I ordered a ring from this company in France. There has been an issue with the timescale for delivery. I think the management of expectations needs work. What is good however is the product. I ordered a silver payment ring. I ordered it from this company as Curve is often the only option for signing up to other people's wearables, however Revolut VISA, also works with this ring. Anyway, it arrived, installing a card is fairly simple but took a few goes. Since installing I've used it successfully at Carrefour, Intermarche, Gamme Vert, Bricomarche, Lidl and a Pharmacy in France, so far so good. My intention is to use it for public transport where I'd rather not take out my phone.

Einen CNICK-Smartring gekauft, der sich als defekt herausstellte. Das Produkt wurde aus Georgien geliefert. Nachdem ich den Defekt gemeldet hatte, bestätigte CNICK mir am 29. August 2025 schriftlich, dass die Rücksendekosten vollständig erstattet würden, sobald ich den Beleg einreiche.
Zurückschicken musste ich den Ring jedoch nicht an eine EU-Adresse, sondern an ihr Servicezentrum im Vereinigten Königreich – also außerhalb der EU – über die Deutsche Post/DHL. Die Kosten betrugen 29,99 €. Ich habe den Nachweis eingereicht und den Ring fristgerecht zurückgesendet. Zwar erhielt ich über PayPal den Kaufpreis zurück, doch CNICK verweigerte anschließend die Erstattung der Rücksendekosten. Die Begründung: „technische Einschränkungen“ und die angebliche Unmöglichkeit, mehr als den ursprünglichen Kaufpreis zu erstatten. Das ist irreführend und schlicht falsch – eine separate Zahlung wäre problemlos möglich gewesen.
Noch schwerer wiegt: CNICKs Verhalten verstößt gegen das europäische Verbraucherrecht (Richtlinie 2019/771/EU, Artikel 14), das klar festlegt, dass der Verkäufer bei defekten Waren auch die Rücksendekosten zu tragen hat. Statt Verantwortung zu übernehmen, schob CNICK die Last auf den Kunden ab, brach sein schriftliches Versprechen und ignorierte seine gesetzlichen Pflichten.

Ein Unternehmen, das Versprechen bricht, seine Kunden täuscht und geltendes Recht ignoriert, ist nicht vertrauenswürdig. Mein Rat: Meiden Sie CNICK konsequent.

Wooden one fell to pieces with 8 weeks. They would not replace under warranty even though I insisted I'd used in fully normal day wear/use. Best I got was to pay them £35 for them to send me an enamel one as they admitted this was "more robust". Strange admission after warranty refusal.
Enamel fell to bits after 6 months. Again, refused under warranty. They asked for £20 to replace. Odd and unethical understanding of how a warranty works when the item disintegrates in normal use!
I have refused. Fed up. I will endeavour to warn others of the risk of purchasing a product falsely advertised on their website (as robust) with zero warranty confidence.

The ring is great; however, it failed after 8 months. I got in touch with support. To be honest, I did not have much faith in finding a resolution. They immediately set up a replacement and received it within 3 days of raising the issue.

Ich habe seit fünf Jahren einen Holzring von CNICK, er funktioniert noch immer tadellos. Der einzige Grund, warum ich einen neuen, diesmal aus Titan bestellt habe, der Holzring passt nicht mehr und ich wollte auch die zweite Funktion des Ringes haben.
Super Backup für den Tesla und als Zahlmöglichkeit.

Many nice designs. Free ring sizer shipped first (if you require). Installation easy, works with Revolut (Ireland) Visa debit without Curve. I have tried different payment terminals and it works well. Not for larger amounts, security reasons. Handy for small shopping and payments. Communication and customer support is great. Easy to order and setup. Can recommend.

Order in July still no Ring? Paid in July, got a tracking number with no info. After more than a month still no ring – only excuses. I got it after more than 30 days Works great

The CNICK ring is superb , works really well , easy to set up with the app , convenient, light and stylish . It stopped working after about 7 months , but I’d been wearing it constantly all that time & never taken it off , so that probably contributed to it failing. I contacted CNICK , sent it back and have had a replacement. Nutsa in customer services was really helpful and communication was always prompt and pleasant. I can only talk about my experience, but I recommend the ring to all my friends . It is also a conversation starter in shops and pubs , as people are amazed you are paying with a ring ! Thanks CNICK , great product.

Very nice product. Sizing system is easy and worked well. App is easy to use. Ring looks very good. It works well, only occasional problems but these are due to the card reader rather than the ring. I use it daily on the Tube, on buses, in stores.

I start with saying I returned the first ring as I couldn’t get it working. They contacted me within 48 hours to apologise and as if I’d try it again. It works fantastically and I have never had a company take so much care to resolve, what turned out to be a minor issue. I have recommended to all my friends.

my ring is incredible!! i bought it as my wedding ring last year cuz i wanted my ring to be my tesla key. works amazing! my first ring broke after a few months but i was quickly sent a replacement by their amazing customer service :) the new ring is actually an even better design and i love it! much love!

Had my original ring last year but unfortunately it stopped working. I was swiftly sent a replacement but could not get it to work. Nutsa in customer service was a godsend, emails backwards and forwards and helpful every step of the way. The ring is a great piece of technology and so glad I persevered with it because I was starting to lose faith. Patience paid off in the end and all sorted now.

Der Ring ist hochwertig gearbeitet und funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Einrichtung ist sehr einfach.
Ich benutze Bezahlringe seit einem Jahr und zahle nur mit diesen. Curve Card benutze ich weil damit können alle Banken angebunden werden, natürlich kostenfrei.

I initially bought the black ceramic Gen 2 Cnick ring, but exchanged it for a titanium one after a month as the outer layer of the ring had started peeling. The titanium one seems a little more hard-wearing.

Using the size guide means you get a perfect fit, and I've found the technology in both rings to be reliable, both with contactless payments and opening / starting my car.

Customer service were initially not great when I contacted them about the peeling ceramic ring, but after some back and forth, offered a resolution I was happy with.

It's good when it works but this is about 10% of the time at best so don't rely on it for anything other than looks. I reached out to customer service for some help/advice but because I bought it from eBay they weren't interested. It's still their product but asking eBay for my money back was their only suggestion.

I have been using the ring for 2 weeks and it is absolutely great. It works 100%. Everything needed to activate the ring is perfectly described by the manufacturer on the website. Activating the ring is without any problems. My only complaint is with the carrier. It took almost a month to deliver my ring! During this time, I communicated with support several times, which I would like to commend for the perfect and fast communication.

So received the ring, it is quite a process to set ot up ad you need to download curve wallet and fidesmo apps to get everything working. Then you had better have a compatible card. Anyway, once youve done the setup, you go to pay with the ring and I would say it only works about 70% of the time. When it doesnt work its really quite embarrasing and then you have get your phone or card out to pay. I love it when it works but its frustrating that it is not 100% reliable. I dont know if this due to the NFC in the ring or the versions of the contactless readers when trying to pay. I will persist using the ring in the hope that it becomes more usable. For example, it has always worked at my local supermarket for months but then today, it decided not to work. It will probably work next week but when it fails you had better have alternative payment to hand. Its frustrating as I had hoped to use this without needing to take my phone or wallet with me on a night out but this inconsistency means I have no choice but to take an alternative method of payment, just in case the ring payment fails. Agghhhhh, but i still love it and I would still buy it again, even with these frustrations.
