Containers were delivered when, where we wanted and taken away in the same timely manner.

I had my stuff stored for 5 years, and it was generally in good shape afterwards.

I did have a rug that was ruined by mold. I think this was stored incorrectly. Also found some moths in my clothing, but I be they were included in my own stuff initially.

Good company

Trusting to move all of your personal life belongings after a horrible divorce of losing almost everything, I found trust in every step with my move while using Door To Door. I can't say enough about Door to Door! From fantastic customer service thru the knowledge of keeping track of my things. I'll admit, losing a lot doesn't mean anything on just things, but having to heal from the long process of loss....that's something I don't want to deal with for awhile. Trust Door to Door, I did am I'm grateful there's a company out there who takes pride in customers first.

When we packed away our 2-bedroom apartment into 3 storage containers from Door to Door on a recommendation from neighbors that had recently used their services, we didn't know when or where we would see our stuff again. We chose Door to Door because at the time they offered a flexible, tailored full move and storage experience. Due to extended job training, we stored our stuff using their military pricing (which was awesome!) for almost 11 months before finally using their moving services to transport our storage containers from one coast to the other. Then, we paid to have the local Door to Door subcontractors unload them in our new place. I'm not completely sure whether Door to Door is currently offering all of the services that we used, but I can happily vouch for our extremely satisfactory experience we had with them. Every single D2D person I talked with was friendly, eager to help, and genuinely nice. Customer service is something this company takes seriously, and they took the time to help me with each step of our complicated move. They were very helpful in the beginning stages when I was trying to figure out how many storage containers our stuff would require, helped us get the information I needed to get the move reimbursed (by our employer), and the people who ultimately unpacked our containers were very careful with our belongings and our home. We packed our stuff very well, so that certainly helped, but I was thrilled and pleasantly surprised that even after 11 months in storage, a cross-country move, and schlepping it up a flight of stairs we didn't find any damage to our stuff or scuffs on our stairs/walls. I would definitely use them again.

Everyone at Door to Door provides great service, from reservations to delivery and pick up of the containers.
I have used them twice now, and will use them again!

They do what they say they will. That is my highest compliment. I have used them twice for moves (the last one cross-country). The worst thing that can happen is a mover surprising you. They don't do that. They make moving easy, which is very hard to do.

From the start, Door to Door emphasized staying in touch with one person to call to answer any questions and stay on top of progress. They delivered exactly what was needed - a cost effective way to get a room full of boxes and furniture from coast to coast. I had some reservations about how well I have packed and whether some things would have shifted but when the container arrived in LA everything was in exactly the same position as when we closed the door in Boston. They may be the lowest price but they certainly had high value!

Door to door was great. Process was easy, they drop off and pick up at your convenience. The only reasons I'm giving 5 stars, is because the storage warehouse only opens M-F business hours. This is only if you need warehouse which I did. Do recommend!

The people who work for Door to Door really helped lower the stress of moving. They were responsive, ON TIME, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was OK. Thank you

Although my experience started out terribly (we were not informed that Door to Door stopped shipping containers less than two weeks before our move date due to a computer error), the team we worked with helped so much that I would definitely recommend Door to Door to anyone. Special shout out to Windie for her amazing coordinating and patience. She fixed everything with the help of the Melrose Park team who amazingly delivered our pod with no charge on a weekend no less. I cannot communicate my gratitude enough. Thank you all.

My wife and I moved from California to Florida. It was a big move so we looked at different options. We liked their service and professionalism from the very first call to the final delivery to our new home in Florida. Every single person involved were tremendous and we highly recommend this company.
We especially enjoyed the flexibility to add pods as we went through all our things.

Reasonable estimate, personable service, picked up on time, delivered undamaged box on time. What more could I ask for?

I would say that 75% of my experience with Door to Door was great except for the rather large detail that they are not open on the weekends - they would not deliver my storage boxes on the Saturday (or Sunday) that I scheduled for moving.
What kind of company are they? A moving and storage company. When do people generally move? WEEKENDS. So I would not only have to impose on a friend to ask he or she to help me move BUT I would have to ask them to take a day off of work to help me move? AND I have to take a day off of work? Ridiculous.
I had to move both of my boxes in by myself. On top of all of that, I only had two hours to do so.
I had someone recently ask about Door to Door and I had to tell them the truth. If you don't work on weekends, how do you expect people to move themselves in?

From the beginning when my container was delivered through the seven long years of storing my things and even with the company moving locations from Northridge to Pacoima. There was always a friendly voice to discuss billing. Then finally they delivered to my new location in Phoenix. With just one broken item which they covered due to the fact that I had insurance on my storage thru the long term storage. Door to Door will always be the first number to call in future moves..

Found this an easy process, there was great communication along the way and they readily answered my questions.

Perfect service from start to finish! Really! No kidding! And, these folks were the least expensive around by a substantial amount. I moved from Mountain View, California to southeastern Pennsylvania. At every point, the service was on time, the communications were responsive and the people were always polite and professional. I have never written a review like this. I was very skeptical of the industry based on a previous move, but Door to Door far exceeded my expectations. Thank you for showing how it should be done! A+++

This dishonest company will try to rip you off in any way possible. We had a 2-part order, which included an initial move-out that went to storage, plus a second order that was to be moved straight to the destination. The second order, since it was a move, was not to be charged storage or pick-up costs (around $600). However, because of an employee's mistake, it did get put as a storage order and incurred those charges. This company is EXTREMELY bad in communicating bills and invoices, so we only saw this charge after everything went through. When I called to dispute it, they were going to "look into it and call me back". I never was called back. My initial agent, Chelsea, went on maternity leave. I called back repeatedly, talking with different agents each time - Sarina and Alli, to name a few, and got the same response each time -- look into it and call back. Now, it's been almost three months of this. They know they are in the wrong when they won't call back after promising to!

Other bad:
-We found 2 or 3 other charges that were erroneous. When I called them on those charges, they did (eventually) refund them. Their billing department really enjoys putting random charges on your account!!!
-Out of the 8 delivery/pick up times we scheduled, we were called on 6 of them to RESCHEDULE. Anyone that is moving knows that timing is really important, and to have to reschedule almost every appointment was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable!

The good: Nice customer service at the beginning -- they really try to suck you in. Beware of this! The price was really comparable to PODS -- I really wish we would have gone with them! We would've avoided this complete NIGHTMARE!!!
The only positive I can find forklift drivers were impressive and did a good job getting our units lined up on the driveway.

It has taken me this long to review due to the extreme amount of damage done to my belongings in storage making angry when writing reviews. I retrieved my belongings on 6/24/16.

First there was some sort of rodent that got into my box that left droppings everywhere and chewed and destroyed many of my things. It was given access to many of my storage containers due to the damage done to them in storage described below.

The plastic storage boxes inside and some of the loose objects were also heavily damaged, it appeared from being moved/up and down frequently over the course of a year, although I guess its possible all the physical damage was done during the transportation. These same boxes showed no sign of wear in the year of storage before being given to Door to Door. The box got from point A to point B, but I would not recommend Door to Door to anyone.

I needed to adjust my delivery date for my containers due to my closing date of the house being pushed back. They were not helpful at all in assisting me with that and wanted to continue to tack on fees. Every other company I was working wig did not have any issues in rescheduling.
