Haplogroups represent specific direct ancestral lines. A person can inherit ancestry from someone through different branches of their family tree while their own Y-DNA haplogroup follows only their direct paternal line.
Additionally, historical haplogroup assignments can change as new DNA evidence and research become available. An ancestry connection to a historical figure does not necessarily mean that the individual is a direct paternal-line descendant of that person.

CRI genetics is a company that…
CRI genetics is a company that advertises that you will receive personal information derived from your DNA testing. You send 2 swabs of your DNA and what is advertised is that you will receive all types of information. The cost is approximately $150. For this, you get no information. All of the reports are locked and you have to pay more money to see any results. It is a bait and switch. All of the reports are locked. I sent an email with this complaint. I was told that I could buy another pkg for $ 79 for more information.
Needless to say, I do not recommend this company. You do not get what is advertised.

I guarantee if I get this test done somewhere else it'll show this test is completely wrong

They put Colombian and I know for a fact that that's not true. My mother's family and my father's family hate each other enough to where I know they're not going to lie for each other about what they are.

Please note that our ancestry test is based on genetics rather than genealogy. Your results reflect how your DNA compares with populations in our reference database and may not display the exact countries or ethnicities found in your family tree.
For example, Puerto Rican or Cuban ancestry may not appear under those exact labels. Similarly, a Colombian result does not necessarily mean you have a Colombian ancestor; it means portions of your DNA may be genetically similar to our Colombian reference population due to shared genetic history and population migration.

since my grandparents, we had a costume to have our genealogic tree actualized. Bolivia is not Peru; it's close but not the same, so having the results of our analysis as coming in a big percentage from Peru, we felt like you eliminated the place where all our ancestors were born. Your genetic results are skewed
Your genetic results are skewed. I refuse to pay any more money for your results. When i purchased your supposed plan of genetics that had results showing generationally African, but you had more detail. What happened? What guarantee can you offer that if i pay more that what i pay for will remain? Your results show overwhelmingly Africa. Not a problem there, but you earlier showed Spanish and German at 7% for each. I can’t find that any longer. Now your results are just vague with Iberian here at 0.60% or so and nw European at 0 such and so percentage. I was doing research asking how Africans ended up in the German Empire. That research impetus was spurred by results that you just erased. German is still there with no information as it location in Germany that it once had. Your research results are skewed and bogus, and even when i look over generations there is no European or other group contact result. It is just African. How are you going to sell a product that shows results you erase the specificity of one group by promoting another group whose specificity is overwhelmingly supported? This is a point of contention related to trust. I do not trust your product or research results, and i will probably close your website never to visit your website again. This is a trend in the genetics industry that i see. The only genetics company i trust is Ancestry.com. At least their genetics results are comprehensive and not wildly different from the first genetics test. I do not trust you or myheritage.

Not the information I've been looking for at all my Grandmother was adopted so not much information on her but my grandfather was native American on Mom's side and Scottish and German on my Dad's didn't give much info on the Scottish side or the Native American side or even where my Mom's mother may have been from.
