Quick and easy access to the appointment. I did not know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. I found my particular GP very knowledgeable and helpful

One thing I would change though would be that access to log in to retrieve this appointment details and referral letter would be accessible trough Axa app directly rather than different app/webside

Appointment was at a tine convent to me and the doctor was actually helpful and had time to here my issues and offer multiple courses of action to resolve this rather thany MHS doctor who tried to gaslight me into thinking the symptoms where in my head then refused to see me In person to see the symptoms.

The service agent was super patient and really knew the system and how to set it all up. She stayed with me online throughout the whole process of setting up my account and then arraging a consultation.

Over four weeks ago, they disabled the service I paid for in advance for six months (£90), and I still haven't been able to get it reactivated or get a refund for the unused period. They're a bunch of scammers. I don't recommend them.

Doctorcareeverywhere is an excellent app—very easy to use with a simple booking process for GP appointments. I also want to highlight the outstanding customer service I received. Fanny from the Claims Department was extremely helpful and patient in explaining all the details of my policy and how it works. Her clear guidance made the whole process stress-free. Big thumbs up for her support! Highly recommended.

Have used this service over the years. Like how convenient it is for notes and referrals to specialists if needed. However doctors have been consistently late (10+ minutes waiting or not showing up at all 20+ minutes after the specified time). App is also very buggy and logs you out every time which is stressful when you're trying to log into an appointment. It also forgets the PIN number/face ID a lot as well. Overall mixed bag.

Really makes life easy in using this app. Saved me a lot of time going to my GP for a referral. Highly recommend, so quick and easy

Below is a copy of the email I've just sent to this companies complaints team describing my experience. Buyer beware.

Dear Complaints Team,

I am extremely dissatisfied with the handling of my recent online consultation, which was both unprofessional and unacceptable.

I joined my appointment on time and waited 6–7 minutes before being asked to join the call.
The video failed to connect?
The clinician 'attempted' to call me twice. On both occasions, I answered immediately, but they disconnected the calls after 1–4 seconds. My call log confirms this.
It was clear the clinician was behind schedule, yet this was handled at my expense.
As a result, I was denied any consultation, left feeling worse when I was already unwell, and charged £45 for a service that was never provided ... taking payment without delivering the promised care.

I require:

A full refund of the £45 fee without delay.
An explanation of how such poor service is considered acceptable practice.
Confirmation of the steps you will take to prevent similar treatment of other patients.
If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no hesitation in escalating my complaint to the relevant regulatory bodies.

I expect written confirmation of my refund and response to this complaint within 7 days.

I required an appointment and after accessing the Doctor Care website, the earliest appointment was available within an hour of me accessing the website. That is a fantastic service. Thank you. The call with the clinician was first class. She was extremely professional, caring and knowledgeable. Thank you for a seamless process. Highly recommend.

Such a great alternative to traditional GP experience and thoroughly recommend. Great service, good availability for appointments and caring professionals.

I have now used this Sevice on 2 separate occasions this year. It was extremely easy to make an appointment via the app on the same day with a choice of times! And a choice of Doctors :) Super efficient service. Both doctor’s were caring and very knowledgeable, I received excellent care and good advice.
To be able to speak to a Dr on the same day, via video chat and in the comfort of your own home or a private location is fantastic.
The booking procedure was easy and the follow-up with clinician’s notes were immediate following the consultation. A referral was sent to my consultant.

Dr Sloper was extremely good ,explaining all that was worrying me with my condition, I felt i was pointed in the right direction for the next steps to take .

I believe Doctor Care Anywhere have failed to act with due care and professionalism at every point.

We raised a complaint on 27.06.25.

On 03.07.2025, they emailed and promised that they'd be in touch over the next few days.  They didn't get in touch.  I have since sent several emails and they still have not bothered to provide a response. 

On 27.06.25 we submit a valid DSAR along with ID. They have failed to handle our data request as per legislation. I believe this is a fundamental breach of legislation.

Once they’d realised their breach, they provided an excuse in writing, that was not neither acceptable nor believable which was that they’d assumed this request was for a child who was not a patient. Instead of following the ICO guidance which means they should respond to every request and which would have prevented this breach, they chose to ignore the guidance and ultimately ignore our request constituting what I believe to be another breach.

They then made a promise to provide our data no later than Friday 8th August. I did not receive my data by Friday 8th August, yet another breach. I chased this up, again they’ve ignored me.

What are they hiding? Why are they refusing to comply with the law?

They have continuously failed to respond to my emails

I have asked multiple times if they are a member of a redress scheme or to whom I can escalate my complaint, and I've asked multiple times for the contact details of their CEO, or that she contact me. They just keep ignoring me.

From the moment my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer and they posted his results online in error, to failing to respond to our data request, lying in their emails, to calling making a bold statement in front of my daughter about her identity which was entirely inaccurate, our experience with Doctor Care Anywhere has been nothing short of dreadful.

Based on our actual experience over the past three years, Doctor Care Anywhere have shown themselves to be completely incompetent at every given opportunity.

And if they take a look at our Messenger conversation from 2022, it shows them failing to tell me if they’re a member of an ombudsman or similar redress scheme back then! Someone must be overseeing their work. There must be some regulations they are obliged to follow.

I posted the above information on the Doctor Care Anywhere Facebook page. They’ve removed my posts and blocked me. They haven’t reached out to me about this yet (other than the below response promising contact today), but have instead chosen to silence me on their Facebook page. Everything I wrote was factual. I have a full audit trail. Why try to silence the facts? Why block me? Are people not allowed to hear the truth? People should be allowed to make an informed decision based on facts. Why won’t doctor care anywhere be open, honest and transparent?

Quickly booked and saw GP that day! The GP I saw was kind, professional, and listened carefully to me. He was able to give me a referral for physiotherapy. The only reason this is not 5 * is because the app did not let me join the appointment, instead saying that the clinicial had not yet arrived. Luckily, the clinician phoned me when I didn't turn up, so I was still able to have my appointment! It's good that there are back up plans built into the system, but ideally the app would have worked first time :) Thank you!
