Poor

Considerable staff changes, and almost non-responsive now. I am a director two large buildings, and based on my experience as a leaseholder in another building, I would not consider D&G as a block manager. The good staff seem to have left.

Consistently poor communication and unresolved maintenance issues

Based on experience as a leaseholder in a building managed by D&GBM, the service provided has been consistently poor, with long-standing issues left unresolved and very limited communication.

Examples of ongoing problems include:

Roof leaks affecting a top-floor flat, first reported in late 2022, resulting in internal damage. Despite repeated notifications and supporting images, the issue has not been properly resolved.

Exposed roofing within a communal hallway, reported in early 2022, which was said to be addressed during a planned internal redecoration programme. This work never took place and the issue remains.

Loss of access to allocated parking spaces due to an unresolved land dispute. This has been ongoing since mid-2022, with gates frequently locked by a third party and no effective resolution.

A non-functioning intercom system that had reportedly been disconnected due to non-payment to the installer. Although described as “being looked into,” there have been no meaningful updates since 2023.

Accumulated rubbish and fly-tipping in the car park, reported multiple times since 2022, without proper cleanup or ongoing management.

Poor communication, with emails often going unanswered for weeks or not responded to at all.

Service charges have continued to be collected, yet there has been little evidence of proactive management or effective maintenance. Based on this experience, D&GBM do not appear to provide a reliable or responsive block management service.

I would like to thanks Kim Santana for being extremely supportive in helping to resolve some administrative issues. She was very friendly and carried it out with calm and efficiency.
I am very impressed with the way the D&G staff step in whenever they are needed.

Working with Joanne from DNG Block Management has been an absolute pleasure. All matters dealt with professionally and promptly. I would highly recommend using these guys to anyone.

Absolutely terrible company

Absolutely terrible company, do not respond to emails, maintenance work not carried out, gardening not done, when contacting them they do not reply, only correspondence you do get is when they put in their bill.

D&G BLOCK MANAGEMENT

D&G BLOCK MANAGEMENT

I have had to deal with this company for 8 years and l would not recommend it to anyone.

They are incompetent, have no interest in providing a service and never visit the building when there is a problem.

Our service charges are so high that it will be a problem if we want to sell.

Absolutely diabolical management

Absolutely diabolical management. Pay the earth for the service charge. Leave endless messages and emails and still cannot get through to them. No answers. Nothing gets sorted or fixed. Roof leaks reported months ago. Mould inside. Diabological. I will name names. Excuses excuses and they put our service charge up by £100 a month... this issue has been ongoing 3 years with very little communication and resolution

D&GBM took two years to fix a roof leak

I don't normally like to exaggerate, but our experience with D&GBM Block Management can only be described as a complete disaster.

It took D&GBM over two calendar years to address a roof leak at our property that ended up causing extreme water damage and income loss for us, since it was a rental property.

As leaseholders we provided complete cooperation and raised all the funds requested in shortest possible timeframes. Same cannot be said in return – communication was poor and sporadic, with most calls and emails going unanswered for months at a time or not answered at all. A lot of false information was provided in their attempts to shift the blame.

All the staff members were unhelpful, but particularly so Cherel Cato, Alice McGrath and Laura Burke who deals with insurance claims.

We are now seeking legal aid to help us get any sort of compensation.

If it was in our control we would never use D&GBM block management. Unfortunately the leasehold system in the UK gives us no say in the matter and the company is appointed by the freeholder.

If you are considering purchasing/moving into a property and see D&GBM Block Management on the lease, I would highly encourage you to reconsider as the risk of damage is very high.

D&G Block Management

D&G Block Management, in the person of Melissa Brindell and her assistant Dami there, are unresponsive and not client-focused.

I want to find out what side of our building scaffolding will go up, as per their letter, but they simply pretend to not be in the office so they don't have to speak to me.

Poor service from a company that charges massive amounts in service charge.

Top Notch Managing Agent - recommended

Professional, reliable, responsive. I can't speak highly enough of my experiences with D&GBM. I've just sold a flat in a building managed by D&G and have nothing but good things to say about them - particularly Georgia, who managed our building. I've have experiences with a few managing agents as a director of the management company and as a lessee and have found quite a range of capabilities in the market. D&GBM definitely one of the best.

Top marks for D&GBM for their work with our block

We have been managed by D&GBM for three years and have found it a very positive experience, through a difficult time with the discovery and remedying of cladding issues and a successful grant application to cover the costs of that. We have an excellent manager in Georgia Solaja who responds immediately to queries and has built a great relationship with our management board. We have also been able to call on Calum Watson at times of need, and he spearheaded the complicated cladding grant application process for us and other blocks that they manage. We are very happy with the move from our previous unsatisfactory managing agents.

D&G disrespectful and disdainful

D&G Block Management Limited have not bothered to reply to any of my emails requesting transparency of the Service Charge invoices sent out since early JULY 2021 - now 15 weeks! I have politely emailed them regularly since then and it is clear they just cannot be bothered. I am truly shocked at their very poor management and their disrespectful and disdainful attitude towards leaseholders and residents.
