Appalling
I wouldn't even give this facility one star. I completed an e consult form this morning. I didn't hear anything then the receptionist at surgery completed e consult on my behalf at lunch time. I still have not heard anything!
Tried to lodge another e consult but surgery is not accept anything until tomorrow morning. Appalling service. Why fix the old system when it was not broken?

Absolutely terrible system
Absolutely terrible system. Almost impossible to navigate. When did we vote in a party that explicitly made the implementation of private companies into our NHS a stated aim in their manifesto?
I had to phone up in the end, and was thus put in a 20 minute queue, and finally told that there was no appointments.
Remember the state of the NHS, and the use of these outsourced companies is a political decision. It wasn't that long ago that you could see a GP the same day.
Is this new system really efficient? Another Post-Office scandal coming our way!

Unbelievable
Unbelievable! I worked over 40 years in IT and I have never before seen such an awful application. It takes you round and round in circles seemingly without achieving anything. If you were unknowingly seriously ill you could be in real trouble trying to use this. I gave up in disgust!
Just so infuriating.
I’m ok with digital things but this daft app sent me round in circles and I ended up getting nowhere. I just wanted an alternative BP medication because the one prescribed caused my calves and feet to swell. I would be nice just to talk about it with any GP in the practice.

This is a DISGRACE, something should be done about this. I'm in my 40s and can't figure out the riddle, so what chance do those who are unfamiliar with the virtual world have of using this!! Needless to say someone in parliament is a silent partner (via various offshore accounts) in the holding company 🙄

I was very uneasy asking for help via a third party for very personal problems and spent a long time completing a repetitive nonsensical form only for a secretary to call back to further discuss my problems. I shall never use this system again. It's obviously not confidential. I don't want to talk to secretary's or reception staff about my health problems.

entered my local surgery looking for e consult and got lots of irrelevant places but not the one I looked for

Used econsult I received email with info to go to see pharmacist. Pharmacist could help called emergency dental line. No appointments adviced to call 111. 111 adviced to call dental hospital or go to GP. GP lost their emphaty because they don't see patients anymore they don't event speak through phone. Dealing with NHS gives to so much anxiety and doesn't help with wellbeing. NHS should help but system is harms people.

Regardless of what you enter into their badly executed and repetitious questionnaire, at the end 100% of the time it will say it can't help and that you need to explore other avenues... total waste of everyone's time.

At least 6 times ive filled out this form and not once had a call back from my doctors. Finally got through to my doctors said i wanted to complain, they say i have to complain directly to econsult. Absolute joke!

Just had to use eConsult system, after answering lots of repetitive questions and getting nowhere. It told me to ring the surgery, who told me to go back onto eConsult. This is a nightmare, please stop forcing Patients to use this useless system. As all that will happen is people will avoid trying to see a Doctor, until they get really sick, when then might be to late.

A dangerous idea especially for the elderly. It was bad enough doing phone consultations but this is even more remote. They will replace doctors with robots in the near future

Useless eConsult software
Useless eConsult software: I need a doctors approintment. One time I was diverted to make an appointment it was Plymouith Beconhealth group ( I live in Essex). No reference link to eConsult from the normal medical centre. Get onto eConsult & the normal clinic that I get medication doesn't show on list ( had an array of places all over England, Wales & Scotland ! none nowhere "match" ). I am going to get a heart attack with frustration & not need a doctor ( except maybe A & E on death's door ?).

Very Wary of their Commitment to Data Protection
I must say that I like the idea of eConsult but have concerns about its take on Data Protection.
Filled in my feedback as I normally do. Asked a number of questions then asked if I agreed to my "anonymised data" being used for research purposes. I agreed as I felt this reasonable but was then asked some very personal questions about gender and hopw I describe myself. The survey does Not give assurance that these questions will not be used or passed on.
eConsult is abysmal and DANGEROUS
eConsult is abysmal and DANGEROUS. It has allowed GP practices to hide behind an impenetrable wall of digital stupidity. The options are totally inadequate, particularly if one doesn't know what's wrong with them or doesn't have a condition formally diagnosed yet. The questions go on for pages, and often don't provide options that fit.. there's never a 'not sure' or 'don't know' answer so what do you do? Make it up? What's the good of that? Will you get an appointment if any of the answers don't match the computer's idea of illness? You'll just be locked out of any help at all? It is an impersonal digital nightmare. It's beyond a nightmare. It's a diabolical travesty that could lead to very serious consequences one day.
Econsult debacle
Econsult is the worst epidemic going. Never mind covid this econsult would end up taking your own life through frustration at the idiotic questions and pages upon pages that you have to repeat and repeat. It’s a way of making money through gp surgeries. Also it’s a way of the gp’s getting out of the job that they should be doing and are paid to do. That job is to see the patients and they are paid highly to do so, but they are shirking their responsibilities. As covid panic has past It’s about time that gps do what they are paid and that is to see patients and help patients face to face. There will be more suicidal deaths with this than any other way. Or is it the fact that by the time you eventually fill in the form and get a reply back the next day asking more information. Then you wait another day and still no one gets back to you that you die with your illness so that saves the gps having to see you at all. A win win situation for them but tuff luck on the patient.
So gp’s there’s no covid, patients need doctors to consult with not computers. So get your stethoscope’s out, open your doors and let the patients in. It’s pathetic!!!!
