CVHelpUK scam
This is a scam - avoid this unscrupulous company at all costs!! Like many people on here, I purchased a CV template from this organisation for €2.90 but buried in the detail of the purchase was a subscription service which deducted a further €23.90, from my account without either my knowledge or informed consent. As a consumer, I am entitled to clear and explicit information about the product I am purchasing and this appears deliberately absent from CVHelpUK’s communication, which is in breach of both Irish and European Consumer Rights Acts and I will be reporting them. I have tried contacting the company to cancel the subscription I never purchased in the first place and to request a refund but they keep sending me a link to an error page so I’ve had to block and report them to my bank. This is most unscrupulous trading you will find on the internet - their business model is designed to trick you - avoid it at all costs.

People who have been in the same situation have you got your money back ? Ridiculous company! Do not waste your money - you won’t get it back
I am incredibly frustrated with this service. I have been paying their £19.99 subscription fee every month since 2024, and late last year I emailed to cancel my subscription. They said they’ve cancelled it, yet continue to charge me monthly. I’ve since emailed them about this, and they continuously reply back asking for the same information about my account claiming they cannot locate me, and that my account is shown to have been down since 2025. I would simply just block them through my bank, but I would like a refund for all the money i did not agree to pay them over the past year. Complete and utter scam with an infuriatingly unhelpful support team

After my one month trial. You didn't even send me an email about my subscription. And deduct it to my account twice. I try to cancel my subscription yesterday why deduct it today. I'm using this cv anymore. I want a refund.

CV Help has been taking money from my…
CV Help has been taking money from my account since April 2024, charging me over £500 in total. Cancelling was almost impossible, and I only received a cancellation email a few days ago. Even now, I’m not sure the subscription has actually been cancelled.
I want a full refund for all charges taken over the past two years. I would not recommend this service.

I would like to recommend this company as decent and honest. Due to my mistake, some amount was written off from my card and the subscription was extended for a month. I wrote to the support of this company. They promised to find out everything and return my money. Literally the next day the money was returned to my account.

Reoccurring Charges, No communication. Overall shocking service.
I am yet to receive a response from this company. I tried communicating by email, call and chat feed but still no response. I made a one off payment to download my CV but this has now signed me up to a subscription I am unable to terminate. I have even contacted the bank to remove the recurring payment but yet again I’m still paying for this awful service. I look forward to receiving some form of communication.

Unable to cancel subscription
I'm having the same issues as others, I didn't know it was going to charge £17.90 after the £1.90 fee, no email to say anything of the sort after I paid the £1.90, only email i got was with my CV attached, very dodgy and when I email them to cancel via my account the say they cannot find my account details. I have therfore contacted my bank to block the payments. it says you can cancel through 'my account' which is untrue, there is no option to cancel only to upgrade. They're obviolusly making it very hard to cancel your subscription so they can charge for more monthly payments, do not use!

in the text under it says that it is a free cv template. This is where i think "oh i can finally download a free cv for my future jobs." However, i make my cv, then i am bombarded by a thing saying choose plan with a price. if you're going to say free cv then actually make it free not behind a plan that you have to pay in order to get a job.

I asked for help with a cv a few years ago and every month I get debited an amount and I wish it to stop, can’t cancel it on my online banking as it’s classed as a debit card transaction, but they are still getting money out of me even though I have had several new debit cards over a period of time

Terrible customer service
I have asked for my subscription to be refunded and terminated, but all I have received is request after request from the customer service team without any refund. Frankly this is appalling.

Don’t ever use their £1 samples because…
Don’t ever use their £1 samples because they use your details and charge you a £17.90 subscription every month without your permission and then pretend they can’t find your details and ask for the same details repeatedly including most of your credit card number and any other email addresses you have even if not associated. So lucky I have credit card protection so be super careful. The payments weren’t even a full month apart so clearly a dodgy company
