Excellent service
I found Drive Green after an engine management light came on the dashboard of my diesel car.
Having spent a huge amount of money on maintenance on that car over the past year I decided enough was enough and it was time to switch to an EV.
I found a Kia Niro that had most of the features that I was looking for, and called ahead to arrange an appointment.
On arrival I was handed the key to the car to familiarise myself with the interior and confirm that it was a car that I could live with.
Reece and the rest of the team were happy to allow space for me to look around the car for as long as I needed, before I have asked for a test drive.
The test drive was relaxed and comfortable, unaccompanied, but good directions given for a reasonable loop with fast and slow speed roads.
On my return after the test drive there were absolutely no pressure selling tactics, and they were happy to allow me time to go away and think about my options.
After deciding that I wanted the car, I have paid to reserve it and was advised that they had only just taken the car into their stock and they needed a week to sort the MOT, service, and valet clean.
When I have picked the car up it was fully charged and ready to go, perfectly clean. I have then had a few days of smooth hassle free driving until I have come to need to charge the car, and found the charge port wouldn’t open!
I called Drive Green as soon as they opened on Monday morning, and was instantly given a garage local to me that I could take it to for the problem to be investigated.
It turned out that an actuator had failed, this was replaced under warranty in a matter of days.
I cannot fault Drive Green’s customer service. Every car will develop faults, and it was sorted without cost or inconvenience to me. I would not hesitate to recommend them, and will be sending friends to see Drive Green when they decide to embrace the future.
Excellent used electric cars near Bath/Radstock
We were able to see a range of great electric vehicles, several of which would have met our needs. The staff were competent, friendly and not pushy at all. The test drive was easily arranged. They helped with road tax. The car was clean and ready to drive away on the agreed day. I warmly recommend Drive Green at Emborough near Radstock.

A decent dealership to use
I recently had the very unfortunate and stressful situation of my car of 10 years completely dying on me and leaving me stranded. The cost of the repair being more than the car is worth left me needing a replacement. I had eyed up a Kia EV6 for over 2 years and by sheer luck when the tow truck drove me home we went past Drive Green and there was one right there on the forecourt
The next day we arrived to view it. We didn't realise you needed to arrange an appointment, however they were still very accommodating; let us in the vehicle, managed to test drive it and even managed to steal some of Reece's time and expertise to answer a few questions we had since we have never owned an EV before.
We loved it so much we were able to put a deposit down then and there (feeling very lucky since we could have easily been turned away not having an appointment)
We picked up the car a few days later and after 2/3 weeks of purchase I have loved it more and more after each day.
The only very small hiccup is that the car was sold to use with outstanding safety recalls that were not communicated (we also should have checked before buying so I don't hold any blame for Drive Green on this); just would have been nice for it to be communicated. But a free booking with the dealership to have sorted is fine. I did email Drive Green about this and Reece responded offering support.
If you end up using Drive Green, they are a lovely group of accommodating and knowledgable people; especially those unfamiliar with EV's.
EDIT 08/07/26. Reece and anyone at Drive Ev have completely ignored my emails for help and support so I have dropped a star. They were quick to offer support but no response when help was needed
Great buying experience
Easy to make an appointment and Reece was very accommodating, managing to squeeze me in to a busy day. When we arrived Reece was really helpful, gave us the keys to a couple of cars to look around and test drive. No pressure to buy at all and friendly advice to help make a decision. Would highly recommend

Looking to replace my 2012 Nissan LEAF - decided to go to the effort of travelling to a specialist EV dealership. It was worth the effort, Dan & Reece are v knowledgeable on EVs & good to buy from. It was great to see a range of used EVs on one site & be able to test drive. Lastly having travelled over 3 hrs Dan makes a welcome tea.

BMW I3S
We made an appointment to test drive a BMW I3S.
When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly professional staff and the car was unlocked, we had a good look around it on our own, and when we were ready, took it out for a test drive.
This is our first eV and we love it.
The staff were helpful replacing a missing isofix tab, putting an extra cup holder in and sorting a few minor details before collection a week later, fully charged and ready to go.
The site is small but had a wide range of eVs to choose from.
Highly recommend Drive Green.

Very straight forward and basically being honest about the suitability of various EV’s in matching your particular requirements. Reece was clear and extremely helpful going that extra mile in setting the car up with your preferences and connectivity.Second time purchaser Drive Green always have a wide selection of makes and models. You will not be disappointed !!
Terrible communication. Highly dubious business practices. Avoid!
l bought a used car (advertised on Autotrader) from Drive Green on the 3rd May.
The car was advertised as (quote) "immaculate", with no marks/scratches in the pictures or identified.
I called to a arrange delivery on the 4th may.
The dealer unexpectedly told me the car had scratches on one of the doors and it needed to go in to the body shop, and would be up to 10 days. I reluctantly went with this (-and we hired a car in the interim).
Days dragged beyond the 10 days, with no comms from the dealer.
I chased by phone multiple times over multiple days (lines dropped or it went to answer phone).
Eventually got through to the dealer who frustratingly said a delivery date wasn't available untill the 25th May. The car was finally delivered on 26th may. (Note here, the delivery driver was impeccable.)
Unfortunately the car arrived with scratches on the rear driver side door. )It could be it never made the bodyshop, or these were additional scratches?) And there was a scratch and deep chip over there passenger side rear wing.
Remember we bought this as a 'immaculate' model, with no scratches/damage!
We tried to get through to the dealers (again multiple times!), who refused to take our call/call back. The delivery driver (again: impeccable in all this) managed to open up a backchannel with the dealers - and through him they offered an insulating fraction of what the body work will cost to repair the paintwork.
Oh and on top of all that (a small thing perhaps) the back seats were covered in animal hair

In summary. Terrible communication. Highly dubious business practices. Avoid!
Knowledgable and friendly staff, great place to buy an EV
Absolutely amazing place with very friendly and knowledgeable people. Reece went above and beyond for me. I went looking to trade in my truck and after a quick call he had someone down within 15 minutes to give a valuation as it’s a vehicle he doesn’t deal with.
Reece ended up getting everything sorted so I was able to drive away with a new car that day and I could not fault anyone who was working there.
I would highly recommend Drive Green to anyone looking to buy an electric car.

Great stuff, went with three cars to look at as an upgrade for our old ev. Looked at all three, drove the one we preferred and deal done. Easy peasy and Reece was very helpful throughout.

Salesman’s attitude put me off
I did a lot of homework into buying an I3 and as part of this did some research in to Drive Green, who came across strong on their website with what looked like honest reviews of the cars, with genuine service provided.
I found a car I liked on their website and decided to call to buy. They were busy when I called, so I left my details for a call back. It took them nearly 24 hours to call back and when they did the attitude of the salesman completely put me off. I thought if they are like this when buying what are they going to be like if I have any problems?
I decided to pay a little more to buy from the main dealer later that day.
Great company excellent value for money…
I was unexpectedly having to replace my last electric vehicle and I couldn't be happier. I called to discuss a car I had seen online and I felt listened too and received all the information I needed. I had never bought a car unseen before but the delivery was easy and smooth. The driver took me on a test drive and once I was happy I took over. Fabulous service and I was made to feel confident.
A positive experience buying first EV
We had to make an appointment to visit the site, not surprising as it’s not very big. We arrived and I was pleasantly surprised. Good selection of cars to look round. No pressure sales, just unlocked the cars I was interested in and let me go through at my own pace. Had a few questions and thought they were very helpful. The car was clean, tidy and fully charged when I collected, although there was a small stain on the drivers seat which luckily came out with some cleaner. All in all I felt the experience was positive. No problems with the car so far (3 months). Would buy from them again.
Drive Green were excellent
Drive Green were excellent in helping us buy our first electric car. We visited several times; they weren't at all pushy and guided us through what can be a confusing process at times. I'd really recommend them!
Feel like I've dodged a bullet
After reading the other reviews and after our experience I feel like we've dodged a bullet. It is definitely a strange business model they seem to work to.
I was a serious buyer looking for a Renault Zoe for my wife. Over the Christmas period I found one at Drive Green that seemed to fit the bill. They were closed all of the Christmas period, so I called first thing on their first day back hoping to be able to arrange to view it that afternoon. Unfortunately as I needed to make an appointment they said they were fully booked that day so I needed to book for the following day the Saturday.
Now the fact that we needed to book an appointment my expectation was set that we would have a comprehensive and attentive appointment with a trained salesman.
We were an hour away so set off to our 1pm appointment, mid-way there we get a phone call saying how the car we were due to be looking at had just that minute sold. I said that we wanted to see the Zoes they had for sale as there was several on their website so we'd continue on. Although I completely appreciate that we had absolutely no hold over the car we were due to see, it was disappointing that had i been able to attend the day before I may well have been able to buy it. Any other garage out there would have just accepted an arrival.
Once we get there my expectations of an attentive salesman were quickly dashed as the person dealing with us seemed to have little interest in our needs, was off with other people the majority of the time we were there and had very little understanding of the cars on the forecourt. After a bit of a browse around by ourselves there was one particular car that we thought could be an option for us, although all of ther cars did seem to have dents and bumps. It was £1300 dearer but also a bit newer than the one we'd originally booked to see. It was live on their website and was priced on the forecourt. We asked the guy if we could look around it and he grabbed the key and opened it up for us. After settling on the fact it was one we'd like to proceed further with and take for a test drive, the guy went into the office and then came out to tell us it was no longer for sale as it had a fault with it. It all just seemed a bit strange and after coming back home and reading the reviews one person said that it seemed like they just didn't want to sell them a car, and thats exactly how it felt to us. That was the end of the conversation there was no advice on alternatives that may have suited us, just really strange.
We went home that night and spent 10k with Cinch and the experience has been completely different, complete transparency with the cars they advertise, the cars look to be in great condition, we've had great communication and the prices are comparable if not better than those advertised at Drive Green.
Poor customer service, I'd steer clear!
Great little Seat MII from Drive…
Bought a Seat MII in October from Drive Green after booking a test drive.
Everything was super easy to do, test drove and car felt great and was in really good condition with FSH.
Sales staff (Dan) were excellent and bought it there and then, everything done on-line and drove away with a taxed and insured car.
Very happy with the car after 2 months and would highly recommend Drive Green.
