This is horrible Telco company

This is horrible Telco company. They continue to charge you even after you have canceled the port in for months and will continue to do so simply because they have your personal and credit card details. When a request for refund is made, they asks that you login into your account to cancel and that there is a cut off date monthly to do so. You be billed continuously for no service enjoyed is a complete scam. To require logging into their account just to cancel the service beyond canceling the port in is a trap while they continue to bill you for no service given except for the painful experience of going in circles to get them out of your life.

An "old", angry customer

Careful! Circles.life is great at one thing, and one thing only: getting a new customer. They don't care about old customers.

They tout flexibility via their no contract plans but today, a Circles.Life chat support staff kindly informed me that if I transferred my line out I would not be able to transfer it back for "9 to 12 months". I needed the flexibility because I was going overseas to Europe and they have very pricey/roaming charges, so I requested to see where this requirement was stated in their website. I was sent their Terms of Service and there was NO mention of "9 to 12 months". Eventually, the Support staff told me that in the terms of service they can reject applications "at their discretion". Hence this "threat" is designed to keep you in the contract instead of being flexible like has been widely advertised. However this is in no way published anywhere so we can't share it on social or mainstream media.

p.s. Finally, one annoying sneaky detail. I clearly requested that the transcript was sent to me so that I possess evidence of all their claims ("9 to 12 months" etc), but guess what, it was truncated to only 3 lines. I know this is deliberate as I've worked in Customer Support before. If you're Management from Circles.Life, to verify what I said, please refer to your chat history with staff member beginning with the letter E_ _ _ around ~2pm on 7 Nov 2021, related to "roaming" and check both your emailed transcripts and chat histories. There you go!

Horrible service and unable to clarify port in failure reason

Avoid Circles.Life at ALL costs. Their service is horrible. When I received my SIM card in the mail, I tried to activate it with the app. When in the app, I entered the various OTP codes and it refused to my number port both on the app and mobile website. It was only when I used my computer is when it worked. And then I proceed to get a message stating the transfer was unsuccessful.

After some digging I found out that prepaid numbers could not be ported over, even though my provider (amaysim) was an option on the website and when checking out, it auto selected prepaid.

They said that it was “incorrect account information” but when I checked my account information, they were matching.

You must avoid Circles.Life at all costs and don’t give into the advertisements.

Avoid at all costs

Ordered my $10 Sim and it turned up a day later which was impressive. Did the activation and port in procedure and now my old service isn't working and the port hasn't happened even with 3 business days to do it. I now have no service and I'm losing business. No support available. Waited hours in a web based chat only to never be answered. Only Coles mobile have matched this level of incompetence.

This company after so many requests for a response has still not responded.
Update 30/10/21 this company refuses to contact me is still taking money from my account after numerous emails and phone calls. Stay as far away from this company as possible.

Ensure you check your bills - They are committing Fraud!

Ensure you check your bills. I was billed for 'pay-as-you-go-services' when my SIM card wasn't in a device. They have advised me that a billing error occurred for several months and as they can't tell me what service was, I will be refunded. That was 5 months ago. They had charged me additionally for 5 months prior to that. This company should be shutdown, fraudulently taking money and when requested back, delay for months.

VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
I was with them for around 6 months no issues, then at the end of July all of a sudden I got notifications when I woke up about excess data reaching the cap and my data being restricted. Bought boosts to even access the net to be able to complain. Ended up with over $300 in data charges I never used but the computer said I did. Not only could I prove I didn't use that much data (30 gig while sleeping in one day while it took me all month to use 100gig) but they breached the Australian consumer laws for failing to notify me correctly, due to a huge lag between when I got the first notification (at excess cap) and the second lot (100% data used). Not only wrong order but proof of a system failure, and they claimed and advertised a time period of up to 2 hrs (now 3) for notifications, and never gave the 3gig bill shock they claim is so you have time to make a choice about boosting data etc. They refused to even look at the proof and offered first $40 off, then claimed the second time they're sticking to the first offer of $40 and 3 months of 10gig data free. Not to mention that during this I still had to go into town to use public WiFi as they didn't let me use the boosts I had paid for even though they said they would. I didn't have data access at all the whole of August either when the data reset. In the end I got the fraudulent charges waived by going to the ombudsman. The company failed to contact me to work it out in the given time frame and took an additional week to let me know they waived the fees. My friend I got into the deal also had issues during the same time and got $50 of excess charges. Stay away from this company, if your after data go with almost anyone else now as most others reduce your data speed if you cap out and don't charge, so even if this does happen with them you won't have $300 in charges. Also during the whole ombudsman case they attempted 3 times to charge my bank for the money even though it by law was meant to be put on hold, and my account was set to manual payments. They knew they would lose the case and still tried to charge me before they lost the lot.

To start I want to say I have NEVER…

To start I want to say I have NEVER left a bad review in my life - anywhere. That said, my experience with Circles.Life has been SO APPALLING, that I had to warn others so they don't experience the pure fury and wasted hours of life that I have over the past few weeks.

1. Customer service team have not returned any of my emails or contacted me by phone - Do they even exist?!

2. Inserting their SIM card wiped out all my phone settings including even my Apple ID settings - I have NO IDEA how this happened.
3.Then they charged me to 'RE-activate' iMessages! Again, no customer service at all and I was left not being able to use iMessage and spending HOURS troubleshooting on my own and with Apple support.

4. I have now received a bill that says i am being charged for international texts even though I paid the extra add-on for international texts and calls.

5. Also the '$5 add on' for international calls was not pro-rated on my first bill so I was the full monthly cost for 8 days of service.

6.I get beyond terrible data speeds (avg 10mbps) - so bad I cannot use my mobile as a hotspot, video calls are broken/disrupted and time out completely, even browsing is noticeably lagging. Both Waze and ITunes apps don't work - constantly cutting in and out. Basically I have a plan with 100G of useless data.

7. I have repeatedly tried to send issue reports/logs from their app (which they boast is so useful) and get error messages saying i don't have an email account so cannot send the reports. what a joke!

I will be going straight to Consumer Protection at DMIRS on principle alone if they do not correct the overcharged amounts on my last bill.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR - STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

NO HELP- NO SERVICE- NO DATA- NO GOOD

I took out out a sim plan only on the 31/7/2021 and it hasn't worked since. (now 4/8/21) So many attempts to rectify the issue on live chat, what a waste of time, told me Optus was doing work in my home area, but, I work 20km away and still nothing. The last chat session I mention I might change providers and to my surprise the chat ended on the spot. Wow how rude can you get. Its also a huge task to get thru to someone on their so called friendly chat line, keeps going around in circles. There is no direct phone contact, so its the computer or nothing and that's exactly what you will acheive, nothing.
I suggest most of the non person contact phone providers will sell you the product with ease, but good luck if you need help. Not even one star, this mob can be classified as a monster. Don't go there!!

disappointing internet speed and customer service

Awful internet speed over the last month. The issue seems to remain unresolved for a long time ( another 6 months or longer) and interestingly no one even bother to think about the compensation. Seems that it is my problem not theirs. The company used to be much more considerat about their customers. Both the internet and customer service are getting worse and worse everyday.
I cannot believe that I'm experiencing this kind of customer service here in Australia. Is there any organisation looking after customer rights? Simply hearing that "We can't do anything. You can port out and use another service ".
Highly recommend everyone to first search the problems with this provider in their area in order not to get stuck in a very poor service without a proper customer service. You will hear lots of useless promises and you have to start the chat with them from the beginning everyday. A real pain while you need to be connected with your team members working from home. So it can easily affect your job as well.
Be aware !!!!!!!!!!!

CHARGING CALL ON MESSENGER

Circles.Life has charged me for international calls for the 2 first months I have been a customer even though calls were made via Messenger, free calls. Cannot find call history to prove my case and have put the onus back on me. They have given a $20.00 credit which to me are admitting liability of ripping me off. This company is coming across as very shady and will be taking this matter further. Shame on scamming your customers.

They stole my number. Dodgy company. Avoid

I was with moose mobile and decided to go ahead with circles.life. Ordered the sim, got it, then started the number transfer.

Guess what, they disconnected my connection with Moose, but didn't finish the activation. After 4 god damn days, it still isn't active. I am expecting very important medical related calls to this number and I can't take it because circles.life just stole my phone number from me.

If you are concerned even a bit about privacy and security, by all means stay away from this company. Don't get fooled by the attractive data offers.

AVOID at all costs!

My son lost his mobile phone early/mid April. I contacted Circles to get his number suspended and to send out a replacement sim card for him. Instead of suspending his number, they disconnected my mobile number (unbelievable but true). I was without a mobile phone for almost 24 hours, as they told me they couldn't just 'reconnect' it, but had to send out a completely new sim card to put in my phone. Mind blowing. I was very distressed and upset about this, as it was the only way my elderly parents would be able to contact me in case of an emergency. It was a very distressing time for me, all caused by this companies huge error. However since then (6 weeks later) I have still not received a sim card for my son. I have spoken to many people at Circles, including the supervisor Daniel (totally incompetent this guy) but none of them have addressed the issue. After many emails and live chats (they have no contact number to be able to call them!) they are now just ignoring my emails and closing down the live chats. I'm not sure what the big issue is, why they haven't sent me a new sim card for my son's phone in over six weeks, but this is totally unacceptable. Add to that, they have taken the monthly fee out of my account twice since then, even though I haven't had a sim card for his phone! Stay away from this company at all costs. Their staff are totally incompetent, especially Daniel the supervisor, and other staff have no idea what they are doing or talking about. They might have cheap plans, but it's not worth all the stress in the end! Referred to the TIO.

Worst customer service I have ever seen.
They have charged me extra money and saying it has been refunded but never credit back to my account.
There is no way to contact them or speak to their manager or escalate to anyone.

Travesty of a company

I was perfectly happy for the duration of my time with circle.life, the issues arose when I decided to port my number to a different carrier. After reconsidering my options I decided to stay with Circle.life. However on the 30/4/2021 my account was terminated. Once I got back home I went onto the website and requested a new sim with my exisiting number. I was sent emails advising that all of this would be fine and that I should expect to receive my sim on the 03/05/2021 as it was being sent express. Knowing this was a public holiday in queensland I did not expect to receive my sim. On Tuesday I realised that I had never been sent a tracking number by the company, I had however received an update from Australia Post advising me that they had received a tracking number but that circle had not advised them when it would be ready to be collect. I contacted circle.life and they advised me that they hadn't even begun to work on my sim, they advised that they would begin working on it soon. Early this morning 05/05/2021, I received conformation from Australia Post that my sim would be arriving that day.

At around 2pm my sim arrived and I attempted to activate it and port my number over. I had accidentally selected the wrong telco during the activation process and this caused some issues. However I was then informed by the customer service team that my number had been terminated. Meaning my number was no longer active and that I could no longer use the number. After speaking with one of the customer service mangers (Daniel) I was repeatedly told that their was nothing they could do that my number had been terminated and that it was no longer active and that this was all listed in their terms and conditions. I have read over all of their terms and conditions and their organisations policies and this is not written anywhere. I also spoke with Optus to see if I would be able to get my number if I stated a new plan with them (since circle uses the Optus network) however I was informed that because circle had terminated my number they weren't able to do anything, they would however been able to get it for me if I had contacted them within 48 hours, excluding Sundays. I was also told that they should not have terminated my number it should have been put into quarantine.

After realising this I spoke with the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, who informed me that it was illegal for circle.life to terminate my number, I have submitted a complaint with them and will never be using their service again.

I never faced any problems with…

I never faced any problems with Circles.Life services since the day I signed until last weekend 24 April 2021 around 2pm. I received an SMS from Circles.Life suddenly saying my account is now SUSPENDED without any reason given nor given any pre-alert via SMS, email, phone call or Circles.Life apps notification. Finally manage to connect via Facebook Messenger, I was told further clarification was needed with your billing and finance team with all my screenshots given and the earliest Circles.Life can get back to me was by the next day (a Sunday) which was confirmed by your customer service officer named Ginny. Same answer given from Circles.Life Ginny, which Circles.Life was unable to re-activate my account without cancellation of the chargeback case notification from my bank.
Furthermore, Circles.Life was able to charge my credit card from February till April, and yet my line was cut due to a chargeback issue on January.

Disappointment

I have signed up for the $100/month with 100GB a few months back and have been charged over $100/month every month I have been trying to contact them about this and the process has been a nightmare, it seemed as if I will never get my issues resolved (I think the staff needs better training). I am currently in the process of changing provider, finger cross that this will be smooth
