Energy Locals 

Prices used to be really good but price increases have made them more expensive than other companies now. It pays to shop around. I'm looking at changing due to their current prices.

Simple to transfer to a very competitively priced plan. Referred from Solar Quotes via Bill Hero and looking at saving 20% off the big name resellers

It was easy to sign up and when I compared the power rates with my previous supplier the cost was either comparable or significantly lower with Energy Locals. I was not able to run all the scenarios hence. In any case Energy Locals allows us to sell our excess power either to our local friends or back to ourselves in our other residence.

I am in my 70’s and fairly computer illiterate. I was recommended to try Energylocals.com.au by Billhero.com.au and signed up on my phone. Very easy and clear instructions

Have done the maths surrounding the $13.99 subscription added to the daily supply charge = 151c/day. However, with the reduced tarrifs and extra solar FiT, I'm hoping I will come out ahead of my old providers rates. Time will tell!!

Their electricity rates are cheaper than my present provider. I will save hundreds of $$ per year. The change to Energy Locals was quick and easy.

Quite ridiculous as an existing customer just moving to a different house that you close our account and make us sign up from scratch as if we are a new customer - required to enter all details such as Pension and Driver's Licence. Your competitors just require one moving house transaction, retain all our details. You were really opening the door for us to consider all other suppliers with no recognition we are an existing customer.
NB - after posting above it was really nice to receive a response to apologise and indicate they are working on this issue. They are still a new company and I'll stick with them.

I joined Energy locals in October 2023 and did not receive a bill in November.
When I didn’t receive one in December either I contacted them through their Messenger service to find out what the problem was.
I got an initial response that I was on billing hold. The agent I dealt with didn’t know why but said she was following it up.
After a week I had heard nothing so I sent a new enquiry.
That was 5 working days ago and at time of writing I have had zero responses to my (now multiple) requests for an update on the situation.
I will stay with the retailer because I am entitled to credits for staying with them through Tesla but would not recommend them to others at this point due to the por level of communication.
I have a smart meter and am on the Tesla energy plan.

Details well set out. I have based my choice Energy Locals on its environmental and social commitments. This company is more of a co-op than most retailers. Thank you for this initiative.

I’ve already switched my electricity from my previous to my new property. I did all this in person 9 days ago. Why are you asking me to do this again? Why didn’t ur system record that this had been done and know not to send me this very late and annoying request. You’re wasting my time.
