This was the first time using Door-to-Door. It got set up OK but the representative who assisted me didn't seem very confident in the information (pricing) she was providing. I paid extra for expedited delivery and was supposed to get a follow-up confirmation but that never happened. On the front end, the actual drop off and pick-up was super easy and the delivery person was great. On the other end however, there was some hassle in getting it delivered when we wanted it (had to place a few calls.) It all ended OK and our possessions arrived in good shape but communication could have been better.

Exactly as advertised, on time and great customer service. Door to Door was, by far, the cheapest financial option but we didn't feel as if we sacrificed any quality. If we move again they will be the first call we make.

Terrible customer service and communication about my account with the customer (me) and between the staff. I was told multiple different things regarding questions and concerns I had and the same person never called back. I asked numerous times to speak to a manager but they were "unavailable at that time" and never called back.
At the end of my storage time, I had better customer service and felt like some one was actually listening, but I still ended up paying more than I felt necessary and the "credit" they gave me for the inconvenience ($25) barely made a dent in the bill.

We had no problems scheduling the containers. Since we are in the Midwest (MI), Door to Door works with a moving company who brings the containers and the guys loads the stuff into them which really helps since they know how to maximize the space. I used them twice since I initially sent 3 containers to WA with stuff for an apartment and left the furniture and things I wanted while I was trying to sell the house. When I sold the house, I had them come again and got another 3 containers at a discounted rate since I used them for the first 3 containers. The first set of containers arrived when they said it would and they picked them up on the day they would. No problems. I am assuming the drop off and pick up of the second set of containers will go as smoothly as the first.

We moved from California to Massachusetts and if we had to do this again, we would have not picked a different company. They delivered the container at the set date and picked it up at the set date. It arrived very early, about 5-6 days before the scheduled time. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the company didn't do a good job at communicating what happens after the container is dropped off at their warehouse in the destination city. We found out that when you called to schedule a delivery of the container, they charged $50 fee if you wanted the delivery within 2 business days. This is something that surprised us and had we known that we would have called in advance to avoid the fee. Other than that, our belonging came in the same condition and nothing was damaged. Would recommend.

They did what they said that they would do at the price that they quoted.

Door to Door met my needs. How? Great to put your stuff in storage without having to get a truck and move it into storage. Pod sat in front of house and I loaded it within a couple of days. The prices are great and the driver contacted me 30 minutes before arrival. The driver was Great!!! Friendly knowledgeable and professional. I would use service again. Might need them for advice because i am planning a move across country.

We had move our daughter from SF to Ann Arbor, MI for grad school. She had lived in a one room apt for several yearS and had collected a fair amount of things she wanted with her in MI. Our only option was a shipping container(SC). The SC was delivered in SF as promised, they took care of the city permit for the street parking of the SC and in MI the delivery company emptied the entire contents of the SC into our daughter's apt, wow! You talk about great service. Door to Door did everything they said they would do. All I can say is FANTASTIC!!!

The storage unit was affordable and came in safely in one piece. The time of delivery/pick up were convieninent, the service was fantastic, and the drivers were friendly. I'd recommend Door 2 Door to anyone moving.

Everyone I spoke with on the phone, and both drivers, were friendly and good communicators. I understood how much we were paying, what it was for, expected delivery and pickup times, etc. Both drivers were late dropping off pods (so we could fill them at our old home and then unload them in our new home). Both were apologetic and professional when they were on site with us. The staff on the phone worked with me to find dates at short notice and at the end of the month (both times!) that worked for us, and talked me through what I would need to do in case we needed street permits for the units (we didn't, the drivers could get the units into a small driveway off of our alley!).

This is a company that thinks that management getting involved in a serious issue is somehow going above and beyond in service. They completely missed the pickup date, then they couldn't manage to work anything out with us for drop off. Finally, something was worked out because of the kindness and persistence of others. Customer service was rude and presumptuous. Any marginal compensation was severely delayed because it was mishandled, much like everything else. Many pieces of our furniture were damaged, even though we provided materials for packing. Would never recommend and actually will continue to advise friends and family to avoid anything to do with this "moving/storage" company.

Door to Door provides excellent service. The pods we used were a bit worn out - for instance the latches were not holding in one of them upon return to us. However, I understand from the driver that you are replacing the pods with new ones, in which case you will get 5 stars next time I use your service.

These folks go the extra mile. They even return calls on National holidays. Everyone I have dealt with in this company has been friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I can not recommend them highly enough. My daughter is using them for the second time. This is my first. If I ever move again the will be the people I call.

the service was very good as there were very few options for me. They did everything they could on short notice. I just didn't think the container was very weather tight.

The service was great. The pick-up and delivery were flawless. The e-mail communication was excellent. Nothing was damaged or destroyed. However, I never receipt I final detailed receipt for the service which I still would like to have.

My move was on one of the busiest weekends of the year and it was a holiday weekend. I misjudged the size of a piece of furniture and needed an extra container. I was devastated because it didn't seem likely that they could get me one due to the busy weekend. Well, Door to Door surprised me by actually getting me an extra container in time for my move and it was a lot cheaper than I expected! The customer service didn't stop there! The place I moved to had barely any parking as it was and it was on a sloped and narrow parking lot. They were able to get the containers in even though I didn't think they could! From now until the day I die I will use Door to Door for moving and recommend them to everyone I know.

This was my first experience with a u-pack-it / we-move-it type company so I was a little worried. I thought I had done an excellent job packing the pod with my household goods, well at least as good as I could do, and was expecting that things would move around inside the pod as it traveled halfway across the country and that one or two things would break in the process. When the pod arrived, I unlocked and opened the door with some trepidation only to be completely surprised to see that everything was exactly as I had packed it, nothing seemed to have moved at all. I was further pleased to find that when I unpacked the pod that not a single thing was broken or damaged, unbelievable. All in all Door to Door did an excellent job.

Just don't leave the box so close to my garage that I can't unload the box into the garage.
