On 8/6/26 I ordered a bedside lamp from Elara Haus (online). It was described as being made from “high quality hand finished frosted glass”.

On 1/7/26 I received a very different lamp to what I ordered. The lamp is made from very cheap and lightweight plastic and the label has all language in Chinese.

I contacted Elara Haus customer service and they would only offer me 50% refund or I had to pay the postage for return and full refund.

I have never been cheated like this in over 10 years of online shopping.

The order will take a while to ship. But they will have communicate with you regularly and a actual human you can speak to about it if you need to. Dimensions acurate and product matches online image even though the website looks very a.i

Packaging very good. They even put plastic corner protectors on.

They are dishonest in every way. The lights they sold to me are illegal in Australia. They don’t comply with safety standards. After telling them this and that I need to return them, after much argument they are only agreeing to provide a refund and honour their “free return shipping when an item is defective” policy if I pay the return shipping cost to an address in China (note that they promote themselves as an Australian business) and will only refund the cost of shipping (and cost of the items) after they receive them in China. They will not provide a pre-paid shipping label. The shipping cost to China will be huge. Do not buy from them.

It’s been 15 days since I placed my order and no sign of my product arriving. The tracking for the item has no been updated and I’m getting very wishy washy replies from the company. I looked up the store address in Wollongong and it looks like a fake. Concerned now that I won’t receive my product and if I do, it will be straight from china and non complaint in Australia.

I can cope with a couple of weeks delay, but the cheap and substandard product that arrived bears no resemblance to the beautiful shelving that appears on the company's website. I wish I had read the reviews online before spending my money.

Unfortunately this site is a scam.

Avoid

This company says they are in Wollongong but my item took 3 weeks to arrive as it came from Hong Kong. The phone number on their website was disconnected and my emails were ignored. The only response I got from them was when I contacted my bank to put in a dispute and then I received an email and finally my item. Customer service is non existent and I would not deal with this company ever again.

Horrible. They lie to your face about shipping times. Highly would not recommend. Save yourself the headache.

Do not use this website. The company is NOT local in Australia (they provide a phone number where you never get a response).They take your money, with an additional fee, as it gets processed in Hong Kong. You do not get an order number, dispatch date or anyone to contact . All email responses are AI Chatbots. When you make an inquiry the response is nonsense, always about issues with logistics and couriers. I sent information to Mastercard for a chargeback, luckily I was successful. I can’t believe they are allowed to use Mastercards services. Do yourself a favour, buy from a shop and only online if TrustPilot has a good review.

Order placed 2 weeks ago. Radio silence since. Awaiting delivery. I wish i'd checked reviews prior to making this purchase. Is this a scam? Has crossed my mind.....!!

Do not trust this company!

The products advertised in the website hold little resemblance to the products you will receive in real life. The quality of items is appalling and not worth a fraction of the price you’ll pay. Despite advertising a 30 day return policy on their website, they make it nigh impossible to return items and good luck getting your money back. If not an outright scam, this company is close to.

Elara Haus falsely claims to be an Australian business and advertises "easy" refunds. The business has no ABN, no valid address (the listed address is not a trading site).
They are evasive in their communication. In terms of processing refunds, they will evade by offering future discounts, and then they expect buyers to send goods back to China at enormous out-of-pocket expenses with no guarantee of refund. It seems many folk on here never received their refunds and have had to go through bank disputes. The goods sent are cheap and not the advertised quality despite the deceiving website. Drop-shipping rubbish. Stay away.

Pretty confident this is a scam site based in Hong Kong. The Australian address they claim is their base is a dilapidated shack in Woolongong. Ordered a product 3 weeks ago - has yet to be shipped. Their customer service is (I suspect) a chatbot called Isabella which gives no information. Won't let me cancel the order or get a refund. Avoid.

Ordered a product, turned up broken and much smaller in size than pictured on the website (which was clearly digitally altered). The quality of the product (three wooden bird wall hangings) was terrible. I have contacted via email, phone and their website contact form about a return and had no response. Will be reporting to Consumer Affairs.

Scam company. Sent me a floor lamp which looks nothing like advertised on the site. Reported via email the very same day as I received it, they replied saying sorry and if I wanted a refund. Once I said yes, they ghosted me. Now that they have my money they won’t reply. It’s been a few weeks. They conveniently don’t have a phone number. Elara Haus “Jessa” if you’re reading this it’s for order #1616 which you offered to refund then mysteriously bailed.

Must say the quality is great. The price is great too. Shopped 2 times with Elara Haus so far and must say pretty happy overall I would definitely recommend them. Shipping does take around 2 weeks though which isn’t ideal but for the quality and price I think it’s definitely worth the wait

I ordered a very expensive drying mat
Has to follow up on the order which took 3 weeks
It arrived and was nothing like the pictures
I asked to log a return which was only answered 3 days later saying that my message went into spam
They offered me a 20% discount on any dorther order which I declined , same response that I my message went into spam
Then offered me to return the item at my cost to China , or a 30% refund which is not the advertised policy . I would say stay away
