Wow all i can say is good things these people redirected my parcel when i asked them on Friday last week they said It would be delayed and that it may not come till Thursday so i arranged to get it sent to a depot then i get a knock on my door today and it’s Tuesday with my parcel i am so thankful and think the communication and customer service I received was kind caring and they obviously pushed it through for me earlier the level of organisation from me chopping and changing my mind was amazing thank you Dhl for getting me my parcel while I’m sick at home its made my day so much more joyful in a bad situation one of the best postal service’s I've dealt with

Look I don’t even want to write DHL New Zealand but I have to I wouldn’t even give them one star I had a custom motorcycle vest made out of crocodile skin and Louis Vuitton leather cost an absolute fortune I’ve been waiting almost 12 months to receive this item and they wanted me to pay and XS fee of over $480 to get it released I said I’m not paying this please return to sender and give me a tracking number when you do so so I can tell the sender the information he needs September last year I have been waiting for this floor no tracking number still no item received back to sender I am so angry and disappointed the guy that made the item is now making me a complete new one and sending it to me without cost because of DHL this was the first time using DHL and the last time as what he said to me do not use DHL even when asking them about my item they head told me they would call me back for months they never called me back I had to call them and then once I did they were very rude and abrupt and had not helped me at all and still to this day has not helped me they keep sending me emails saying that they will let me know when my packages get being Return to sender I am over it
Worst service of any company I've dealt with.
After 12 days my parcel is still sitting in the Auckland warehouse waiting to be sent to the South Island.
Although Customer Services are pro-active I was misled with numerous delivery dates and still, there is no sign of it being shipped.
It took 4 days to arrive from the UK to NZ and 12 days+ to still be shipped within NZ is simply ridiculous.
Never again DHL!
Why do companies use this courier?
The package I was expecting was delivered to the wrong address. The picture taken by the courier is not my property, not was it given as an alternative. Furthermore the courier didn't ring/knock to let somebody know it was there.
Slow, unreliable and just an auful company
Tediously slow on multiple packages often spending weeks sitting with no updates, they have never once delivered within the time frame I paid for. When you reach out to them enquiring upon the status of your package that has sat for two weeks at "loaded for transport" they refuse any help avoiding all the questions and state that any enquiry must be launched by the shipper. Though they are kind enough to include a handful of copy and paste "reasons why your shipment is delayed" comments despite the reality being they don't have a clue where your package is. Sadly there is normally only one shipping option to NZ and when I see DHL I brace myself for the lazy, lacklustre and lethargic experience ahead.

I will not Recommend anyone to use DHL to send anything poor service and slow my parcel is being sitting there for a month n they just keep sending email n try to track it’s still check with the custom what a waste of time never ever use this service anymore

Incredible . Always have issues with f**ex, and I can’t believe the difference with DHL. I know a dozen friends that have had the same issues with FedEx too
Worst “EXPRESS” branded courier
DHL used to be excellent even in 2020 and the first half of 2021; and even better in 2019 with parcels from Sydney to Dunedin arriving within 2 business days; but now everything takes closer to two weeks! Pathetic, other people I know are also complaining about DHL loosing their parcels and being asked to call some random AF courier companies. Things arrive in Auckland overnight, but nothing happens for at least one week. Let’s send fedex or fkn Auspost which is faster! DHL is minus five stars.
Crap service
Item shipped out of Singapore, arrived in Auckland NZ 2 days letter 10/12/2021.
Item then handed to a third party… Mangawhai is only 1:1/2 hours from Auckland… as yet item still not delivered 26/12/2021.customer service keep saying item delivery imminent!!

Very slow
Package has just taken two weeks to get from Auckland airport to Auckland customs. Still not delivered of course. I've had two other packages come all the way from China through other companies while this one was languishing at Auckland airport, so the delay is not customs, it is DHL

The couriers called me to come to the door and take the time but they left less than 2 minutes without calling again. I called them to rearrange the delivery, and customer service confirmed to send the package two times but they didn't. Finally, I got my package after calling many times.
DHL sucks
My package was able to get shipped from Singapore to auckland in like 2 days. Now it gets to auckland its been chilling for 14 days doing absolutely nothing. Hire more people if you can't keep up with demand stop being cheap fcks.
Unreliable and slow
DHL quoted me for delivery of items from London to Australia in 6-8 working days, collecting on Tuesday 9th November. DHL did not collect my items on the 9th November. The earliest I could rebook collection was the 11th November. DHL did not collect my items on the 11th November. I had to take the items to a DHL location on the 12th November. It is now the 29th November, 11 working days later, and the items have still not been delivered to their final location. DHL's communication has been poor throughout.
Express package (3-5 working days)…
Express package (3-5 working days) ordered from USA to NZ. Took 3 weeks including custom clearance. DHL wrongly charged import duty & GST but never admitted their fault and as a result, delayed 3 weeks. Not happy and no apology received.

Superb standards of delivery that puts local courier companies to shame
Courier companies in NZ are not known for their integrity. Delivery timeframes are "targets". The likes of NZ Post are happy to take courier charges whilst providing snail mail services during COVID.
DHL is the opposite. In my experience, if they tell you (via your online merchant) that they will deliver something on a certain day, a driver will come even at 7pm or beyond and achieve the delivery target. NZ based couriers? Gotta knock off by 5pm!
They also respect your property. I've never had anyone from DHL throwing my items or faking authorities to leave items. They always ring the doorbell and wait a reasonable period to allow you to collect the item (even for non-signature required items).
It feels weird to find it so refreshing to have someone just live to to their word. But in an industry where few care to and where many don't even apologise for breaking promises, they do stand out.
Your fortunes with them do vary a bit if your last mile delivery isn't performed by them but NZ Post as their agent. But that's NZ Post for you. Just try to believe that there's some greater power in this world and maybe he/she or it might look kindly upon that delivery.

Sorry i want to give -5 star but they dont have option..Dont rely on them for their needs. Fedex,fastway work more efficently in NZ....Dont use DHL for shipment
20 days and counting.
I have been waiting for 20 days for my parcel from South Africa to New Zealand. And still no parcel. I keep getting text messages that say "forwarded for delivery" but no delivery date. Tomorrow it will be a week later than the first estimated delivery date. We were willing to pay the large amount of money this shipment has cost us because we thought we will receive excellent service. Sad to say we were mistaken.
My favourite courier company
I've had nothing but great experiences with DHL. Super fast delivery and detailed tracking system. I've even had deliveries on Sundays which is crazy! I'm happy when I see a company uses DHL because I know there will be great service. Don't usually write reviews but I can't praise them enough!
