We first viewed Beck Lodge just before Christmas 2024, when we met with Vivien and Lisa they made us feel at home and were very attentive to all our needs. We moved in late January and had no issues with the moving process, as the team were very efficient and helpful. Since being here we’ve continued to be well looked after by the whole site team, Sue has been excellent and make our family welcome when they visit. So far so good

I visited Peel Lodge with my parents as they are looking at moving to retirement living. Jackie was so helpful and kind, both during our initial contact and our tour of the Lodge. She was thorough in explaining all the options available and took the time to understand their needs and concerns. The lodge is beautiful and well maintained and the staff we came in to contact with were helpful, professional and welcoming.

Friendly helpful managers. Feel safe and secure. Great activities, excellent gardens. Ample parking, good selection of properties to buy or rent. Warm apartments and communal areas.

I was really impressed with my meeting with Andrea, based at Headley Lodge in Ashtead, she was so thorough with the way the scheme worked, very friendlyandprofessional.

After living in my large rural property for over 40 years, the steps & overall maintenance started to become too much and a worry for my family. My sons and I came to view Riverain Lodge, and thought it was the perfect match for what I needed. I still very much enjoy walking, socialising, getting out and about but being close to everything without the chores, garden and steps was what I needed. The overall Churchill package which helped me move, I wouldn't of been able to do it without, Jane @ Senior Move Partnership was outstanding, nothing was ever too much trouble, she got rid of so much of my belongings & went the extra mile even being at the Lodge on my move day to unpack everything, finishing by setting my TV up working later than her normal hours. Britannia Removals which again is part of the Churchill Package included in the purchase price of my apartment, were faultless. I really wasn't looking forward to moving in a way but they put my mind at rest & made everything seem so simple. Aimee the Sales Executive offered a very personal & genuine service, keeping in close contact all the way though & now I live here at the lodge, we often enjoy a chat in the beautiful gardens. Now I am settled, Riverain Lodge is a lovely place to be & it has given me what I need, I don't have to drive to get to places & I'm enjoying the social life here, including Fish & Chip Friday which is very popular!

I visited Beck Lodge in Hampshire with my mother-in-law who is looking for a retirement home. We were introduced to Vivien in the welcome suite who was helpful, professional & caring. Vivien answered all of my mother-in-law’s questions whilst showing us 2 properties on the ground floor, which was requested by my mother-in-law, as she wants some open space/a patio as well as the gardens, outdoor patio, guest suite & other amenities. We were both so impressed with the building, especially the owner’s lounge & walk in wardrobes in both homes. We had been invited to a ‘fizz & canapés’ afternoon with a lovely singer by Vivien when I called to request the viewings. We were very impressed with Vivien’s knowledge & ability to make us feel welcome.

I will be completely honest. I visited Manns Lodge, Cranleigh, Surrey, with my 91 year old mother, a few months ago, out of curiosity. My mother is still fully independent, fortunately, and not suited to what's on offer at Manns Lodge. When the time comes she will be better suited to a live in carer at home. The staff were pleasant and the appartments nicely finished. I was disappointed to learn that there is only one alert button in the bathroom, of the one bedroom, and it is situated by the floor near the entrance to the shower. I may have missed a second one of course, but, don't think so. Apparently it is there due to the likely chances of slipping whilst getting out of the shower. I am a plasterer and found the painted breeze block walls on the staircases, industrial and certainly not high end. The prices for these appartments are extremely high and you would expect high end finishing throughout. At the time of the visit, there was no gated entrance, maybe this will come in time. My overall honest assessment is that whilst they may suit some perfectly, the location for example is excellent for a short walk to local shops, they are difficult to resell and on this fact, I cannot recommend

This is my 2nd visit this year staying in the guest apartment whilst visiting my Mother who is a resident of Tudor Lodge, Warwick Rd, Solihull. The lodge is very clean and The manager is exceptionally helpful to The residents & visitors alike. I feel fortunate that Tudor lodge offers this wonderful guest apartment.

Chris Kellow the Lodge manager at Truro, Cornwall has be so helpful in supporting us to bring research opportunities to the residents. Nothing is too much trouble, the venue is great and it has made it feasible for us to being this exciting opportunity to those that may not have accessed it out of the lodge. A great collaboration and partnership - Thanks!

Vivien made us all feel so welcome.It just became the obvious choice as the place re-home Mum at Beck Lodge when she down sized from her huge four bedroom house in Southampton.
The support has been on-goinging and I can't thank the team enough for what they've done.They've been incredible.

My wife and I have been considering a one bed apartment at Manor Park Ruddington Nottinghamshire. Our contact there was Sales Executive Sally Astbury who was super helpful throughout the whole buying process. Unfortunately due to unforeseen health issues we had abort our plans. Sally and Churchills could not have been more sympathetic and helpful. B&C Nottingham

The facilities at Tregolls Lodge in Truro are excellent. It is always clean, in good order, and well presented. The manger there (Chris) is really helpful and supportive.

We looked at the Paddock Wood Site and thought that it was a great location. Many local facilities within a 2 minute walk and many more not far beyond. No hills to climb and a thriving large village. Maggie was extremely helpful and Julie the manager was super too when she interrupted her event day to speak with us. Our meeting was conducted by Maggie however since it was a busy day for the manager. Maggie was really good, kind and professional. She knew her stuff and came up with answers and suggestions to all our concerns as we were looking for an apartment for our sister, a wheelchair user. I had no trouble recommending Churchills, Paddock Wood to my sister and I must leave it to her to decide where to go from here! Thank you Maggie.

Overall, my experience with Churchill was good, although getting over the line was very stressful and things happened at the 11th hour. Julie, the sales person was very pleasant and helpful but my experience with the recommended solicitor was not smooth. I have been in for just over a week, so it’s rather soon to rate the development but it seems friendly.

We moved into our flat in Highbury Lodge on 19th March. The buyers of our house at the last moment wanted us to drop the price by £45,000. Mandy the sales rep helped us to come to a compromise and has been most helpful welcoming us to the flat.

Everything from the day we exchanged has been abysmal. There are aspects of a 5 year old building that are still needing to be finished off. One department washes their hands these matters and says its another,,, its all Churchill !!! Access in for removals was appalling, and to cap it all off this week, their accounts department changed the electric supplier and never told us what was going on. So when I receive a bill, its one company who now tell me I’m not their customer, the next company tell me I’m not theirs and can’t talk to me…. And all the time Churchill Accounts dept don’t talk to me or assist in resolving the problem THEY CREATED

It is now almost a year since I moved to Headley Lodge in Ashtead and a good time in which to reflect on the experience.

Having spent many years living in my previous property there were many aspects of my life there that were becoming onerous:
• the constant concern of maintenance and updating an older property
• the need to maintain the garden
• having a number of elderly neighbours the realisation that the interior arrangement was not suitable for their needs as they aged
• awareness of the need for increased security

This prompted me to consider moving to a Churchill Living apartment where the above concerns were removed and were no longer my responsibility and therefore, I made an appointment to view an apartment at Headley Lodge…. purely a research visit I said…. however, I decided then and there, that it was a move I could and in fact should make. My intuition suggested that the time was right to make the move as I was open to relocating to a new area, open to the challenge of meeting new people and ready to undertake new experiences and that it should be now rather than later.

There followed a two-month period of decluttering and downsizing, which was daunting but ultimately cathartic, for memories remain in the heart and mind not in a pile of dusty, faded photographs featuring people who were now nameless.
Meanwhile the legal processes of moving and buying an apartment were eased by the solicitor recommended to me by the Churchill salesperson and the logistics of the removal were arranged by Britannia and a Senior Move Consultant (supplied by Churchill).

People have regularly asked me during the last twelve months whether I have “settled in” and the truth is I felt at home here from the very first day. The other residents have been friendly and welcoming which has made the transition easier. Although I regarded the move here as the start of a new phase in my life, I have also been able to resume all the activities that were an essential part of my previous life. So, within the first few weeks of living here I had joined a local gym for my yoga and Pilates sessions, joined a book group at an independent bookshop in Ashtead and have attended a local church. I have also enjoyed walking and discovering the neighbouring area and appreciating the fact that within ten minutes of here I can be walking in the woods. The transport links too enable me to visit London/Kingston/ Guildford and getting to Wimbledon last year was just so easy.
In addition, I am still in contact with friends and neighbours from previously…. which is so easy to do with email/ WhatsApp etc. and friends also have been keen to visit my apartment.
When I go away (fairly often) I really appreciate returning to my apartment, which is furnished in a minimalist style but reflects the way I wish to lead my life now.

It has therefore been a positive and liberating experience which I can recommend to anyone who is considering such a move.

We moved into Arlington Lodge 6 months ago and are extremely happy there. We settled very quickly thanks to the friendliness of residents and the support of the manager and fellow occupants, as we adapted to this major life change. Activities are available at whatever level you choose, but privacy is respected.
We feel very safe & secure, and life is less stressful now that we have fewer maintenance responsibilities.
