I came all the way from Jamaica. I decided to take a trip from Galway to Cork. What made my trip outstanding was my driver Nicola Donnellan - top notch! When I came off in Cork I said I hope I get her again on the way back. Now, when I saw the bus pulling up with Nicola driving (to go back) I started to scream her name with excitement! True story! The moral of the story here is my City Link experience has been phenomenal! I recommend City Link and I recommend that everyone travel from Galway to Cork and vice versa at least once with Nicola!

Best bus i have ever been on, we took it from Dublin Airport to Limerick City, it was extremely clean and hygienic, and also very comfortable to sleep on, very handy to charge your phone too. Our bus driver Richard was the best!! he was very helpful and friendly, the bus was quiet and very calm too 10/10 would recommend to everyone and will definitely take this bus again

Seats don't have enough space to be comfortable, it is crazy, the bus don't have enough space between seats, absolutely uncomfortable, and they don't care about costumers , THEY JUST WANT MONEY !!! AND THEY PUT PEOPLE LIKE ANIMALS , CITY LINK STINK!!!!!

I had a very mixed experience with Irish CityLink.

On the positive side, I must say they genuinely helped us once when a bus we had booked with another company simply did not arrive. In that situation, Irish CityLink was extremely convenient: the journey was fast, the app was easy to use, and the whole booking process felt smooth and intuitive. I was genuinely impressed and very grateful at the time.

Unfortunately, that positive impression has now been completely undermined by the company’s strict non-refundable policy.

We had booked airport travel as a family, and due to an unexpected change in plans, we are now losing a considerable amount of money. I fully understand that companies need policies, but what feels particularly disappointing is that this condition was not made clear enough within the app interface at the point of booking. For something as important as a non-refundable fare, especially when multiple tickets are involved, I would expect this information to be much more visible and transparent.

As a result, what began as a very positive impression has turned into a very disappointing one. The service itself may be convenient, but the lack of flexibility and the way the refund policy is presented make it very difficult for me to recommend.

Sadly, I will avoid using Irish CityLink in the future wherever possible.

Update to reply from Citylink: it was the Friday last 12.30 from Dublin city to Cork and return on Sunday at 2.30. No Wifi but, more importantly, the issue of no running water in toilet has been an issue for years.

Have been using this service for years and always reliable and on time. However, increased prices and an aging fleet make it less attractive. I'm typing this on the Dublin to Cork afternoon bus on 12 June. No Wifi and, far worse, no water in the shabby and smelly toilet. Lack of water facility has been an issue for many years and is a serious matter of public hygiene. Disgraceful with the prices now being charged but also something that's a basic essential.

Unnecessary comments about alcohol consumption on the 2am bus from Castlebar to Tuam on 07.06.26. At 2 in the morning, clearly I intend to get on the bus and make a racket instead of fall asleep peacefully for an hour. Gets right on my nerve when you judge the book by the cover. Lose the attitude man, I'm human too.

We booked our tickets for 11 o clock. A message and email confirmed our time for 11 . We arrived at the bus at 10:52 the bus driver refused to let us on despite the fact we'd each paid 22 euros. He was unapologetic, rude and Aragont. Very disappointing. We eventually got a bus 2 hours later the bus is quit unhygienic. Bus Eireann and Expressway are much better and have nicer staff then this crowd.

Want to wait in the cold for an hour a bus to barely show, if even? WELL LOOK NO FURTHER.

Citylink is the worst is not the most shattered bus service in all of Ireland. You honestly could probably get a turtle from your local pet shop that would be more accurate on time for arrival.

Every bus from Dublin to Galway is nearly one hour late. Let alone the FAKE arrival times you are given on the site.

You are better off with Bus Eireann. HONESTLY. Unless you like to piss away time, money and really enjoy the cold.

You might not have a toilet on board with Bus Eireann. But at least your bus will actually show up up and arrive on time.

LEGIT THE BIGGEST TIME WASTERS.

When you offer a service to the airport and you can not deliver the service that was booked and paid in advance, you don't send a message saying you are sorry for the inconvenience .People are relying on your transport to catch a flight .the best thing to do is to find a solution like a little detour of a non stop bus to collect the passangers. 230 euro I had to pay to get a taxi to the airport 17/05/2026 763 service 12:30 from kinnegad to DA .Horrible experience!!! In an era of technology and communication you failed terribly

On the 28th of December 2025 me and my family were returning from Lapland, there was five of us including a 2 year old and a 5 year old. It was my first time booking for a few of us together, I booked the Air coach for inbound. I had forgotten to book outbound from Dublin Airport to Cork was not to worried as the Air coach was always there as a walk on as well if there was room. Got there in early morning and no Air coach service and taxis was outrageous to Cork, my bank cards froze in the airport no idea why and had no cash on us.

Ok it was a bit unplanned on my part for the home bound my mistake I was very upset as we were stranded with the babies at all hours. When the first bus came in after hours of hanging around the airport exhausted it was City Link. When I explained our situation to the bus man he was foreign national native we did not get his name, he was so professional he made a phone call.

Within no time at all he let us on no charge , I gave him my details for payment when I got my cards unlocked when home. He said "I will let the office know and if they ask me for the details I will give and if not ye're okay". We honestly cannot thank him enough and the supervisor or manager who allowed us on, the review is late but better then never. I have an upcoming trip and guess who my bus is now with Citylink :-)

Unbelievably expensive. I guess since they bought Gobus they have no competition. 80 euros for an adult and child to Galway return. If any other option comes up I will take it in the future.

I've been using Citylink service for years to travel between Dublin and Galway and it's always been a great experience !

Their punctuality is unmatched, the drivers are always reliable, the journeys are safe every single time and the staff is amazing. Whether you need to stop by one of their offices, make a request to their Support team or ask a driver for advice, they ALWAYS do their best to accommodate.

Couldn't recommend them enough ♡

Rude driver
Came back after my flight and went to the busses to get back home. When I went on the bus I was ready to buy a ticket but I told the driver I didn't have one, he cursed at me and got angry, said I was supposed to book online. He let me off anyways and bought a ticket. This is unacceptable behaviour and very unprofessional especially at that mature age. The bus was not even full especially during the ride as well. Hopefully the staff sees this and needs to do better, show some respect.

I was supposed to get citylink bus one evening from Limerick to Cork airport where the bus should arrive 2 1/2 hr before departure of my flight , but that bus coming from Galway 1 hour after the supposed time wasn’t arrived yet so worrying about of lose the flight I asked a friend to bring me there which for the favour he charged me 60€ (by the way he picked me up 1h and 18 min after the supposed time and the bus wasn’t arrived yet..) so after I’ve arrived in time to the airport I emailed Citylink explaining the matter and asking at least for the refund of their ticket but I was told that I should consider the traffic of the evening and get the previous bus.. so basically for this company is the passenger that is supposed to consider the traffic delay in the pick time (was around 4pm) and not them when they write down the timetable!! Completely useless and unreliable.

Really dependable service, quieter and in some ways more convenient than the train especially for the airport. Website/app is fine could be better.

I was on the bus from Cork to Dublin airport during the protest on sunday 12th, 3.30am. Citylink did an amazing job keeping us updated and giving us also the opportunity to change the time of the bus, that was helpful considering the situation. I arrived on time at the airport, the bus driver was very kind and welcoming. The updates and their coordination to reach our destination was amazing, you did a great job and I felt confident to reach my destination. Thank you for saving my holiday.

Thank you so much Citylink for getting us home from the airport late on Friday night during the fuel shortage and blockade crisis, we were very worried we wouldn’t get home. - the journey was so smooth and bus was lovely, clean and great WiFi. really thankful to your amazing staff 🙏🏻

I use the service galway to limrick limrick to galway weekly and find the drivers extremely help full when loading and unloading luggage for passengers always carefull on drive and very apoligitic last wk when was delays happened and also the office staff in galway very nice to deal with

I use the service between Limerick and Dublin Airport very frequently at all times of the day and night. It is always reliable and always on time. The Drivers are always helpful. It’s so easy to change the booking online if flights are delayed or plans change.
Excellent service.
