Re our recent trip
June 1st – June 15th: Holland America Nieuw Statendam Ref 2GDPVV
We had a lot of help from the ladies in Century Travel Pafos. In fact they could not have been nicer. We were given all the information that we needed. They are very professional.
Our problem was with the booking of the flights.
When we arrived in Larnach we noticed a direct flight straight to Copenhagen at 04.50 am.
Our first flight Agean 901 Departed Larnach at 5.00 arriving into Athens at 06.45. We were told that we would be in transit in Athens Airport. This was not true. The luggage was sent directly to the next plane. Our second flight was Agean 750 at 07.55 . We had to go through pasaport control, actually exit and re enter for departurs. Once again we had to go through security and passport control. The airport was in absolute caos. Thousands of travellers, no system what so ever. The distance was quite long from exiting the first plane and getting into departurs to find our gate for the second plane to Copenhagen. My husband had a hip replacement recently and we didn’t expect this very long walking journey. We were convinced we would not make the second flight. The stress was unbelievable . Fortunately our 2nd flight was delayed.
We had voiced our concerns to Century Travel staff in Pafos about the short connection time, twice before we left.

In Athens we were told all international travellers should arrive three hours before the departure of their flights.
Our pick up in Copenhagen was very smooth. The cruise ship was amazing. The staff were wonderful. The daily entertainment superb. The food was fantastic.
It was impossible to book a sight seeing trip when we got on board as they had nearly all been booked up beforehand by the Americans. Once docked when we got off the ship, there was not enough time to take a trip as we had to be back by 4.30.
Departure on 15th June
On the late evening of the 13th June, I went to the reception to get tags for our baggage. The young man there told me that it was very tight for our transfer coach. He gave me the yellow tags and hoped we would make the flight. At lunchtime on the 14th once again we went to the desk to make sure we would make our flight and were told we would have to get a taxie ourselves as we needed three hours in the airport for international flights. We explained we had not been told that. The lady at reception gave us a taxie email and said they could not get involved in booking us a taxie but would refund the transfer fare. We were completely shocked, as had we not for a second time checked about our transfer to the airport, we would not have known we had no transport. We sent a request to the given email address. We checked and discovered it was based in London. We were on a ship near Copenhagen. We asked for a local taxie number and once again were told the best one was what we got. We made a booking with this taxie company at midday. 5pm we went to the desk to say we had no confermation from the company. They said to wait as it takes time. Only at eleven pm did the service desk help us book to a local taxie. I need not tell you the enormous stress we had all day long feeling so helpless on the Nieuw Statendam.
We got our taxie next morning and made our flights. A direct flight would have been much better and less stressful.
It is such a shame our trip was destroyed by the stress of getting to the flights.

Excellent service from Century Travel as we usually book our trips direct but as we went on a cruise we found it easier to ask Century to find us the best cruise. My only criticism would be that they didn’t advise us to book the excursions/spa when we originally booked the cruise back in Dec 23 and by the time we collected the tickets pre departure in June 24 most trips/spa slots were unfortunately already full.

Informative and friendly and easy to book pur City break

Great help from Century Travel staff (Jo) to get us organised with flight tickets and lounge tickets. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. In execution everything worked as planned. All our apprehensions failed to materialise.

Athens airport Desaster 😩

We have recently returned from a cruise that we arranged through Century Travel. Everything went to plan, prior to departure the team at Century Travel answered any questions we had & provided detailed instructions to guide us through the online check in procedure.

Sophie made everything stress free - traveling with a group is never easy and she did everything she could to ensure we had everything sorted and straight! When something did go wrong, she was on the phone and really helped to ensure we had everything we needed and we all caught our plane!

Everything we requested was provided in a timely and efficient manner making our holiday so successful knowing that what our travel plans etc. were in good hands

All of the arrangements made by Century for our trip to Prague worked very effectively. There are some comments about Prague itself which I will email Century about later.

From beginning to end the whole experience was well orchestrated by Century Travel.
Booking was easy with the friendly helpful staff.
Flights were on time.
Taxi pick-up was on time both to and from the hotel.
Hotel was excellent.
Our Castle excursion was well handled and our driver, Pavel, couldn't have been.more helpful.
We were delighted with the services provided by Century Travel. Now looking forward to our next trip with Century Travel!

We have taken several short trips within the last 12 months including Budapest, Vienna, and Egypt. We were more than happy with the service arranged for each destination particularly in Egypt where the Meet & Greet Service and our Personal Tour Guide were exceptional.

I am gluten free and the senior staff in the main restaurant did an excellent job of ensuring I had gf meals and prepared food for me. The room was spacious and the staff who prepared it twice a day did an amazing job. The ship is called Opera and the floors are names after operas. It would have been nice if they played music from these operas in one of the common areas. My husband is sensitive to noise and tried to find a quiet area to read but there was one style of music playing everywhere and often competing with the music in another area. The quality of some of the entertainment was not as good as we expected. Some of the staff were less than helpful when trying to get information - even how many euros to the local currency. They are aware the cafeteria restaurant doesn't often work well if too many arrive at the same time. The tea and coffee is the worse I have experienced so bring your own tea bags. It would have been easy for them to make better tea from tea leaves in the main restaurant and serve it the same way as they do the coffee. However, the expresso and macchiatos (pay extra) in the bars was excellent. Gym equipment was excellent and we enjoyed the time using it and spa was nice if a little pricey. Some of the young staff were a little officious but the older staff were very good and helpful. We didn't use the organised trips and we would have liked to be informed before hand that you were not allowed to leave the beach area in Sir Bani Yas. We had planned to visit the archeology site there but only found out you were not allowed to leave the spit unless you go on an organised trip. We didn't see this information anywhere. Some people who had been on a number of MSC cruises said this was the worst organised one their had experienced.

Flights and transfers were 1st class Hotel location ideal but was very tired!!
Smoke alarm in room covered up and previous guest had smoked in room
Shower went in all directions except the correct one Hotel food good great pizza and front of house staff and restaurant staff polite and helpful

From our first enquiry Century Travel were very helpful, quick with responses to any questions and everything on our five week holiday that they arranged went very well and according to plan. Used them several times and never been disappointed
