Used CashStar on the Nordstrom Gift Card website. The entry page defaults to a gift card value of $300, which I changed to my intended $150. I proceeded through the ordering process, entering the message to my niece recipient, email addresses, and credit card info. I checked everything, including the price, and just before I clicked "confirm & submit," I decided to back up and change the message to my niece. I then clicked through to confirm and submit, not realizing that the website reverted the order to the default of $300. I learned of the $300 error when I received the email confirmation. I immediately contacted a Nordstrom Rep, who contacted a CashStar rep, and was told gift cards can never be canceled, changed, or refunded. Then I was told that the CashStar representative stated that if I ordered another $150 gift card for a total order of $450 and provided CashStar with the second confirmation number, they would cancel and refund the original erroneous $300. So, they obviously could cancel the original gift card, but they refused to do so. What if I called them back and they refused to cancel both? Then they would have $450 of my money instead of $150 or $300. What made me more disgruntled, distrustful, and convinced they lie was the fact that 2 weeks prior, my wife and I, not knowing the other was ordering a gift card for our nephew, had made the mistake of each ordering a gift card for the nephew. When I called Nordstrom and CashStar then about this mistaken duplicate order, despite there being two orders for the same recipient, they refused to cancel one, stating gift cards cannot be canceled, refunded, or changed. So, ordering two does not allow one to get the other refunded. CashStar is lying because they told me that if I ordered two, they would cancel one, but when we ordered two, they refused to cancel any!!!!!

Do NOT buy roblox gift cards through the roblox app.
Cashstar charges your card, while the gift cards get cancelled. I reached out by e-mail and they haven't replied since. Currently waiting for my revolut to charge me back automatically after 7 days, but I'm not getting my hopes up reading other reviews.

Today, I tried buying Roblox $10 gift cards for 3 times. First, I used PayPal (connected to a US bank account), order was confirmed but then got the email "Unable to Process Your Digital Gift Card Order". I tried again thinking it was a fluke, same error the 2nd time.
Then tried for the 3rd and final time, using a different payment method this time (Google Pay, connected to a different card), and even changed the delivery email address, but same "Unable to Process Your Digital Gift Card Order" error.
Well, I'm currently out $30, no refunds yet, hopefully I'll actually be refunded. But either way, purchasing a gift card should NOT be this frustrating. Seems like this issue has been happening for YEARS to many people all over the world and CashStar does not care enough to fix their horrible system. Would not recommend!

I bought a key from them, but my order was simply canceled without any explanation. I had to wait 2–3 days for the refund to be processed back to my card. After that, a few days later, I tried again — I thought maybe it was just a random error. But the same issue happened again. I wrote to customer support — nobody replied. I’ve been waiting for 2 days now, and still no response. Fine, I went to the live chat on their website. There, they told me to contact Roblox support. But when I forwarded them the email I had received just 10 minutes earlier from Roblox support, saying that I needed to contact them instead, they simply advised me to buy the key on Amazon. So basically, they don’t care at all where the customer buys the keys. They don’t want profit, they don’t want a loyal customer.
I asked why my order was canceled. They told me nothing. All I got was: “We don’t know. It’s the system. We can’t provide you with any information. It’s confidential.” Absolutely ridiculous. So it turns out I can’t even purchase the product I want with my own money, using my own card.
Long story short, the service is a complete zero. Honestly, customer support around the world has sunk below rock bottom already. They hire people who quite literally hate their job. They have no interest whatsoever in helping customers or actually doing their work. I’ve had these exact same issues with dozens of other companies. And it’s always the same story. Customer support is basically nonexistent. It just doesn’t exist.
Honestly, I don’t understand, guys. We live in a capitalist world, and the primary goal of any private company is supposed to be making profit and selling its products. You are selling keys. So why make them if you don’t want people to buy them? Why sell them at all? I genuinely can’t understand this. I am a customer who wants to officially purchase keys from you, but you won’t let me for reasons I don’t understand, and you don’t provide any explanations. Furthermore, I honestly can’t wrap my head around this. You’re refusing money, you don’t want customers, you want them to go buy from other platforms. What kind of policy is that?

Purchased an egift card from Sephora and Cashstar was egift card processor. I then tried to use the gift card and found it had balance of $0. I tried to call Cashstar customer service and they told me they could not help me and I'd have to contact Sephora. Sephora told me same thing. I went back and forth, speaking to supervisors and no one could give me history on when/where the balance was used. Just a fraud. Save yourself the time and trouble and stay away from this trash company.
UPDATE: I received an email from Trustpilot saying more information was needed from Cashstar to look into my complaint but when I logged into my account there was no way to contact the company. I still have not received any resolution nor have I been contacted by the company/customer support.

A hot mess. I purchase a Roblox gift card as a gift and they immediately charged my card. About a day later, I get an email that processing has failed and I would be refunded. Ten days later, not a single refund in sight. I called their support and they explained that they never even charged me and my bank must be the one keeping my money away from me.
Thank goodness it was only ten dollars! Let my cheap mistake be your warning.

I tried to buy a Roblox Virtual Gift Card for someone else through the official Roblox website, where I was redirected to another website (apparently responsible for it) called "roblox.cashstar.com." I entered the recipient's email address, my own email address (the sender's), and the amount I wanted to purchase (R$25.00). The next screen was to enter the card details.
After filling out everything and clicking "Finalize," the error "Payment Declined" appeared, as shown in the attached image. After this error, I went to the NuBank app to confirm whether or not the amount had been charged, and to my surprise, it had been charged. I immediately contacted them. After three full days, I had not received a response.

Dia 17/09 comprei um cartão presente do Roblox no valor de 25€ com o ApplePay para o aniversário do meu filho. Assim como outras reclamações aqui, primeiro deu pagamento recusado e logo de seguida autorizou e o dinheiro ficou cativo na minha conta bancaria. Hoje dia 18/09 o cartão presente ainda não apareceu no meu email, não recebi nenhum email de confirmação, nenhum código de processo, não responderam ao pedido de informação que mandei. Resumindo, a surpresa de aniversário foi estragada.
Já não quero o presente, quero o reembolso.
Não comprem nesta empresa!

Sito truffa è un’eufemismo. Dopo aver pagato mi è arrivata una mail dicendo che il pagamento non è andato a buon fine, soldi prelevati dal conto e del rimborso nemmeno l’ombra. Non è possibile che un’azienda come Sony si affidi a questi truffatori.
Purtroppo ho letto troppo tardi le recensioni, da evitare come la peste.

Horrible! On sept 11 I spent 70$ on a sephora e-gift card that immediately sent me an email saying my transaction didnt go through and that I had to wait 3 business days for my refund, well its been 3 business days and still nothing!! Ive tried contacting my bank and they said if I chose to dispute it it would take even longer for my refund so here is my last resort before i truly get my bank involved because I need my refund ASAP

2 mal, 10€ abgebucht ohne einen Code zu erhalten! Frechheit … Ich habe vorher eine 20€ Geschenkkarte erworben und auch erhaltene, allerdings gilt das nicht für 2 darauf folgende Bestellungen, welche je 10€ gekostet haben. Geld wurde abgebucht aber kein Code versendet… so wie es scheint hat die Firma schon öfter solche Bewertungen erhalten, ist aber nicht in der Lage diesen Service zu optimieren und Fehler zu beheben. Ich möchte mein Geld wieder haben !

If i could give zero stars, i would. I ordered my gift card August 9th and it’s now Sept 11th. I notified them about three weeks ago. I was supposed to receive 7-10 days..nothing! I emailed them..nothing! I called and requested a refund..i should receive 7-10 business days. Let’s see!! Ridiculous! Times are too serious to play with pple’s hard earned money!
