This rental agency in London is the worst. I've repeatedly asked them to fix my shower plumbing because water is leaking everywhere due to the aging of the house. Despite multiple calls, they only sent a contractor who did nothing but take a look and then charged me £100. It's ridiculous! I've had many horrible experiences with Cityroom. I strongly advise against renting with them if you care about your well-being.

Scam!!! Don't put a penny in this agency, they gonna steal your money!!!!

This is the worst renting company in London. I rented a room in 2022, and it was the worst experience ever. Since then, I have been continuously receiving emails from them despite repeatedly requesting to have my email removed from their database

If we could give zero stars that would be our first choice !!! Please avoid this agency at all cost. My niece spent 6 months in a house shared with 5 boys when she was reassured there were also girls renting in the property, the property was cleaned once a month with hardly anyone showing up when there was an issue; but unfortunately that’s not the main reason for this review … two days before checking out the property and while she was on a short trip to Edinburgh all her belongings were removed from her room without her authorisation, they were taken to the main office in White City and when she went to collect she found all her belongings were messed up in the bag and her PC and rings removed from the bag.. actually I should say STOLEN from her bag. Nobody helped a nobody knew the person who did the checkout or simply they didn’t tell us. Let’s hope the police can do something about it !!!

Reposting this review because apparently naming the person who scammed you is against the rules. As ridiculous as that is, we will call him "L" in this review but everyone working there is an L anyway.

Avoid at all costs!

Friends of mine went through a horrible experience with them very recently and I just wanted to share my experience back in late 2019. Apparently they havent changed much in the last 4 years.
Anyhow, my agent L assured me I had to pay 250 quid to lock in a room I had liked, so we can go and see it. Lo and behold, the time comes and he doesnt show up for the viewing. The other tenant lets me in but the room in question is locked. L knew I was on a tight schedule and abused it. I had 2 more days left in London and they stalled all communication after the no-show. I requested a refund and they refused. Of course, being a foreigner and new to London at the time, litigation wasn't an option so I decided to accept my losses and count my blessings.

TLDR
The agency is predatory and will not act in your interest, especially if they sense that you are new/inexperienced.
Serves me right for paying without signing anything in advance.

If anyone ever decides to start a group litigation agains them, feel free to contact me. I have the payment and all communication with them saved, including voice messages and WhatsApp chats, which L promptly deleted after scamming me.

After we left the room, it took ages to get the money of the deposit back! Also they do everything to hold something. We gave the keys as instructed and Gorka told us they never received it. We called the local authorities to help us but nothing could have been done because the CCTVS were private. They wanted to charge us 180£ but we gave the keys! At the end we had to deal half and half so still they took something. I would suggest you to take a proof of anything, any time you do something with them. Gorka dealt with the situation really bad, never giving proper explanation and said he checked CCTVs but he said we were never there!

NEVER EVER EVER GO WITH THEM, THEY ARE FRAUDS AND THEY WILL EAT ALL YOUR MONEY. ‘SCAMMERS’

if you are thinking of going with city rooms you are going to make your biggest mistake. They will charge you so high bills and their rooms are waste, cracked, full of fungus, and cheap quality materials. Their agents are liars and they each person is a liar, they will make sweet talk to make you fall into their trap. This is a fraud company and they will charge you for cleaning and everything you will get replaced. They will not tell you the price before but when you leave they will send you a bill for hundreds of pounds. I suggest that you will get better rooms for the same price so if you read this full review NEVER EVER DO THIS BIG MISTAKE TO TAKE A ROOM FROM THEM AND DO NOT BELEIVE THEM EVEN IF THEY SAY PEOPLE WRITE GOOD AND BAD REVIEWS. THEY ARE LIARS AND THEY WILL STEAL ALL YOUR MONEY.

The company have not only, consistently failed to fix the broken boiler, a ceiling that leaks in heavy rain fall, lighting fixtures that burned through the ceiling/ floor of a bedroom above and several faulty fire alarms, they have now resorted to actively ignoring reports, emails and calls addressing these issues.

A company that fundamentally only cares for receiving rent on time and not for the safety and wellbeing of its tenants. Avoid at all costs.

Worst letting agents ever. They are simply looting their customers. CityRooms has proven to be an absolute nightmare. Their letting services are a masterclass in incompetence. The exorbitant bills they slapped us with were only surpassed by their creativity in finding unnecessary deductions from our final deposit money. It has left us frustrated and financially strained. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this letting agent at all costs.

Pablo is a really professional agent and he introduced me to really nice rooms which are the same as shown in the pictures. And I got the way to refund my money when something unpredictable happened. I really appreciate the help of City rooms.

Giuseppe, the agent I dealt with was really cooperative. He showed me a great room to my liking and I was going to move in as well as it had everything I wanted. I paid the weekly holding deposit as well. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances, I had to leave the UK and I cancelled my booking. I emailed City Rooms to get my holding deposit back and Giovanni, the manager responded quickly that it will be refunded to me in five working days. I was satisfied with the service they provided and I'm glad that they value not just customers but potential customers who change their minds. I'm really glad they operate with such a mindset and I will definitely try them again.

We love CityRooms as a letting agency. We have been their customers before, and everytime they make sure to provide good customer service. Recently, we got the opportunity go be in touch with CityRooms again and Daria (a letting agent) was really helpful and welcoming. She was very prompt on replying to us if we had any queries. Unfortunately, after paying the holding deposit, due to some unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel the booking but Daria assured us, that we will get the refund. Just like her, CityRoom’s cancellation team was very prompt in acknowleding my problem and they initiated the refund too. I am very much thankful to Daria and the entire CityRoom’s team. Will definitely go back to them if the circumstances permit.

Our boiler is leaking, and was supposed to be fixed weeks ago. No-one has come, and we have to put a pan under it to catch the drips.

My bedroom door lock is stuck and I cannot open it - to get to the kitchen or bathroom, I have to leave via the garden gate and walk along the public road, coming in via the front door. This was supposed to be resolved within a week, and hasn't been.

The company is providing no support- it's an absolute disgrace, for a property for which we're paying a fortune in rent.

Great customer service, quick responses and process of referencing

Gotta say, I've been pretty impressed with Cityrooms. Pavlo was extremely helpful, even though he was actually on annual leave the week I was getting the documents sorted he still replied to help me! Admin was as also pretty efficient. Moving is always a hassle but they made it as painless as it can be so I would recommend them

Super professional and responsive help by my agent Nico. I was in need of accommodation on very short notice as an international in London and Nico was able to arrange a letting contract in a few hours. In addition, he helped me through every step of the process over the course of several hours - I would highly recommend having Nico as an agent!

When I had to move out on short notice my letting manager, Giovanni, was easily accessible to help me quickly and sorted the process out very fairly.

Can strongly recommend letting through City Rooms for quick and professional service and personally I'm looking to rent with City Rooms again for my next trip to London.

I haven't even rented the room to experience terrible service from the City Room agency. Reading about all of those horrible experiences people had with this company just now, I'm glad I haven't ended up renting.

I scheduled a viewing for one of their flats to find out that the agent named Dhillon was never about to show up. When I arrived at the location on our scheduled date, one of the tenants opened the door and didn't know what was happening. She didn't want to let me in because no one gave her a notice that the viewing will be held and the agent wasn't there. Obviously, it wasn't her fault and she tried to contact him with me, but he wasn't answering. After a while, he read my message that I'm waiting for him and responded that unfortunately, he 'couldn't find the right keys'. If I hadn't called him a bunch of times and sent messages, he would never reach out to me and I could stand there for hours. He proposed rescheduling for the next day (as I was still at the doors!!), but, as you probably already guessed, it didn't work out. He claimed that the tenant is working from home that day and wasn't picking up, but he'll let me know asap at what time to come to the viewing. After that, he ghosted me for days and when I finally asked what is happening, he kindly informed me that the room cannot be rented anymore because the tenant is renewing the contract. Of course, he apologised that he didn't let me know sooner as if he was planning to contact me ever again.

Overall, it seems like they don't care about people and don't mind wasting your time as long as the room is rented and the money's rolling. If renting with them looks anything like my experience with this agent, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO AVOID CITY ROOMS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. Don't waste your time.
