Internal tie-down handles are fixed only half way up from the unit base, so if your estimating your storage needs on notion you'll be able to secure your boxes stacked to the ceiling, guess again. And when your standing there telling your wife thru the back of your head.. "We're gonna need a bigger boat", it's going to dawn on you what a racket this is. Win-win for these guys cause you loose your hundred bucks, ect. when you cancel.

...and if you DO end up canceling, enter the " making reservations" extention (rather than existing) or you'll be on hold for hours ; )

I called Door to Door to see what they had to offer for my moving needs. I had many questions and the sales person answered all of them, including giving some suggestions that helped me. I signed up for the service, the containers arrived when they said they would, I had them for seven days, filled them and on the seventh day they came and took them away. I also like knowing the containers are in a secured building, and if I need to retrieve anything out of them I can make an appointment ahead of time and they will retrieve the containers and allow me to access them. I would recommend Door to Door for any moving or storage needs! Chelsea the sales person was very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful!

When you move you need the company that is storing and moving your stuff to be flexible and work with you on the unknown of the move.

We did a cross country move & whenever I called Door to Door the representatives were really friendly & helpful. Our storage unit arrived at the destination warehouse earlier than anticipated & intact :-) Moving is stressful & they made it less so!

The people were nice and the price OK. However only being able to have them for a week at a time makes it difficult to get them all loaded up when you have to work during the day and pack them at night. They did let us exrend it for a week for a $50 fee. Paying a separate delivery charge and pick up fee is kind of too much and then we'll have to pay to have them delivered to our new house. And there's the monthly storage fee per pod.The guy didn't deliver them till late at night because they had truck trouble using up one of our days and didn't pick them up until the day after it was scheduled for the same reason. I think they need new trucks. The pods seem a little worse for wear and should be made out of something besides wood to withstand the elements even though they are covered in a plastic tarp like material. We had 2 huge rainstorms while we had them which also cut into our packing time. These are smaller than the other type pods. I'm not sure if this is a plus or a minus. They fit in the driveway nicely, but you can't fit as much stuff in them so you need more of them. They say they store them indoors so that's a plus.

While the help of having someone pack the container is nice, I wish I would have done it myself due to the broken items I retrieved while unpacking. Even when I suggested somethings I was ignored, I realized this after receiving my items and noticing where things were placed. The facility should also be sprayed with insect spray, I had so many roaches in my house after the delivery of my items.... GROSS!

My contact at Door to Door, Chelsea, was wonderful to work with despite the fact that I had to change the pick up dates twice due to unforeseen circumstances...one being a hurricane. Delivery of pods on the front end went very smoothly. We loaded (which is a lot of work because that's the part that you do - so be prepared with all the proper loading equipment - strong friends to help, hand trucks, boxes, blankets, etc) They picked up right on time just as promised. On the back end, they actually unloaded everything from their trucks and delivered into our garage which was also fantastic. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The savings compared to actual moving companies that load for you was quite substantial.

They were wonderful to work with. Made our move easy.

Terrible equipment very cheap. Changes after agreement has been made for pickup was almost impossible and their warehouse was literally a rock throw from my house

What a fantastic service and company. They were cheaper than the rest, but definitely do not let that fool you. The service of the containers, the customer service and the drivers are all top notch, first class service. I was so curious to see how my stuff was once I got it from a half cross country move, plus 8 months in storage. Not a single drop of dust entered the three units I had, plus not one ounce of damage my contents. Very very happy customer I am!

Picking up was very quick, but dropping off was a nightmare! We have slept on floor for nearly a week to wait for our furniture.

Friendly, Highly responsive customer service, a breath of fresh air compared to the usual sub-standard customer service, push "#" if you agree!

I had been a customer for almost 3 years. I made several attemps to gain access to my container only to find out that the facility had moved location without notifying there customers, and that I could not have access until the completed the move. Tha facility hours had changed and were only open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. When I finally closed my account and had the container delivered to vacate the lock had been changed. I was advised by customer service to go to a hardware store to but a bolt cutter.
I would not recommend this company to any one.

Couldn't get the exact date I wanted, but customer service did a good job to find an alternative. Have a tricky driveway and driver did a good job making it work.

Moved from California to NYC. When I priced things out Door-to-door had the most competitive prices for comparative curb-box services and turned out to be cheaper than driving a moving van. Reps were friendly and helpful.

In our recent move from CA to PA, we needed a solution to store our household while we sold the CA house and closed on the PA house. Door to Door helped make a chaotic and stressful few months much easier. When I needed one extra pod, they were quick to send it at a very low additional cost. A month later, realizing I could not pack everything leftover into our luggage, I needed to send a sixth pod. Door to Door facilitated my last pod drop off and pick up without a hitch. On the other end, Door to door delivered all pods to our new house. All the delicate contents were in perfect condition! Items clearly moved very little in transit. Thank you for keeping it all dry, intact and together. I would use Door to Door again without question. People on the phone and the pick up and delivery folks were kind and helpful. I will recommend them to anyone moving- especially if there is a lag time from pack up to moving in to a new home. Thank you!
