Avoid this company at all costs.

I ordered what was advertised as premium hardwood live-edge floating shelving from ElaraHaus and what arrived was an absolute joke. Instead of quality hardwood floating shelves, I received rough planks with a slight curve cut into them, scratched and poorly finished, sealed on one side only, and supplied with cheap angle brackets instead of the invisible floating mounts shown in their advertising.

The quality is genuinely embarrassing — my 6-year-old could produce better workmanship in a school woodwork class.

To make matters worse, delivery took weeks, communication has been painfully slow, and after repeatedly requesting a refund due to the misleading product and poor quality, they finally responded offering me a pathetic 30% refund if I kept the shelves. As if anyone would actually want them. I wouldn’t even throw them in the fireplace because they’re not worth burning.

The advertising is completely misleading and deceptive compared to what is actually supplied. This is not some premium Australian-made product as they imply. Buyers should be extremely cautious.

I will now be pursuing a chargeback through my bank to recover my money.

This company claim to be Australian based. They’re drop-shipping con artists, lying to people, shipping temu-esque products from china and running it from a shack in Wollongong (just look at 28 Denison st on street view - the address they list as their place of residence on their about page. But all of the items are shipped from china. Nothing based here apart from what I assume is a single person, using AI to trick people and make a huge Markup for doing nothing. I ordered something a week before Mother’s Day - two expensive frames for my wife’s first one as a mother. 2 weeks later, they still haven’t arrived. I specifically ordered from them because they were Australian and it’s all a con. I could have got the same stuff off of a cheap site like temu for way less, but morally try not to. Now I’ve been conned for way more money. Don’t use them.

Fraudulent and misleading. Totally not an Australian based company.

- I was charged with an international transaction fee.
- Items received after almost 4 weeks wait was from China and was far from what was described and shown on website.
- was told to return the items to China to receive a refund. But the return shipping will be at my cost.

Stay away from this site.

No joke these have got to be the best lights on the market by a country mile. Looked around for ages and tested so many ones that were really just garbage. The Elara Haus lights I got were exactly what I’ve been searching for quality as good as can be. Performance as good as can be. Price as good as can be.

This company claims to be Australian owned, however my experience suggested otherwise. Communication was extremely poor — after multiple emails and phone calls, I received no response at all.
I purchased a wooden floating shelf and was disappointed with both the quality and finish. It certainly did not appear to be Australian hardwood as advertised. Overall, the product was overpriced for what arrived.
I would not recommend taking the risk of ordering from this company, especially if you expect reliable customer service or quality products. There’s no confidence that your order will arrive as described, or that anyone will assist if there’s a problem.

Please help, I invested around $5000 into some wall sconces for my new shop and when they finally arrived my electrician told me they were not fit to install by Australian standards. So I had to pay to return them! I feel sick that they have taken such a large amount of money and not returned it. They keep making up excuses why they havnt retuned it and now no response at all! I was scammed big time.

The "Australian Hardwood" "floating" shelf I ordered took 5 weeks to arrive from China. When it did arrive it was not great quality and came with wall brackets instead of the invisible mount that it says it comes with on the website. (Even if I did want to use the wall brackets, which I don't because I ordered a floating shelf, it was a screw short).

I followed up twice and got a reply the second time saying the correct mounts were supplied for that type of shelf. Except the shelf has holes drilled into it for invisible mounts so that makes absolutely no sense.

Do yourself a favour and look at the Google street view or realestate.com.au listing for the business address they have on their website - 28 Denison Street, Wollongong NSW 2500, Australia

Received my order last Tuesday and no complaints at all from me very happy, checkout process was smooth and easy website was easy to navigate - products arrive around 2 weeks after ordering to be expected with these types of products and the quality was great. 9.75/10

I bought the Elara Haus premium ginkgo chandelier and it is an amazing piece and great quality, don’t know much else to say that I am very satisfied with the purchase and I think next I will buy there Scandinavian slatted timber light for my kitchen next

They did not respond to my inquiry from phone, text and email and o let me know where my delivery is at and time of arrival

Great products that I received from Elara last week, Jess’s from support was so lovely and helpful as well. Made a small mistake on my order and she was able to fix it for me quickly….love the lamps I bought as well they are so unique and great quality

Updating this review to reflect two months have passed since Elara Haus took my money and then didn't send me an order confirmation, or my items, or any replies to my correspondences. They have over four hundred dollars of my money - these guys just might be the single worst business on the internet.

They sent me an SMS on 22nd May saying "We want to conect via email but we don't have your email on file" so I replied immediately with my email address. ...and they did absolutely nothing with it.

Still waiting for my card dispute to be resolved, but seriously, it's upsetting how terrible this company is. I don't think I've ever been robbed by an online trader before, but there's a first time for everything, I suppose.

I ordered two Australian hardwood shelves in early April and they debited my card the full amount on 6th April.

It's 11th May and I've never had an order confirmation email, a reply to my emails or a response to my phone call or voice message. I've had to initiate a card dispute to get my money - $442 - back from them.

Do not shop here.

* Just as a follow up, the day I posted this review, I finally got a call from them - because they'd seen the review, not because they were replying to my email or responding to my voice messages.

They told me they'd look into the matter, and they'd send me an email.

...it's May 22nd now. Still waiting for that email. And for my $442 back.

The only drawback was because the products were not fully in stock that some items had to be sourced from the overseas manufacturer causing a slightly longer delay but the products I bough are great especially for the price point.

Will be shopping again soon ☺️

Ordered the elara haus industrial bronze lamp and it is an absolutely amazing piece, something I’ve been searching for a while for.

The quality is great and it looks so good in my living room that I am just about to order another one

I ordered the Industrial bronze tiered floor lamp and had to send numerous emails chasing up my order as it was well past due. The company never responded to any of the emails I sent. The lamp finally arrived and is a very cheap and rickety version of what it looks like on their website. Although I did eventually receive the lamp I have still been scammed. The lamp is very poorly made with cheap materials and certainly not the quality you would expect for the hefty price tag. Please don’t waste your time or money dealing with this company as they have ripped me off!

Order 4 of the japandi silk pendent for my home and wow what an amazing purchase this was so glad I found this store - the quality and design of this light exceeded my expectations for the price.

Will be shopping again can’t wait to try more of their range

WARNING: this company may have gone out of business. I bought from their website (money taken) then received no subsequent communication (not even an order confirmation). They didn’t respond to emails and the phone number is disconnected.

Wouldn't recommend this company. Shipping took way longer than expected. They also claim to be an Australian based company but yet i was charged an Foreign transaction fee. I have also emailed numerous times requesting an ABN number as this is required for purchases within our business. They have not responded to any of these emails so clearly don't have one.

So disappointed I ordered 3 Silk Japandi Pendant lights they took forever to arrive and one came damaged. I have sent multiple emails asking for a refund or to exchange fora new one to which i have no reply.
