The agent who I spoke with at the door was extremely professional and knew everything he was talking about.

The switching process was more straight-forward and simple than I had imagined, with great help from the back office team.

They are currently offering some very enticing deals for both keypad and bill pay customers.
I would highly recommend that anybody who is interested in switching Electricity companies, to make use of the offers while they are still available and join Electric Ireland!

I signed up to electric Ireland last year with a door to door Salesman. Everything was explained and the call came in straight away to verify everything he just said.Also Electric Ireland gave me another deal to stay with them for another year.which showed they cared about their customers.

Excellent customer service, amazing new deals. Going to save an absolute fortune on my electric and the salesperson I spoke to at the door was extremely informative and polite.

Having recently reviewed my electric bill and noticed im outta contract by a few months few my previous supplier ive also notice of an increase on my electric costs also. I know all the suppliers have went up or are going up. Literally the next day of doing this i got a knock on the door by a guy from electric ireland. (Sean) The man had a great knowledge on electric and prompted me to switch with a 10% deal and £100 credit to my account. With his advice and Martin Lewis to i switched there and then and i would just like to say thanks. A wee saving will come in handy.

They totally revamped the customer service and also have some unreal deals going on at the moment. The staff member who was at my door was friendly and very professional and was very honest with me from the start.

I've had no problems with Electric Ireland as a company, this review is about the latest revision of their app which is cumbersome and asks for the CVV code straight up front before confirming which card, it also requires the address which surely is individual to the premises/customer number they already have? Finally when top up code is generated you have go search for it on a different screen. At time of writing no confirmation text has arrived . Poorly written app, not user friendly.

Only giving one star because there's not a -1. Got totally ambushed on my doorstep which is not like me but wish I'd read the reviews first. I immediately emailed to opt-out of the agreement and just got a generic reply saying it may take up to 10 working days for them to respond - when the cooling off period is 10 days!! I tried several times to call to be told by a robot that it may take up to 60 minutes to talk to someone as they are short-staffed (there are thousands of people looking for jobs after Covid so hire some!) all this on a phone number that can cost up to 9p a minute. If like me you do not use Twitter or Facebook or other social media there is no other way of contacting them. I will be contacting the Trading Standards Service if they do not allow me to opt-out (in fact I will be doing so about their abysmal customer service). The sales rep had no problem getting his calls answered as soon as he phoned to get me signed up. I feel foolish but will immediately cancel any Direct Debit they try to set up. Why can't people just be more decent and honest?

So I began the switch around 5th of November which was scheduled to be completed on 29th November between 1pm and 3pm. Even received a confirmation letter through the post of the appointment of the call. I waited in the full 2 hours for the call to complete the switch and it never came. 3.01PM, I decided to phone up Electric Ireland myself to find out why no one had called and to attempt to complete the switch that way. And low an behold, 22 minutes I sat here with it ringing, it appeared someone answered the call on the 22 minute mark but hadn't spoken a word after me saying "hello" a few times so not only almost a full month wasted in waiting for the scheduled call to come on the 29th which was another 2 hours wasted in it not coming, and 22 minutes wasted on the phone in reaching a dead end. Not exactly a good first impression to bring in a new customer. I've now done the wise thing and submitted an email to cancel the switch minutes after me phoning up in not getting a response with having to put up with 22 minutes of constant ringing as when it's like this with Electric Ireland on a switch, I dread to experience in trying to get through Electric Ireland customer support in the event of a fault of some sort which will be as abysmal than wasting time in making an appointment weeks in advanced to then wait on a call on the day that will never come to complete the switch.

Horrible company. You get better service in budget. The staff in electric Ireland are evil

Very bad experience. First, the guy knocked on the door and wasted an hour of my time promising good prices vouchers etc. After I subscribed for switch they called and left the voicemail that they cannot process my application because of the meter, which is bulls..it. No chance to contact them, all lines are busy, customer service is non-competent to answer simple questions. No call back was received after being left at least a dozen of requests.

Recently changed to Electric Ireland and honestly can't say how greatful I am of the service I received, From explaining how electric rates work to setting up the change of provider was a straightforward process. The sales person at the door was friendly and informative providing honest and truthful information not like my previous provider who hid a standing order that i was paying for nothing!!! They also took the time to help me aquire the app for my phone and left there number that if I needed any further help setting it up once I received my new card number they could call back and help. I also received my £20 switch bonus on the day of the switch and had my tesco vouchers posted out to me as there was a problem with my email. I received a call from there customer service team to insure that was ok and that they hadn't forgotten me which was a great touch. In review I will be a Electric Ireland customer for life.

This company promised Tesco Vouchers to the value of £60. After 4 months and many emails I have not received £60 in vouchers. The people dealing with the vouchers have shown a remarkable degree of incompetence. The whole process looks like a con trick.

A bunch of charlatans and fly by nights they have increased their loyal customers bills by £67 to facilitate a free £60 Tesco’s shopping voucher for new customers,Disgraceful

Been with electric Ireland for a while .had issues with key pad needed replaced first report was mishandled took several weeks to get sorted they have no tracking procedures once compliant has been logged and it's down to the customer to chase them for results
