Thank you for your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the condition of your rhubarb crowns.
Our rhubarb is supplied as bare-root crowns, rather than established potted plants. At this time of year, they are entering dormancy, so they can look quite different from what customers might expect, with little or no visible growth. Healthy crowns should establish and produce fresh shoots when growing conditions improve in spring.
However, we are concerned to hear that one of your crowns appeared mushy, as this is not the condition we would expect our plants to arrive in.
We would have welcomed the opportunity to investigate this and resolve the issue for you before the crown was discarded.
Please contact our customer service team with your order number and, if possible, photographs of the remaining crown so we can look into this further and offer an appropriate resolution.
Kind regards,
Carbeth Plants C

Carbeth plants are amazing 5 stars from me everytime
This company is top notch from start to finish, my ordered arrived with alight damage to the plant & they instantly sent out a replacement super fast with lots of apologies and insisting I didn’t have to send the original damaged one back, when i untied the plant after checking and asking their advise unfortunately they both unravelled as it turned out it was still to early but again they immediately sent another one and insisted I keep the two I already had and leave the new one tied longer but unfortunately through no fault of carbeth plants the new one had damage they wouldn’t of noticed but my son who is on the spectrum noticed it and was upset carbeth plants went above and beyond and offered to send another one or a replacement I had chose, this company has gone above and beyond at every turn and wanted to ensure my son was happy as they were aware he loves his plants.
I cannot recommend this company enough for their customer care more than anything but also their speed and their rapid problem solving and ensuring their customer is happy.
