It took so long for this to be despatched, but I got an email almost every second day with an update. When it arrives I found it to be pretty poorly made and the look of it is too rough for my beautiful kitchen. Would not buy again.

I would strongly caution anyone considering ordering from Elara Haus.

I ordered two floating shelves and the delivery was very slow. When they finally arrived, the product did not match what was shown and described on the website. The shelves were advertised as having a hidden floating support system, but what I received was different.

I contacted customer service and was told replacement hidden supports would be sent. Since then, communication has been extremely poor, with repeated follow-ups needed just to get a response. I was also told the replacement was already “in transit”, yet the tracking information later provided showed a very different timeline.

It has now been around four months since my original order and I still have not received the correct replacement parts.

Slow delivery, poor communication, a product that did not match the description, and promises that have still not been fulfilled. This has been a very frustrating experience and I would not recommend ordering from this business based on what I have experienced.

Lights look great if you don’t actually want them to light up a room. Initially purchased a couple not knowing sizes or brightness. They arrived and were terrible. Asked for a refund but accepted a discount to try Sa different style. Being assured they will be suitable and more than bright enough. Fast forward 4 weeks and they are installed and are no brighter than previous models. Asked for a full refund and they now want me to ship to China, when website shows Sydney address.

This company is a scam. I wish i could give negative infinity stars to this company. I have had worst experience ever. I placed a order for a floating shelves, I requested to cancel order within 20 minutes of placing it as i realized the quality of the shelves is not good. Within 20 minutes of requesting to cancel the order, i get told, the items have been dispatched already and will follow up on cancellation. After numerous follow up email they tell me they cannot cancel the order and will not provide any refund. There was no response when asked for tracking number. However i was constantly getting email telling your order is on the way, Blah blah.... I never received the order. Had to get my money back from my bank after raising the dispute.

I purchased a pendent light shade. It was vibrant red on the website and turned up brown. When I contacted them they indicated that it was the correct colour and that there are variations due to light and screen colours so would not refund it. SO peeved.

Fought long and hard with customer service and no refund offered, just a replacement 78cm rack that I would have to pay international postage for. for an "Australian company based in Woolongong"??

Trust the poor reviews about this website. No shipping updates; they have repeatedly said the product was returned but the shipping tracking shows nothing, and their system email was down for two days. It's beyond messy and unprofessional. Looks like a scam site. I haven't managed to get a refund so have disputed the transaction with the bank. Save yourself some painful waste of time and money.

Great lights I bought at a great price. Loved it

Of two table lights ordered, only one worked. The other damaged. No markings / compliance / manufacture id / Looked nothing like the website pictures. Aus business address is a dilapidated house in Wollongong. Email to infoatelarahous.com is returned to sender as “no such email” so zero chance of redress. Suspect it’s a spoof email. Your payment goes to a residential address in Hong Kong. The product comes from Ningbo China via a fulfilment operator so you can’t trace the manufacturer.

This is a scam site. Charged $200.00 for a plastic lamp that doesn't even have correct Australian plug. Now when I try and email them to discuss return, my email is blocked.

Took 2 weeks to arrive. Advertised products that is misleading and wromg measurement. Asking for a refund, contacted the store via email and it bouced right back as the email address is not valid

Extremely disappointed with my purchase and would NOT recommend this company based on my experience.

Firstly, I was shocked to discover that the lamp arrived with a European power plug and no Australian adaptor. As an Australian customer, I expected a product sold and shipped to Australia to be ready to use straight out of the box.

Secondly, the lamp looks nothing like it appears on the website. The product photos show a beautiful warm ambient glow, which was a major reason for my purchase. In reality, the light is harsh and fluorescent in appearance. The images on the website do not clearly represent the actual colour and effect of the lamp when switched on.

The delivery took weeks to arrive.

The product was misrepresented online. This level of service and product quality is simply unacceptable.

Do not engage these people/company. False advertising /misleading product descriptions. False support. Products are from China and not as described. The product quality is terrible and there is no support. Im reporting these to consumer protection.. They should not be trading.

Same delivery issues as mentionned in several comments. They tell you it is poending courrier pick up but it is coming from China hence the delay.
Also the email address for customer service does not work anymore and you can't call them on the Australian mobile number provided (which is a red flag to have a mobile number and not a landline for a shop). Also confirm the shop does not exist in Wollongong, it is a dilapidated house.
Will report them to Scam watchdog and Fairtrade

Tricked into thinking it is an Australian brand but it is only a drop shipping company with the product sent from China to the Australian warehouse to your house. Delivery was severely delayed, packaging severely damaged on arrival and obviously NOT from Australia. The product arrived damaged. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Do not buy from here. Item not as described. Long shipping delay and comes from China, not Australia as advertised. Refuses to take returns. Scammer.

A terrible experience, they make out that they are an Australian website but are based in China. Shippping is very slow. Their product does not display the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) and Licensed electricians are required to ensure that any materials they use and electrical equipment they install has this symbol to indicate it has been approved by the regulatory authorities.
The return process is very difficult.

Advice everyone not to fall for this trap. They advertised to be Australian company but they are not. I pretty sure their product also will not meet Australian electrical standards. I've been waiting for over a month now, no one answers phone and no one replies.

Be very careful ordering anything from this company. They are a SCAM.
Their website looks professional, BUT whatever you order from the site, it will be the cheapest of the cheap Chinese 2 dollar rubbish. Complete SCAM. Do not expect customer service because you are being scammed. They are NOT a legitimate Australian business like they claim. As for the positive reviews...that is them trying to keep their scheme running. So they don't have to invest in another website. All the positive reviews are fake, since i don't believe anyone has received decent product from them ever.

Huge let down in service!
Purchased 1 light fitting 21 days ago, I followed up a couple days ago via email (they wont answer a phone call) and they said sorry, its stuck in the sorting hub waiting on batch delivery. Still havent received it. They claim to be a Woolongong business, they are not.
Reached out again today, they advise it's in the final stage of delivery, can't advise when. Buyer beware.
