I just received my pod after a year of storage. I was thrilled to find the contents in perfect condition - it looked as if I had left it yesterday. When trying to schedule delivery, our schedule kept changing and I must have changed the location and delivery date three times. Each time there was someone with customer service who said "how can we make this work" instead of "you can't do that" or "that is really difficult." What a relief!! I never write reviews but was so happy with my experience that I had to reach out. I felt like this was a small neighborhood business who cared about it's customers -- but with the infrastructure and resources of a national business. I would use them again in a heartbeat!
I have used Door to Door since 2004 for 5 complex cross country moves. The last move was from an island off Boston's South Shore. The Home Owners Association was anxious about the possibility of the containers being left for a long period of time. The local Door to Door office not only provided the links to their documentation to share with the HOA, but managed to schedule the pickup 2 days early on the weekend. this was above and beyond as the pickup was located in a remote area that typically did not have weekend pickups.
I felt better because my stuff was safely off the island and the HOA felt better because the containers were gone before they expected them to be. Hooray!!
From the first call/quote to the end of the delivery it was so convenient. Tell them how much stuff you have by the number of rooms and they suggest the size of container you need and a time frame when it will be delivered. They drop off a secure container, you fill it up, and they pick it up and drop it off at your final destination. The only suggestion I have for the company would be an online tracking system for the customer. I moved from the lower 48 to Alaska and was told the cargo ship with my container was to arrive in Alaska the day after I got to Alaska. But not given a drop-off date. Had to wait 4-5 days for a phone call from a trucking company to schedule a drop-off time. Other than that the process was a lot easier than driving a trailer over a 3 day trip.
Firstly, their drivers are on time, they work with you on the placement of the pod to fill it. They take time to show you how to open and secure the pod. Then answer any additional questions you may have. Great bunch!!
Set up pick up, storage, and delivery without a hitch. Very easy to communicate with and all went smoothly!
The customer service and price were way better than similar companies. The person was my agent for the entire prices, so it was more personalized. The only reason I rated 4 instead of 5 stars, is because my agent went on vacation during they pickup process and never called me back. Also, they did not honor a coupon that I found on-line... The delivery guy was amazing! Great guy & did a great job.
From A to Z this company provided excellent service and professional customer service. The size of their pods were conducive to our needs. Very fair and competitive prices. I would recommend them to anyone.
Their service is great. I ended up traveling and keeping my things in storage with them for over a year. When I opened up the container, everything was just as it was when I packed it.
As much as I don't like moving, I'm pretty sure I'll be using them again when the time comes for the next one.

I used Door to Door to augment a moved from Atlanta, GA to Portland, OR. The deliveries and pickup of the storage containers in Atlanta we're on time and the drivers were prompt and friendly. Same experience in Portland. I would glady use them again and recommend them.
The actual movers, the people who pickup, transport and deliver your stuff in those storage units, are fine. Helpful, friendly and easy to deal with.
The online and telephone sales people quote one price, then charge you for another using a flimsy excuse. All sorts of "extra" charges and fees. They've got your credit card number and there's little you can do.
Customer service? Forget it!
Granted, just about all of these companies are kind of slippery. Save your time and money: avoid this group of cheats at all costs.
We had a great experience starting from booking and ending with delivery. They were responsive via email and calls. Great communication and great flexibility.
I reached out to door to door to help with my moving needs after I was referred to them by a family member. My first interactions with door to door was great. They really took the time for me to explain how many rooms I was packing and what I needed packed in there storage containers. After explains that I was packing a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom full size house with couches, pool tables, and 3 king size beds door to door assured me that all I needed to fit all the stuff was 3 containers. Door to door also spoke about how there containers were smaller individually when compared to pods however 3 of them would be alot bigger than a pod container. I then scheduled my move out date and told door to door when I would need the storeage containersat my house.
The day it came to move my stuff the containers arrived fine. However when starting to fill them up i noticed that there was no way my whole house would fit in the 3 containers I ordered. I called door to door customerely service and told them this. They told me that my sales rep will call me so I waited and waited with no call.
I ended up calling door to door customer service and told them that I haven't heard back from my sales rep and told that there is a problem. The customer service rep put me on hold and transferred me over to him. I told the sales rep what was going on and he said that I needed to buy more containers. I asked him how much it would be to get 2 more containers and he quoted me the same price i paid for the first 3 containers.
I told the sales rep that's not right that he mislead me after originally telling him jowls much stuff I had. I then asked for a discount to help as the price would now cost twice as much as just ordering 2 pod containers. The sales said it's the best I can do and didn't care about the issue I had. I asked to speak with his manager and he said that he's not around.
I hung up with him and called the customer service to explain to them how I felt mislead and lied to by there sales dept. I then asked them nicely if I could speak with a manager and they told me that I have to go through the salesperson. So with this all said I reccomend that you don't do business with them as they will tell you what you want to hear to get you to pay them.
Customer service was great! The sales associate took the time to answer all of my questions, and laid things out straight so there was no surprises. She was super patient, there was no sales pressure whatsoever, and let me mull the decision over. My belongings arrived at my destination in a timely manner and was well coordinated with the receiving company. Would definitely use them again for my next move!

Each time I called Door to Door I received great customer service. The people were always very pleasant. Very friendly and capable people.
There service is very prompted and on time. Very helpful through my move from NJ to AZ. It was about a week from shipping and receiving. No hidden fees. I would defiantly use them again.
I have used Door to Door twice now and in both cases they went above and beyond to make my experience great. When there was a schedule mixup, they fixed everything with the storage company without my lifting a finger.
