I'd scrapped a car through them before many years ago and was offered a decent price, with a no hassle pick up and money in my bank within 24 hours.
I couldn't remember their name when I came to scrap this car so had several offers at and above the price CarTakeBack offered.
BUT every other company then tried went back on their offer - one even claiming that because it had no MOT it was worth less - and remember we're talking about a scrap car here.
Unbelievable.
No such issues with CarTakeBack. They honoured their original price. Cash in the bank within 24 hours.
Why 4 star? Well given it had a new alternator, brand new trye and was a runner I thought I'd get more.
Nevertheless satisfied with the service.

Be careful they were great at giving me a price getting my car but as soon as I contacted DVLA to surrender the ownership they put in my bank £10 short no reason why yes I was silly to surrender before payment but there is small claims court let’s face it the car was sold as SCRAP this firm could find anything wrong as it’s SCRAP easy extra money just be careful with this firm after the response I would highly recommend you get the driver to fully check your car and video the check

Easy an straightforward

I wrote some details, then I received a quote for $325 cash. I submitted photos and received a quote for $550. Then, when they arrived to take the car, they said $200 only. What can I do?

Easy process from beginning to end - I was kept informed throughout. Collection was easy to book in & the driver called with an update of arrival time so I was able to plan my day. Payment hit my bank a/c the next day as promised. No issues at all - would definitely recommend!

The whole process was very efficient, and everybody at the company was very helpful. There was a bit of a mix up about a jump start of the car, but the tow truck driver pushed it, which was really above and beyond. The money was in the bank almost immediately, and the company did all the paperwork with DVLA.

Couldn't have been easier. Offered the best price from the 4 places I tried. Picked the car up within 2 days of booking and I had the destruction cert a few hours later via email. The driver was spot on and provided me with a cheque. It was an all round really good experience.
