Criminals is a kind term for this pack of thieves who now want me to pay an inexorbitant amount on a bill that should not exist because I switched to Origin immediately after the last bill. The reason why you cannot pay your 4.5 month late bill is simple, Engie clearly has the worst tech in the world and you cannot make payment via their app or website. You get late fees because their tech simply doesn't work. Scum of the earth business that everyone must avoid like the plague. Should never have switched from Origin, avoid at every cost!

Do not use! A waste of time and energy!

This company has absolutely no idea what they're doing. I emailed to enquire why my monthly pre-paid direct debit had not been deducted from my account. No response. I called the 1300 number - on hold for an hour only to be disconnected. I emailed again the next month - nothing. I called and finally got through to someone overseas who had no idea my direct debit plan or anything else. I was assured everything would be brought up to date. Yep! I was ht with a $2200 bill and 14 days to pay.

I have contacted the Ombudsmen.

I will NEVER deal with this tin pot company ever again.
