Very poor customer service
I would have liked to get more notice that the account was being suspended - one email that I missed as I was on holiday and not checking emails. when I contacted you there was no help just that I had to get a new quote - no price match to my old policy and no negotiating - I felt like there was absolutely NO customer service, empathy or care
I have gone with another insurer. It’s cheaper and included river rescue so I won’t be back to you
Very upset with the way I was dealt with. And will share this around the boating community

I can confirm that you initially sent us an email on the 08/09/2025 and we responded the same day to inform you that the policy had been cancelled due to non-payment.
You were informed via email that whenever a payment fails, for the 7 days following the failed payment we will attempt to recollect it and we also send out an email to notify you of this but I do understand that you may of been on holiday during this period but this is not something we would of been aware of as a company.
As payment was still not successful after the 7 days, the policy was therefore cancelled which we informed you of and once this has been actioned, we cannot reinstate this so that is why there would have been no negotiating/price match as this is not possible for a new quote.
I do apologise that this has made you feel the way that you have but I am glad that you now have cover in place.

Saved over £300…
After being with our initial insurance company for three years thinking they were giving us best price we used craftinsure online quote enquiry and found the same cover for more than £300 less than our present provider.
Gave them a call and took five minutes to swap providers with no forced selling for other products.

I think the total amount of time I was on the phone was close to one hour . The waiting then getting the insurance was a long arduous process. The broker was not sure about a lot of items in the policy so had to keep checking with another broker .

The average hold time for a UK call centre is 40 minutes, the highest hold time that we have had is 20 minutes and there isn't much we can do when advisors are already on calls with customers but we are trying our best during this period.
I do apologise for the time it has taken when talking to us, our advisors do deal with more than 1 insurance brand so sometimes there may be things that they are unsure of and may need to request further assistance, Craft Insure is one of our newer brands that we have taken over so this will be a factor too.
Again, I do apologise for any inconvenience caused by this but I can see that the policy is now in place with the assistance of one of the team from the contact centre.

The whole process for applying for and getting insurance for my small canal boat was so simple couldn't believe I completed it when it ended! Their price was extremely competitive and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I never received a renewal notice for…
I never received a renewal notice for my policy, nor any communication about the move to the Ripe group. The terms of my insurance have substantially changed and without any notice of these I felt I had no option but to renew on the spot to ensure my yacht was covered. After being a customer for twenty plus years I feel a bit let down by the lack of comms.

When my boat insurance due.
When my boat insurance was due Craftinsure notified me with a quotation. I got 2 other quotes 1 was a third less and the other 50% more. The expensive one came back with a matching quote but Craftinsure gave a reduced rate taking 20% off. Although they did not meet the lowest price I decided to stay with them as they did try to compete without increasing the excess.
