their subscription service is a complete scam, my daughter and I have been trying to cancel for months as we no longer live in Lodo but they basically make it impossible.

We had taken our small yorkshire terrier dog to Creature Comforts Barnet on the recommendation of google reviews. We registered five dogs with them and attended two appointments for our little ones paw that she hurt playing with a string and got caught up in it.

Our normal vet was on holiday in Israel due to the war there and so we wanted required a vet opinion.

On the second visit and before our dogs paw had completely healed we were already pestered with a scale and polish to the amount of £1400. We paid there $500 deposit and after returning home and thinking about it, we got a second opinion and were offered half the price for this , and also were concerned that this procedure was scheduled "before" our dog's paw had completey healed.
The Vet concerned did not properly examine are dogs mouth either, simply lifted her upper lip and had a look, our dogs teet were white and even. Anyway , trying to get our deposit back , caused us to have an aggressive staff member there stating that it would be up to the practice manager about our refund.

For Barnet Creature Comforts information, our dog's name is MISTY, so they cannot deny she was treated there as well as our other Yorkshire terrier ANGEL she was also treated with milbemax without even checking her heart or asking if she was allergic to that particular worming pill.

Long story short - best to stick to small truly independent Vets, not a chain of vets that run their business on a purely profit margin basis. Thanks anyway will be sticking with our normal small practice Vet.

We have been with Creature Comforts since they first opened. All good until you say "No" to more expenses. Here is my story: street dog that was picked up in Mexico City who is 9 years old now. She has stomach issues (special diet and all), dental issues (which were cleaned by Creature Comforts) and now an important leg infection. She was on antibiotics for 10 days (as I refused to pay 1,000 GBP for an exploration analysis). Went to see the Vet a few times to be told yesterday that the leg is now bleeding elsewhere and they want more money to do another incision in the leg. The agreement was to go ahead with the incision and if you don't find the piece of glass or grass seed, we will unfortunately euthanize the dog. Crying while I am signing the paper work, whispering words of encouragement to my dog. Phone rang (not from the Vet as she was running behind with her consultations) to be told they could NOT find anything. My response was: put her to sleep. This unknown caller went on to say "I disagree and we could take ownership of MY dog and they will re-home her as she is a healthy dog". It appears it is against their professional code of ethics to euthanize a dog if there is a medical and treatable solution. More expenses! Was the exploratory incision required? Today, my dog's leg is bleeding and she is suffering. More antibiotics and of course, a very healthy invoice. I picked up my dog and I am doing my very best for her (as I have been doing for the last 9 years). I now refuse to deal with this female Vet, I will only deal with the "Boss". What a load of malarkey! Rest assured that I am not done with them.

Worst experience with my pets after going to this practice for 5+ yrs see their reviews even from former employees be cautious of signing anything before knowing what the charges will be the office manager will drop you as a client no matter how much you have spent with the practice off of one persons word or interpretation.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
This practice is nothing but a money spinner. After a couple of years of calls, texts and emails I eventually acquiesced and signed up for their monthly subscription even though I was quite happy with my existing vet. This is a well planned strategy of free appointments to get you through their doors as often as possible, where they will proceed to advise unnecessary procedures at a high cost. Check other reviews. They immediately load appointments you don't request, which in retrospect you realise is an insurance policy should you want to exit your subscription as you will have to pay the cost of the expensive appointments you never requested. Due to their advise, I arrived with a healthy dog and left with an unhealthy one, whilst they continue to charge me monthly and ignore my emails. Sadly all focus is on branding and marketing as opposed to the service they provide.

This company is backed by a millionaire who said he couldn't find a vet during Covid lockdown.
He should have visited Medivet. they're always open and a competitor.
We initially found Creature Comfort Barnet and their £20 offer per month per pet attractive and signed up our five pets.
Our vet got caught up in Israel during the war there and we needed a Vet opinion about one of our pets.
They did not examine the pet but only looked at it cursorily, wasn't impressed at all. On the second visit they did same with teeth, only lifting the upper lip without even looking inside the mouth and recommended a scale and polish for $1400.
We paid the £500 deposit, and it was booked for the next week. But after thinking about it at home, we realised we hadn't received the all clear about her paw, and didn't want her put under before that healed also we called our current Vet and they quoted half the price.
We asked for a refund and to wait until our pet healed to think it over some more. Immediately had trouble getting the refund and the staff member in question was rude and arrogant about it said if we didn't like it to take our pets elsewhere.
When we lodged a formal complaint the company backed their staff member (as they always do) and refused to treat our pets at all in future. They have no complaints procedure and emails and phone calls to speak to a manager are not returned, same applies when we contacted the owners direct.

Additionally, they promote themselves as a new kind of vet inclusive of CHAT online. That chat does not work, we tried it numerous times. However, contact is immediate when appointments are due and or bill payment is due.

Not impressed at all about this Vet, they offer a lot of treats and tea and coffee, to entice you to sign up to their monthly plan.

You're better off sticking with a small truly indepdent Vet, not a block chain of Vets of which we already have enough here in the U.K.

Hello Creature Comforts. This is a follow up review, following my first review of Creature Comforts, Muswell Hill. I am happy to feedback positive experiences at Muswell Hill. Alba is amazing. I have requested Alba as Shadow's Vet. She is amazing with Shadow and more importantly, I feel she genuinely cares about Shadow and his well being and not just interested in off selling. I am happy and comfortable when Shadow sees Alba. She is thorough and explains everything clearly. Also the ladies at the reception/desk are always welcoming. They call you when medication/flea treatment is due and occasionally, they call to ask how Shadow is, which is very nice. I appreciate that. So after my initial experience, I am happy to say I feel confident with Creature Comforts in Muswell Hill and I appreciate all the love and support shown to Shadow when he needed it. Thank you.

Friendly, kind, professional and honest. I have 2 dogs cared for by the outstanding team at CC in St Johns Wood.
If the NHS were run by this practice it would be an incredible place with no complaints and amazing level of care. Lucky animals.

Creature cash machine or Profitable Paws, profiteering from pets. This is why legislation is coming in to cap pet treatment charges. excessively expensive Prescription charges for bare minimum treatment dose. Charge £66 for 2 items compared to £12 for a subscription order online delivered. I advised at the time the charge was excessive and never been charged this rate for only 5 days antibiotics and pain relief - bog standard pet medicine.

Creature cashmachine charges 5.5x the retail subscription price! There is no justification for this excessive level of capitalism and proceeding - labels and packaging - what a joke! The company is anti pet welfare making pet care inaccessible for basic pet welfare. Shameless!

No confusion on motives, after this experience I am confident sure pet welfare is secondary after the company’s profit motive.

Staff were in readily available at Balham waiting to stick names on prescriptions and hand out frivolous goodie bags to distract you from processing extortionate charges. Treatment rooms were clean, treatment with care. dogs seem to be their main focus.

WOW!!! What a difference, first time visit and we are amazed by how great this Vet Practice is, the reception was so welcoming and helpful and the Vet, Grace, was so thorough and careful with our dog. The consultation was so good we signed up for the annual plan and Ted (our Cockapoo) is looking forward to his follow up visit!

A lovely calming environment for both pet/owner. The staff are friendly/welcoming, and my vet - Anderson was very thorough and caring towards Snowy - West Highland Terrier. I'm very impressed with the service provided, and it's great knowing that I can go to one of their other clinics if we're out of of town and Snowy is unwell. Brilliant.

I have reported this vet practice to the Royal Veterinary society. I asked the business multiple times to advise why they had handed out monthly treatments for my dogs without recording the weights of the dogs first. It ultimately depends on the weight of the animal for the corresponding and appropriate treatment. Furthermore I was told that one of my dogs may have a possible heart murmur and this was not followed up needless to say there were deep restless and sleepless nights until the vet hospital gave the dog the thumbs up.

Creature comforts in Mill Hill are absolutely brilliant. They saved my cats life and I’m so thankful to the amazing team. For looking after my Molly today. Service was amazing. Thank you all again.

I feel sorry to give Creature Comforts in Muswell Hill a two star review because our vet, at that practice Alba, was certainly five star. However, the whole experience outside her surgery, resembled a shake down in a Moroccan souk. It was all about the money. Reluctantly, I was persuaded to sign up to a £20 a month pet plan. When several months and several £20 payments later, I asked to cancel
my subscription I was told I could not, despite having moved to
the other side of London. As a loving dog owner and a pensioner, I am astonished that Creature Comforts in Muswell Hill seem determined to make me pay for a service they know I cannot use.

Creature Comforts in Balham is full of fantastic, enthusiastic staff who genuinely care about our puppy. He has such a positive experience, each and every time he goes there. They are happy to provide materials to help his development and make sure he's the best puppy he could be, and because of the subscription, it's all included. The app booking system is also super easy for us to book through, making it seamless each time we need to visit.

I've been going to the SJW Creature Comforts since soon after it opened. My two pugs can't get enough of it as all the vets are fabulous and they get treats and cuddles galore. Last week my 1 year old had a lap spay with Rebecca and the recovery has been miraculous. You wouldn't have known she'd had anything done by the next day. I'm so grateful to them. The front of house staff are also lovely.

Had a wonderful experience at the Mill Hill clinic, My staffie, Ernie, thoroughly enjoyed himself. Loved the treats & goody bag, great staff and service. Beth the vet is also fantastic and sympathetic to Ernie's needs. Highly recommed.

I went to the Barnet practice with my elderly dog Rosie who had a lump that needed testing/removing and teeth removed. Barry the vet was so professional and I felt confident she was in the very best hands. The staff were friendly, welcoming and so helpful, I do not hesitate to recommend the practice.
