We were founded in King’s Cross, London, in 2013. We make men's and women's prescription spectacles and sunglasses. Each of our frames is handmade the traditional way, going through 50 stages of production before they are ready to adorn your face. Our London workshops also offer full eye exams.

Fantastic service
Great on line simulator so you can really see what they look like on you. Ordered Thursday 4pm, delivered Saturday 1pm. Lovely glasses. Can’t fault them.
This time i was finally ready to get a…
This time i was finally ready to get a proper Pair of glasses, browsing online and looking for a particular frame pattern, i came across Cubitts. Then, made my way to the Soho store where i liked the barlow frame. Still not being sure about the colour choice, i went to Covent Garden store as the other shade was not in stock.
Staff was being very helpful and then booked in my eye test with the soho store. I was recommended a progressive lens. Overall, the pair of choice was too expensive for my capacity, still it being my first non reader which i used in the past i decided to purchase and place the order. I was very excited as of it was a new toy for me.
I picked them up from the Soho store within a week. On wearing them, i felt as if they were slightly not straight on face but the lady at the store mentioned they seem aright and if i have further issues i can come back to the store within 30 days.
I've used them often since but they don't close flush. Not like the one i saw on the display shelf. One side seems off, but maybe, they have to be like that I'm not sure. Never used expensive glasses.
Overall they are good and useful. Maybe with progressive lens it is suppose to be the way it is. I'm too conscious to go to the store again and ask, so I'll wait till something else comes up or the year to finish when they service it.

Very impressed. Bought a pair of sunglasses online. Delivered promptly. The inboxing experience is excellent - very classy. Super plesed with my glasses. My third pair pf Cubbits glasses.

Many thanks to the patient staff at the Notting Hill branch who went out of their way to complete my prescription. Love the Agar frames and progressive lenses and I am very happy with my purchase and the service provided.
Amazing experience
I wanted to write this because i had the most amazing experience at the store in spitalfields. Jon was fantasic i collected my glasses and Jon ajusted them and fit perfectly. He and his team have been first class. For anyone that has not visited the store please go and see for yourself what Lovely glasses and service. You will definitely not be disappointed. Absolutely superb service and value!
Ordered my glasses online, and I’d made a mistake with my order that was picked up by the team at Cubitts, and Bruna in customer service was excellent and sorted everything out without any fuss.
Order arrived on time and beautifully packaged and presented.
The glasses themselves are superb exactly what I wanted, fit really well, and superb quality.
Have visited the Covent Garden store so I knew what I wanted. My only request would be for Cubitts to have a store in Birmingham.

I had the absolutely best experience at the store in SoHo NYC. I'm so horrible with names but the associate who helped me (she had pink hair and I believe was from your teams in the UK) was beyond great. She was patient and knowledgeable and just lovely to chat with. I could have stayed and chatted the entire afternoon. Her colleague (also from UK) was also fantastic, so funny and light-hearted. I've been a customer with Cubitts since approx 2016, having started shopping at the Carnaby location. I've only had great experiences with your brand, and today was probably the best yet. I'm so happy you're establishing a presence here in the United States.

Just received my sunglasses and I am over the moon with the them. They exude quality and after the fantastic bespoke team helped me out they fit perfectly. Would highly recommend.
The worst customer service I have ever…
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ordered my glasses on 10th December in the store and I was told 10 days for the delivery time. I have been waiting in for the delivery and been told the courier will come one day to the next and then nothing. I still have not received my glasses. I cannot believe the lack of customer service and inconvenience this has caused.
Best optician boutique ever!
Best optician’s I have ever had the pleasure of being a customer in at the Cambridge store.
The staff on both occasions went above and beyond - truly exceptional.
The glasses themselves are as high quality as the service with a bespoke feel about them!
Shall be returning as a regular now and also recommending to others.

Had a great experience in Covent Garden store, the eye test with Andrea was amazing and the best I've had. Love the range of frames and turn around times very quick.

The range is brilliant and the price just right. I moved from C&G some time back and the Cubitts range and value is just right. I have never been to a store … everything fine online and in great time. If something goes a bit wrong they correct it immediately. Great products, great service… just great.
Sent glasses to them for lens…
Sent glasses to them for lens replacement. They were sent via royal mail on a Tuesday, by the following Friday i.e. 10 days after sending them, they were still not ready to be shipped. I spoke to customer services as they hadn’t responded to my email and told them they needed to expedite this as I was travelling away for Christmas, they did actually do this by late Friday afternoon following several phone calls so I got them on the weekend. Had I not called they would have sent them back to me on Monday so I would have got them almost 14 days after sending them which is just unacceptable. It should not take this long. The other issue was how they were sent back to me. I originally sent them in a cardboard box to protect them because they were in a felt case which is all I had, they were however sent back to me in a very thin cardboard box which was completely squashed inside a “jiffy bag”. It’s a wonder how my glasses didn’t get damaged by doing that, I also witnessed the delivery driver slam the parcel onto a glass table in our communal hallway. They should’ve been sent in a cardboard box +/- labelled as fragile. This was not the service I expected from this company. I also agree with other commenters regarding lens quality being poor, my original lenses got scratched straightaway, I never had this issue before with previous glasses from other companies, so I will see how long the new lenses last.

Disappointment experience with Cubitts..
I ordered a pair of sunglasses on 1st December, expecting to collect them on 11th December. However, when I checked my email confirmation, I realized the order was incorrect. I had specifically ordered the large size in-store, but the confirmation showed the medium size. I clearly remember the staff suggesting I try the medium size, but I preferred the large, so they told me they would order it as the large was out of stock.
I immediately called the shop the same day to notify them of the mistake, and a colleague assured me they would take care of it, though I never received any confirmation. When I visited the shop on 11th December to follow up, I found that nothing had been done. They had still ordered the medium size, and no progress had been made on my order. I was told they would need to reorder the large size and redo the measurements. I felt as though I was being blamed for the miscommunication.
I had planned to take the sunglasses on holiday on 16th December, but now the earliest collection date is 21st December. This delay is extremely frustrating, especially considering the price I paid.
I was offered a 10% discount and an apology for the "miscommunication." Given the premium cost of the glasses and the inconvenience caused, I expected a more proactive and thoughtful solution.
I’m still left worrying whether the glasses I will receive on 21st December will meet my expectations. I hope Cubitts will take this feedback seriously and improve its customer service in the future.

great eye test optician
I had three eye tests recently, and I can safetly say Cubitts was the most thorough and investigative into my condition. The optician really explained in great detail my options & the routes I should take in future. I felt very relieved and taken care of. They also make the coolest frames
Excellent quality and customer service
Little story, on my way to work a few days ago my sunglasses (in its metal case) fell out of my bag and was run over by a car. The sunglasses came out of the case but, amazingly, the case and sunglasses were both perfectly fine.
Plus, I went to my local Cubitts a few months ago as a screw came loose. They replaced the screw, tightened it, and gave me a new bottle of cleaning spray all completely free :)

Good morning Cubitts, I wanted to write to you regarding a recent visit to your Borough Market store on Saturday this weekend. I have been a customer with you for a few years now and have had tests and ordered glasses with you too. I have always visited the Borough market shop although my husband has visited and ordered from other stores in London. I don't live in London or the UK actually but come back to this store each time for tests and new glasses as they are really good and have been every single time I have called in for help, advice or new glasses. However, I wanted to write regarding my last visit on Saturday as I was given the most exceptional service by Sue (apologies if that isn't spelt correctly) and I think people should be recognised when they work as she did. I arrived late to the store around 5.45pm and Sue took so much time to work with me to find new frames. Her knowledge, honesty, care and enthusiasm is simply outstanding. She helped me choose a colour and frame that I would never of chosen and quite possibly wouldn't have bought anything at all as I just couldn't get it quite right on my own. She took so much time with the fitting and the ideas, it was exceptional. Right at the end of our conversation I also had the idea of changing my sunglasses too, but thought it was too late as the shop needed to close. Again, nothing was too much trouble for her and again she took so much time in helping me find the perfect pair, this woman is amazing at what she does !! We then had a query over the prescription but she said that she would contact Mehdii (another fabulous member of staff ) on Sunday to discuss, which she duly did. I received an email to confirm what we could do next and now my order is organised and on its way. This is truly great service. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with this store, these members of staff but above all Sue ! I really hope that my email is taken note of and she gets the recognition she deserves. I will keep coming back, I get so many compliments and questions about my glasses both here and in the Uk and I always direct them to Cubitts but more over Borough Market store, bravo to the whole team. But Sue ROCKS !! I wish you all a lovely day and look forward to wearing my new glasses with pride and being back in the store in the spring.

The staff at Cubitts Hampstead are superb! Led by their manager Tessie ( who leads by example) the customer experiences a calm professional intelligent approach. Unlike some eyewear companies there is no overselling. My experience ( and I have purchased a few pairs of glasses here) is one of trust. My eye tests have been careful and thorough ( the best that I have ever had!). My glasses are comfortable and stylish.I’m thrilled! Nothing is too much trouble. Tessie has just fitted my new glasses with great care and attention. I can’t thank you all enough. You give totally the best optical experience in London. Thank you.Sara
Eye test nice and relaxed but not cheap
I visited Cubitts for an eye test which involved paying extra for an OCT scan. Compared to the opticians I normally visit the tests were at a relaxed pace as the whole procedure took about an hour. The consultation included any observations found on the OCT scan of my eyes which revealed a problem or two. The optometrist has asked me to follow up a problem which could be a family related condition by consulting my sister and reporting back to the optometrist for a possible referral. Would I receive this attention from other places ? I am not sure. The price for everything was £65 which is more than most opticians charge but I would say is worth it because of the slightly longer time taken for all the tests. I know Cubitts used to offer a discount on their frames if you visited them for an eye test. It would be nice to bring that back of course.
