My attempts to join Disqus to post comments on a website just failed. I did everything I was supposed to do multiple times. Entering the password twice exactly the same might have been the hang up. These days with long passwords, I need to be able to see them. Systems where you can't do that, like Disqus, are frustrating. There's no one in the room but me to see the password. What's the problem?

Commenters on another website I frequent complain about Disqus. They have had trouble logging in and more. The same spammer will post the same spam a hundred times + over long periods of time. No one interferes. You wonder if the spammer pays Disqus or the website.

One commenter is an unbelievably foul-mouthed misogynist troll. He also uses other identities to make it look like other people like him (a common tactic of professional trolls). He eventually was banned temporarily, but he and the and his sock puppets came back, same as before. One guy mercilessly trolled a popular commenter who had inside information on prominent people. He used many different related identities that were recognizable as him. For a long time he wasn't stopped.

As on many sites, hordes of fake posters appear from nowhere to appear to care desperately about the Markles, furiously "arguing" about them on unrelated threads. I'll bet all the comments have a single IP number. There are also professional shills injecting divisive political insults into unrelated threads or claiming their neighbor died of a popular illness, etc. Some of this happens elsewhere, but it's interesting that Disqus tracks IP numbers but doesn't seem to use the info productively.

I had to contact the parent company of a blog that uses the Disqus comment platform, in order to have racist hate speech removed from a beauty and skin care blog. The comments were coming from a member in Portugal or Brazil, who had a history of making vile comments on Disqus. The parent company decided to completely disable comments on the blogger's page. Well and good, but Disqus must ENFORCE its hate speech policy and permanently ban racist commenters. Just disabling comments is not enough.

I sent a parcel to Italy nearly two weeks ago worth £75 and DPD are the worst service I have ever dealt with.
My cousin received an email from customs wanting 38 euros and the parcel dident arrive, I sent many emails and received no response, customer services won't answer your calls and web chat is a waste of time. Please don't bother with them as I paid £20 to send the item, they take the money off people and don't deliver. Avoid like the plague

There are several reasons why I hate Disqus but I will mention one of them. Disqus provides a means of flagging a comment if it violates a website's policy. I don't flag comments that I simply disagree with, but I DO flag comments if they are clearly spam, or promote hate or violence against a person or group. I discovered the other day that I can no longer flag comments on a certain news site. Other commenters told me that I must have "abused" the flagging feature. The real reason I believe is political "bias" from Disqus.

Just now, on another news site, I tried to flag a spam comment ("Hi! I make $50 an hour doing nothing, for more info look here: web address", and found that Disqus has removed my ability to flag comments, not on one web site, but across the board! When I asked Disqus about this I was told that websites themselves set the parameters, but this is a lie. NO web site is going to block a reader from flagging a SPAM comment, as described above.

I haven't use the service for like 10 years and today I found my account is auto spamming like 100 comments per second and cannot do anything:
- Cannot change password. The confirmation email didn't come
- Cannot batch delete the comments.
- Cannot even find the commend to delete on the dashboard. I have to open the destination site and there are a few hundred comments there for me to search for my comment.

Den einen Stern gibts nur weils keine Minussterne gibt und sonst kein Kommentar möglich ist.
Zensur nach "Goodwill"; wahrscheinlich wer gerade am Kontrollmonitor sitzt.
Bei der nutzung eines PC von mehreren Personen keine Erklärung ob und wenn wie man sich ab- und dann neuanmelden kann.

Disqus's system prevents specific browser extensions from allowing users to log into their accounts on websites outside of the Disqus website itself. Which is laughable to say the least. Also, some Disqus comment sections are clustered with spammers and trolling. It's a hit-or-miss type of situation for me when I use Disqus's communication platform.

Heute einen Kommentar zu einem interessanten Artikel in der FR gepostet. Ohne Hate-Speech, Beleidigungen, persönliche Angriffe, Links oder Schwurbelkram. Nach über 2 Stunden hatte wohl ein User, dem mein Beitrag nicht genehm war, die "Spam" Taste gedrückt. Ist ja so einfach. Diskussionskultur im polarisierten Land: Fehlanzeige. Ob dass dem Image der Medien, die diese Plattform für Kommentare gebucht hat, zuträglich ist möchte ich bezweifeln. Einfach ein Beförderungssystem für weitere Polarisierung. Sinnfrei.

Absolutely appauling service. Every time I use it it says that my account has been deactivated because of inactivity, and forces me to change my password. But the emails to reset passwords take ages to arrive, and then when they do, the links in them are invalid! Unbelievable!

User dürfen sich hier scheinbar alles erlauben und rauf und runter beleidigen. Meldung von Kommentaren interessiert hier scheinbar niemanden. Größte Assiwimmelplattform. Erfahrungen von Disqus in der App "DeinUpdate (DU)"

Completely useless discussion platform. All another user of the site needs to do is click "mark as spam" and thats it you are banned from that site for life given the sites admin don't do anything to reverse it afterwards or probably even know how and the disqus app team claims its the site admin teams responsibilty to change it. Totally useless. All a troll would ever need to do is sign up and click everyone on that site is spam and nobody could ever post on it again. That is how stupid this is.

Ohne Passwort keine Account-Löschung möglich, und Passwörter Zurücksetzen klappt nie bis selten. Was somit dann Betrug ist wenn man es Usern fast unmöglich macht den eigenen Account zu löschen.

Die Seite ist eine Katastrophe und total gesetzeswidrig. Die Email die ich fand um den Support zu existieren existiert nicht, meine Email wurde nicht mal zugestellt! Sobald man sein Password bei Disqus vergisst schafft es deren System nicht zeitgerecht eine Email zur Passwort Zurücksetzung zu senden, man wartet den ganzen Tag am Pc und es kommt keine einzige Email, dann am nächsten Tag. kommt die Email zum zurücksetzen des Passwortes dann kommt die Fehlermeldung hier:

Und man kann wieder nicht sein Passwort ändern, aber man kann ohne Passwort mittels Social Media Accounts wie Facebook oder Twitter sich automatisch einloggen! Wenn man auf Let´s get startet klickt, kein Wort der Warnung zuvor das sie dann Zugriff zu sämtlichen Eurer Social Media Accounts erhalten! Ich kann ohne Passwort meinen Nickname nicht mehr dort ändern, und mein echter Vor und Nachname stehen dort- und kann es nicht mal mehr ändern!!! Das alles passierte das mein Nickname automatisch sich zu meinen echten Vor und Nachnamen änderte, nur nachdem ich auf Let´s get startet bei Disquss klickte!!
Die Email zum Support kontaktieren ist tot!!
Alle Emails die man schreibt werden nie zugestellt.
Habe 3 Stunden an Zeit verschwendet, um diese eine Email zu finden, da Disqus alles dran setzt es zu verstecken. das man diese Email findet! Disqus ist so unübersichtlich aufgebaut, das man sich durch zig Artikel mit endlosen TEXTS durchlesen darf, aber keinen einzigen Moderator, dort kontaktieren kann wenn man Probleme hat, mit seinen Account!
Support ist somit nicht vorhanden!
Kann dort nicht mal ein Thema als Hilfe erstellen, um darauf aufmerksam zu machen, das ich ohne neues Passwort weder meinen Nickname dort ändern kann, noch erhalte ich ein neues Passwort!
Es wird noch schlimmer auf jeder Seite wo man mit Disquss kommentieren will, ist man automatisch dann mit seinen Vor und Nachnamen eingeleloggt! Disqus tritt eure Privatsphäre mit Füßen, und die Seite ist aufgebaut wie eine einzige Falle, um möglichst viel Daten von euch ab zu greifen, von euch aus dem Internet, mit null Support, damit ihr in deren Fallen tappt, und sie an eure echten vollständigen Namen geraten, und an eure sämtlichen Social Media Accounts, das sie die Infos zu euren Social Media Accounts erhalten. Was sie damit wollen?Was machen wohl gerade zigtausende Firmen in der Usa?Richtig eure Daten weiterverkaufen gegen teures Geld für Werbezwecke. Was nun auch die Unübersichtlichkeit, die vielen Artikeln mit endlos Text bei Disqus erklärt, was erklärt wieso es keine Möglichkeit gibt einen Support zu kontaktieren, weil der Support dort nicht mal existiert.
Nicht mal die Email die man findet um Disqus an zu schreiben ist richtig. Die ist ebenso falsch. Eine Seite die keinen Support anbietet, ein kaputtes System zur Passwort Zurücksetzung, automatisch ohne ein Wort der Vorwarnung , sich verlinkt mit euren Social Media Accounts...
FINGER WEG! Disqus gehört vor Gericht gezerrt, verklagt und verboten! Ohne Passwort, ist es unmöglich dort seinen Account löschen zu lassen.
Registriert euch dort ja nicht, egal was euch wer erzählt!

ZENSUR PUR!!! Mein Kommentar wurde ohne Grund gelöscht. Im Kommentar stand, dass ich mich gegen Covid-19 nicht impfen lassen werde. Das ist eine waschechte Zensur gegen die Meinungsfreiheit und muss in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland verboten werden! Artikel 5 des Grundgesetzes: - Jeder hat das Recht, seine Meinung in Wort, Schrift und Bild frei zu äußern und zu verbreiten und sich aus allgemein zugänglichen Quellen ungehindert zu unterrichten. Bei Art. 5 GG handelt es sich wie bei allen Freiheitsrechten um ein Abwehrrecht des Bürgers gegen den Staat. Es ermöglicht daher die Abwehr hoheitlicher Eingriffe in die geschützten Freiheitsbereiche.

Poor app. If you post some few views from different "politic segment" then majority of visitors of a given site (or its owner) are, your next posts here are qualified as spam. Ideal tool for censors in all totalitarian regimes. No feedback nor claims possible, just notice "Pending" or "Thanks, we'll work on getting this corrected". I'd recommend to rename this app from Disqus to ShutUp!

Always use a VPN when using this site, since these terrorists sell your info. Otherwise, it's not a bad comment app but can be glitchy sometimes.
