Great networking opportunities

The platform includes a thriving community that supports each other and gives a launch pad into being a leader whose amount of years of experience in corporate roles can be put to use as an independent executive in fractional roles filling the gaps in governance or operations for small to medium Startups or scaleups. One year ago I could never have imagined myself in these roles. Connectd made it possible. Thank you Connectd.

I've been on the Connectd platform for a few years now and it is a really good platform for not only reaching out to startups but also the training. I first went with the NED/Advisory training on the academy platform, and this really helped me understand what is needed and what i need to do to up skill. Following the academy training, it helped me onboard to two startups and was able to put my newly learned skills to good use.

I then decided to undertake the fractional training on the academy platform as this is something i feel strongly about pivoting towards in my career. Again the training was brilliant, not over the top but right on point. Looking forward to using the skills i have gained to good use.

I would highly recommend using the Connectd platform if you are starting out your advisory/NED/fractional career. There are lots of startups on the platform but also lots of ways to interact with fellow people and attend events.

Very well structured training material with. Real life examples, exercised which makes us think and questions to help us apply what we have learnt.
This is a must have learning for anyone moving to advisory role or even just contemplating . This helps visualise and provide steps to move.

I keep getting contacted by people related to this company, asking me ask whether I am interested in board advisory, or non-executive roles.
They are all contacting me with the exact same message, and every time I have replied that I am not interested and they should remove me from their contact or marketing database.
Today was the 3rd or 4th time I have been contacted, and it is becoming so repetitive that it is starting to feel like I am being targeted by some sort of Pyramid scheme...

I got a lot of value from this course. It was well structured, at a good pace, and provides a good framework for those wanting to begin with a board advisory career.

Scheduled a meeting time, confirmed said time, and sat in a Google Meet waiting room for 15 minutes with nobody from Connectd joining. No message, email, etc. Then received a call from an Unknown number, being the Connectd representation I was supposed to speak with earlier. When I began telling them how poor my experience was, they responded with, "Sorry, who is this?" - ummm, you called me, so how do you not know who is on the other side of the line? Wreaks of a scam. Avoid at all costs.

Even after Connectd's message to my initial review, they have yet to contact me (and they have enough information to identify).

We found our board advisor Grant through Connectd.

Working with Grant has been transformative for Snippit Media. We began working together at a particular low point for Snippit, our Go-To-Market strategy had just failed, confidence was low and we had to rebuild our commercial model from the ground up.

Week by week working alongside Grant we have got there, our confidence has returned, our commercial model/GTM strategy is better than ever and throughout this process Grant has shown patience and emotional intelligence to keep our small team on track.

If you have a great product/service you can afford to be up front about fees. This approach is the usual flatter the individual with a wonderful message about your experience etc, then slowly reveal the entry costs. If you are the type of person that responds to flattery and does not mind shelling out for " training" etc, then go right ahead.

Great experience with Connectd’s T2P program: Well structured, high-quality network, and strong support from the team. A very effective way to connect with startups and build meaningful advisory relationships.

I was messaged by an agent on LinkedIn. The generic nature of the message immediately rang alarm bells, since it promised a lot and didn't seem tailored to my industry or role at all.

I delved a little deeper and it became clear the agent knew NOTHING about me. Not even my sector or current position. Suspect I was just one of hundreds that had been spammed that day.

Another reviewer on Google had warned that "accreditation" and membership would cost £4.5k for the first 2 years. I politely queried this with the agent and they blocked me.

Answers elsewhere say this fee structure is communicated clearly before any engagement, but this was not the case. No mention of any fees in 3+ messages. Seems this is little more than another scam.

I’m so tired of them targeting me to sign up! I say no every time but every few months another sales person reaches out…. A senior professional with 20 years experience would not pay to get a NED role at least I never have and utilise a great network to do this organically.

We’ve had an excellent experience with Connectd over the past year.

Very expensive, course was insultingly bad, poor comms, pushy sales, ignoring problems, pyramid scheme that feels like a scam. They treat their NEDs as a second class commodity and leave them entirely unsupported.

Site was unusable for months, and a firm refusal listen when I said I wanted to leave and be refunded.

Good experience so far! I just completed the Advisor training and am looking forward to my assignment. It's a good platform for networking and meeting with like-minded professionals.
