Absolutely useless......trying to renew…
Absolutely useless......trying to renew my driving licence, have given them my NI number, DOB, passport number, address, mother's maiden name, driving licence number and keep getting this stupid error "It has not been possible to use your passport photo on your driving licence as DVLA have been unable to confirm your identity online" despite providing them EVERY detail they asked for. Now face the added waste of time of going to a post office and paying more to get it done. Nobody answers the phone. Ever. Working from home ? Euphemism for doing nothing. Where's the accountability ? Typical UK, zero service culture, just a culture of anonymous unaccountable third raters.

Everything is fine regarding the test. However I was on the phone to a worker as I was a little confused about some things and she was rude upfront and seemed like she didn’t care. She reduced me to tears with the way she spoke to me. Do not recommend customer service.

I've tried to renew my license 4 times…
I've tried to renew my license 4 times online and I get one step further each time and says I've " timed out". Although it says you have 20 mins to complete the renewal, I was on there the max of 3 minutes. Awful website. And that's the official government Web site. No wonder so many people get fines or have issues. I have still Been un able to renew my license.

if it was possible to give a 0 star rating i would,absolute pis take of a place, i’ve been waiting for my hgv license since november 22,i ring dvla every week to be told that they can’t give me a time scale,how long does it take to look at a few forms,i hate moaning but the dvla need a major overhaul,just like most of the government funded organisations there under staffed and probably underfunded, this is what we pay our taxes for people,a crock of s..t pathetic, i don’t blame the people who work there they sound as p.she’s off as me,there gets a point we’re you wonder if it’s worth the wait. another form of control, playing god with someone’s livelihood, get your sh.t together

Who on earth designed the DVSA Driving Test booking system. It's a joke!
To try to book a test in the town that you need to take your test in is like taking a quiz. Instead of offering available dates in your town, it suggests other towns that 'might' have dates. Are you serious DVSA?! Provide a calendar where the next dates are available. You have them stored in a database, yet the web pages have been really badly designed. This just shows the public sector employs the lowest of intelligence. Pull your finger out DVSA and provide a descent system!
Why are the DVLA so terrible?
Needed to cancel tax as I had sold the car. I had forgotten the V5c number so called them. Apparently they cannot help with this over the phone, chat or email - the only way is to write to them.
Also, they advised that it will take minimum 2-4 weeks to process this, and then they will cancel my Direct Debit.
Seeing as my next DD goes out at the beginning of next month, I have cancelled mine immediately. My father is still waiting for a repayment from them from 15 months ago!
If DVLA was a business they would not survive in the commercial world.

These guys have been wonderfull to me to be honest over the years, recently i updated my D.Licence sent photos, fees etc they did it proffessionally and even return the cheaque saying i shouldnt pay as it was my mistake. They return everything with my New D/Licence. Superb proffessional service. I dont get that they have lots of negative feedbacks, sad!! To me they are wonderfull Co. People shouldnt rush putting negative complains. be patient to DVLA as they serve milions of people its not easy job...LONG LIVE ..DVLA.
Can't access their share driving…
Can't access their share driving license facility or even email them as the system does not recognise my drivers license number even though it is correct. I urgently require yo share my driving jnformation with jnsurers as i have paid £1000 for hire of campervan for next week. If don't get ghis information j will lose holiday and forfeit the £1000. Impossible to contact them by phone or even wdb chat.
Unbelievably poor service
Booked and payed for a theory. Never got a confirmation email. Had to call just to confirm the booking as money had been taken from bank account. Turned up on the day as confirmed to find building closed for refurbishment!
No one bothered to contact before arriving!
Called while waiting at the building to complain, told to call next day and rebook. There was no apology. Next day called again and told to rebook online only to discover you cannot rebook without repaying!!! Had to request refund separately via lengthy email process. Gave up.
Another dispicably run government company making huge profits whilst providing the most unprofessional service you can imagine. This country has gone down the pan.

I can fly to spain quicker than getting any answers over the phone and in fact, there are no answers on the phone and when you do get through to anyone you are welcomed by a foreign worker with poor English.The tax we pay is ridiculous considering what service we get in return.

this little empire in swansea are useless and drunk on power, they hold the key to a lot of peoples life work and freedom and they are fools at best, more delibratley awkard. went to renew my photo id licence couldnt remember house number of my last address...problem, why didnt they ask for my driver number im sure its on their computer! ive had problems with them before hate. move these chippy gits headquaters 200 miles away, but not in the sea if you get what im saying! do the turks grant the greeks driving licences or vice versa i hope you get the irony, while they all work !!!! from home and take 3 to six weeks to tick a box or decide how they can be even more akward ! someone put in a lower tender, the taliban pehaps ? and the dwp i despise this country now every day more problems

A horrible organisation put in place to swindle as much road tax out of us as possible. £35 increase overnight, the UK has become a disgusting corrupt country.
DVLA, reliably brilliant...
Nothing works, no support, hopeless. Attempting to renew licence online results in repeated errors of DVLA's making. Try it all again, states 'we can't match your details' - the same details I previously entered. Try again, states 'please close down your browser and wait 20 minutes'. Try Chat, first message states 'you have answered yes to all questions, please close chat'. If I didn't already know the DVLA to be entirely dysfunctional, I'd assume it was some sort of scam. Is there any other government department as hopeless as this? Probably, yes.
Received a wrongful penalty 4 months…
Received a wrongful penalty 4 months after I SORN my vehicle & then it was scrapped, never received a single official notice from DVLA just a demand from a debt collection agency???? For failure to SORN my vehicle, what a joke!
3 signed for delivery letters to the appeal / complaint service & nothing?? Absolutely disgusting, the DVLA should be held negligent the whole system is corrupt.

The most pointless organisation at the moment!
Their booking strategy was literally written by a 5 year old!
First of all, you can only book on a specific day, regardless whether there are bookings available or not and yet the website displays everyday of that month instead of days that you can actually book which by far is the most illogical process I have ever come across.
Every other organisation that offers a booking system will display the days in that particular month that you can book because it is the most logical thing to do otherwise customers will have to go through every single day of the month checking for availability.
By the way please don’t use Covid-19 and lock down as an excuse, Covid-19 and lock down is not the reason you have a backlog it is in fact that your process was already awful. Covid-19 and the lockdown just exacerbated an already awful process.

DVLA re a joke
DVLA re a joke, sent off logbook green slip for a motorcycle I bought on the 15 FEB 2023, rang 4 weeks later they could not find it said fill out v62 and pay £25 did that, internet chat today they still cant find either applications, and goes what today they said I have to start all over again and pay another £25, complaint sent in today but I expect it to go no where! tomorrow another 20 mile drive to postoffice and start it all over again, sack the MD, he's useless .
