Was over charged for years at previous…

Was over charged for years at previous address thinking that $500-$700 a month for electricity was normal but after moving to a larger home and bill being $100-$150 a month I realised that they were ripping me off thousands of dollars a year as simply energy and now rebranded to ENGIE. Rebranded probably due to the numerous complaints. Have taken the matter to Ombudsman and now under investigation

I'm tired of messaging and call them to…

I'm tired of messaging and call them to request for an actual gas meter reading. It's been 3 months, the gas meter reader keeps texting me that he/she cannot access to the meter, and I explained that he/she needs to call me to open the gate as the gate cannot leave open. But no response to the text. I called the hotline several times, explained again and again. No success. The guy still text me that he cannot access endlessly.

I would give 0 star if I could

I would give 0 star if I could. an absolute disgrace!! Read me meters wrong and charged thru direct debit. and I’ve reached out to customer service multiple times, requested a follow up call multiple times and NO ONE EVER CALLED NOR CONTACTED!!! Avoid at all cost and I’m definitely bringing this to fair trading

Garbage

Garbage. Their Website doesn't work for tech support, the data is wrong and missing years of addresses. Wont answer you emails or tickets. Recently took over or rebranded from another garbage company called Simply Energy. The review score should tell you everything you need to know.

Un service client catastrophique..

Un service client catastrophique... certains ne comprennent même pas notre demande...incapable de retrouver les montant déjà prélevé afin de m'expliquer ma facture.
Suite a notre déménagement, et malgré un prélèvement de 250€ par mensualité, on me rembourse d'une part 184 € pour l'électricité tout en le réclamant 460€ pour le gaz... pourquoi faire un double contrat chez vous si c'est traité séparément ?
J'attends toujours que le service litige me rappelle car les prélèvements de régularisation sans autorisation surtout dans l'attente d'être rappelé c'est honteux...
Je pars pour le fournisseur Ekwateur, abonnement plus cher mais tarif bien plus avantageux avec notre logement energivore en location...
De plus, application qui est inutile, jamais de données possible...

I am so tired of not receiving their bills, so you go through the painful process of trying to call, finally you get yes we understand a box wasn't ticked and all fixed now, next bill same thing. Is this like a scam so you don't pay on time and lose your discount?
Update - as per the message below, it is impossible to message them on FB, even if you could, how would it get to 'Kristy'?

Totally got ripped over a number of years
By misleading prices being hidden under misleading discounts.
Avoid at all cost - Momentum was 25% cheaper . Forget the racv discount .
They overcharge you in the first place ,

It's a scam

It's a scam. Got my first bill today. I'm supposed to be getting 12 cents a kw solar rebate, when I was on this rebate in the past with a another company, I was always in credit but now I got a big bill. Definitely not right.

Absolutely appalling company to deal…

Absolutely appalling company to deal with, have been trying to get a resolution from them for almost 2 months regarding a billing discrepancy. With all the evidence and payment history they cannot even perform the basic functions of bringing a balance forward to display what is actually owed on a bill.

I never had an issue with Energy Australia, but since Engie has taken over it has been nothing but problems and my bills have increased significantly.

Did not honor the request to transfer…

Did not honor the request to transfer to another energy provider on multiple occasions. Lies about actions when called and places on hold for extensive periods. Again contacted today to try to resolve transfer to new company, promised a call back to update progress but again did not call. It has been nearly 2 months since the original request for transfer and it has still not been honoured. Mean while I am.oaying their higher tarrifs.

A fuir expressément - Non respect du code de la consommation - Techniques déloyales

Historique : Contrat = mai 2023
Anormalités :
- 2 Hausses violentes de la tarification sans préavis (infraction article L224-33 de la consommation)
- Découverte situation de manière impromptue alors que alerte prévue spécifiquement au contrat et dans la loi ;
- Stratégie d'endormissement du client (tout va bien, vos mensualités sont normales).

Actions :
- Fermeture immédiate contrat afin d'arrêt hémorragie ;
- Contestation service clients puis service consommateurs qui refuse systématiquement de justifier avoir prévenu dans les délais ;
- Alors que demande de justificatifs parfaitement légitime, mise en demeure par une société de recouvrement (attention, vous ne bénéficiez pas d'une procédure contradictoire dans cette situation) ;
- Face au risque de sur-frais et l'entrainement à mauvaise foi de ces personnages, nous décidons d'avancer financièrement pour la suite de la procédure ;
- Saisie de la médiation interne (juge et partie) en attente de pouvoir être évalué par la médiation de la république impartiale un jour.

Bilan = Évitez ce groupe d’apparence honorable si vous voulez éviter les mauvaises surprises, ce dernier ne respectant pas ses obligations d'information. De surcroit le contrat semaine/WE payant d'Engie est de peu d'intérêt (Cumlulus, VE, automates divers).

Additif (juillet 2024) après réponse d'ENGIE = Bien sur que non, nous n’allons pas régler ce "souci" discrètement : Nous allons mener la procédure, la gagner et la faire savoir. C'est le seul moyen pour prévenir ce genre de comportement qui tue ce qui reste de confiance dans nos sociétés.

Additif (Aout 2024) après intervention médiateur de la république :
- Bien entendu, la pseudo médiation interne d'Engie n'a même pas voulu étudier notre demande ;
- Du coup, dossier passé au médiateur cet été et décision en notre faveur (pas prévenu du changement de tarif = pas de changement de tarif)
- Dossier contre Engie poussé par le médiateur de la république à la répression des fraudes, en espérant qu'un maximum de personnes abusées pourront être indemnisées.

Une catastrophe

Une catastrophe ! Je suis une jeune active vivant dans un studio neuf. Mon chauffagiste et moi-même avions pris soin de paramétrer la chaudière pour une consommation intelligente. Je suis peu souvent à la maison, je cuisine peu. Ma facture a triplé... TRIPLÉ ! C'est un braquage à ce stade. L'application est accessible une fois sur deux. À fuir ! Très, très vite !

Be VERY careful with these suppliers

Be VERY careful with these suppliers. They work in tandem with energy brokers like Northern Gas and Power to sell you a long contract you cant get out of on the basis that it can be changed when tariffs fall called Blend & Extend. They then give all number of excuses not to change despite in my case gas now being 1/3rd of the price when we entered into the contract. My advice is to steer VERY clear altogether and deal direct with a decent energy company with good reviews and check how much commission any so called Energy Broker is getting.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. Have been calling since March 2024 as have never received an electricity bill and have been in our new residence since Dec 2023. Every time I call get told the matter will be resolved..still not resolved. have insisted on speaking with a supervisor and have spoken to two who have promised they will look into the issue & call me back. No return phone call.. when I have called back again to follow up was told to stop calling. Issue still not resolved.. will be changing service provider.. stay away …

Do not recommend

Engie appears to have bought out Simply Energy, the energy company I signed up with.

Supply charge and unit price have both jumped by over 30% in two years. When I compare their rates with other energy providers in Australia, Engie costs over $600 more per year than several (5+) other providers.

Customer service is appalling. The automated phone directory has some kind of technical malfunction. In many cases you have to listen to the various options in full three or four times before it will register your selection. It can take up to 15 minutes to navigate this system and find yourself, finally, on hold. On the occasions that I have managed to speak with customer service representatives, they have been unable to help with my enquiry, but have assured me that they (or another department) will follow up via email. On every occasion (three out of three), the email never arrived.

I have also tried using the online chat. There is a quicker response time here. On two occasions I was told by the sales representative who fielded my initial enquiry that they would transfer me to the customer service team. I waited a total of 25 minutes and was never connected. On another occasion I was told that a customer service representative would follow up by email but they never did. Only once did I receive an email from their customer complaints team. This eventually led to a phone call and a resolution.

The only recommendation I can make in relation to Engie is to avoid them.

I have been with this dreadful company…

I have been with this dreadful company now since 1st January 2023 and they have yet to fulfil their legal obligation of physically reading the meter at least once a year.
I get ludicrously high estimates ( currently in excess of 15000 units more than the meter suggests)
I have contacted them more times than I would care to think and don't get anywhere approaching a meaningful answer let alone the common courtesy of a reply.
I have been in business for over 50 years and without doubt the most incompetent company I have had the misfortune to have dealt with. How they maintain their business is a mystery.
Avoid at all costs

Simply Pathetic!!

I had a connection with engie and their communication is extremely poor, followed up 100 times but still no bills after 3+ months...guys in chat are useless as they don't know anything!!! Raise queries too but again no Response!!
Perfect recipe for disaster as a company!! I am not sure how even they survive in this market...

FIABILITE DES INFORMATIONS SUR LE SITE ENGIE

Gros soucis sur la gestion des compteurs LINKY sur le site de Engie. L'outil fourni par Engie est censé être une aide pour l'optimisation de la consommation en energie, hors depuis plusieurs mois je me rends compte que les donnée en Kwh figées electroniquement parlant, sont remaniés d'un jour sur l'autre voir d'un mois sur l'autre. Certains relevés ne sont plus accessibles pour permettre de contrôler la facture. Soit on me renvoie chez Enedis, leur sous traitant qui possède un site encore plus nébuleux (je n'ai aucun lien factuel avec cet organisme), soit on s'obstine à me parler en euros.
