my light was faulty - wires do fit into the product. They say they are working on a replacement but never ever DO. been weeks and no return / replacement. I had to file a chargeback with my credit card to solve this STAY AWAY.

Took me years to choose a vanity light. I checked every company out there. I finally took the plunge and purchased from Canadian Lighting Experts. I purchased a light on clearance and a sconce. The sconce ended up missing a part and another sconce was sent to me at no extra cost. All orders came quickly and undamaged. I signed for them when delivered. All good.
Some suggestions:
Read and navigate before buying.
Buy here if you are seeking something special and at a good price.
The "we will pay you $25 if not shipped in 3 days" may be misinterpreted. I need to double check this but I believe that the 3 days do not begin on the order date as implied but instead 3 days after the item has been shipped.
Strong suggestions to the company:
1. When people cancel, honour that when only a label has been created, cancel the order. We can clearly see in our account that only a label has been created and that the item has not been picked up by the courrier yet. This did happen to me and it was deceitful. I was told my order was shipped when it had clearly not. I am pretty sure that the status changed when on this call. I may be wrong. I understand that the aim is to deliver quickly but when someone cancels an order right away, within an hour or a few, on the same day, the item should be cancelled. I made the request three time or more ways using the form, chat, phone call, maybe email.
2. Clearly state that you are a US company in big letters on your banner on your homepage and all other pages. I did read your story but being on and off the site, it is easy to forget. You can always write "for Canadians (when showcasing the Canadian flag) by an American company ".
3. Clearly write USD for all items. Include the CAD price as well. I strongly recommend both. Also, the banner and homepage need to have USD on every page.
4. There are two or three ways to reach customer service and they solve different things. When I called, I receiced a very friendly and courtious person on the other end. Unfortunately, he could only refer me to another customer service to ensure cancellation.
5. After all the time I spent searching for a vanity light, and navigating your site, in the end when at the final checkout point, I was reminded that the funds were in USD. I had forgotten. The deals look much better when thinking the amounts are already in Canadian funds. I hesitated to buy but at that point I was committed and had already invested so much time but I was not happy about the purchase anymore and it was part of the reasons I wanted to cancel the sconce (the more expensive of the two lights) after I made the order. I had been really pleased up until that point.
6. I appreciate that all the duties, taxes, and fees are paid. I considered this when converting the price from USD to CAD. I ended up comparing the final prices with Canadian stores. The values were close but Canadian Lighting Experts was still cheaper. It is possible that with more time to search I may have found the products cheaper in Canada.
I still need to make sure that the lights work.
Overall, I am happy with my experience.
Unfortunately I cannot give less than 1 star! I ordered a beautiful, expensive drum chandelier for a home renovation. It was done in advance as my contractor was not sure when it would be installed. When he went to install it we discovered that the drop was too long for the location we had in mind. We immediately contacted Canada Lighting to return it and at the same time ordered the same light in a smaller size. Canada Lighting came back refusing to accept the return as the 30 day return window was closed. They did not however have any difficulty in filling an order for the new light. So now I am left with a fixture that was out of the box for less than one hour and only handled by a licensed electrician. Never ever order from this company as they are Not a reputable company in my eyes!

I unfortunately ordered from Canada lighting experts reading these reviews first so I've been had.
Like others, I of course thought that they were a Canadian website and that the listed prices were in CAD. I saw their "fraud" and canceled my order less than 24 hours after I bought the item. I promptly received an email saying they would cancel my order without any problem and not to worry if they could not cancel in time since I could just send the item back for a full refund. They of course, said they couldn't stop the shipping of my item in time.
Several emails later I'm still waiting for a return authorization number and just learned that I have to pay out of my own pocket for return shipping. This of course, makes it more expensive in the end than paying for the currency exchange rate from CAD to USD.
If you are CANADIAN, I urge you NOT TO BUY from this dishonest, even fraudulent company.
Customer serives said they received my cancelation 3 days later, which is not true. I canceled the next day. Also, although they say they are US based, the company thay billed my credit card was Belami Canada Inc. and the fixture was sent from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
It seems to me the whole thing is concocted to rip Canadians off.

This site is a total Con. Everything they sell on there site is billed in US Dollars. NO they are not a good price they are more expensive then Wayfair.

As has been mentioned, just be aware that Canadian Lighting Experts is not a Canadian company and does not charge in Canadian currency. They missed sending one fixture of my order in early September. I have not received the item, although I have been told twice it has shipped. I asked to cancel the order on October 25 but received a shipping notice. Today, after looking up the Fedex shipping number and seeing that only the label has been created, I live chatted instead of emailing and asked to cancel the order as I no longer need it. I was told to wait 2 days and then contact them for a refund (as the manufacturer may by that point have shipped it out by then?). They have a good selection and the other fixtures came relatively quickly, however due to the way they have handled the item they missed in the first place, I will not order from them again.

If I could give below one star I would. The customer service is horrible. I returned a light fixture using the exact method they requested. They will not provide me with a reimbursement and they claim that they can’t find the light although we have a tracking number ans deliver receipt. When you call customer service they hang up. I would not recommend this company

I did order Nuvo Lighting - 65/333 - 40W 3500K 1 LED Flat Panel Flush Mount (Pack of 2) and they didn't send a pack of 2... just 1 item...
They are the worst... they charge in USD,,, yeah it's mention in small print... but not mention in the principal pages.
They don't send you the actual product description... it's easy... Pack of 2 mean that I have 2 product when I order the item 65/333.
They do not respond telephone call... they let me listening music for hours...
AVOID THIS PLACE
They are not honest, they trick you and they accept return, but the cost is crazy... none sens!
It will be cheaper to scrap their products than returning them...
NEVER EVER AGAIN!

First of all, this is not a Canadian company, it's in the US. Prices are in US dollars but nowhere does it state that on the website. Their logo has a red Canadian maple leaf on it. Very deceitful in my opinion. Their prices are about the lowest you can find, however, if you have to return something, it's very expensive. I ordered 3 sconces but had to return them because the configuration of my remodelled bathroom changed. Canada Post charged $85 Canadian dollars for 3 sconces that weighed only a few pounds. Imagine if it was a heavy chandelier! I ended up purchasing lights from a local lighting company which cost a bit more than their website but I paid the extra just in case something had to be returned. Now I have to wait for a refund, who knows when that will show up on my account.
Update: The apology from Canada Lighting Experts solves nothing. Did they update their website to reflect US currency? No, they did not.

I requested to purchase an incandescent light fixture - the details of the product on the website was listed with such details. They sent me over 3 units that are LED integrated. I called the help desk and they informed me that this is a mistake on the vendor's part of putting the incorrect product details on the website. I was told verbally that I would receive a full refund and would not bare shipping costs.
Once the ticket was submitted, I was told that I would receive my refund when the product is shipped to me. However, they would not be reimbursing me the shipping cost of these three large items. This is completely unacceptable because Canada Lighting promoted a product with the incorrect details and now is expecting the buyer to bear the cost of their mistake. I am still in talks with the help desk but it is not looking good for me. I spent well over 300 dollars to buy all these lights. Completely baffled by the lack of customer experience. Do not buy from them.

It has been a nightmare dealing with CanadaLighting. Eventually I managed to construct the track lighting system I envisaged despite being sent incorrect parts and malfunctioning pieces. Receiving a refund for the parts that were sent in error took months and only happened because I kept on their case. Returns appear to be managed by a 3rd party outfit whose objective seems to be to frustrate the customer until they give up. Response times promised on their website are a complete joke. I currently have a ticket in to return a length of track that does not carry current, but I refuse to spend the weeks of frustration it will take to get a refund. Instead, I will post this review everywhere I can and at least have the satisfaction of venting my frustration.
UPDATE: It gets worse! I have now been advised the length of defective track I am attempting to return is classed as “an accessory” and does not qualify for a refund. So they will happily accept your money but if the product is defective you’re out of luck and out of pocket!
UPDATE 2: Regarding the company’s response to my review (see below), I have two comments. First, I placed an order for the defective track on July 15th and requested a refund on August 16th. Given that it takes 10 days to two weeks to “receive the product” in Canada from the US, my refund request falls well within their 30-day window. Secondly, I have been invited to phone the company to discuss shipment of a replacement part. However, I was not given an number to phone, nor can I find a phone number anywhere on their website.

2 of our Kichler outdoor lights recently stopped working. They were purchased from CanadaLighting Experts 3 yrs prior. Explained the situation to Gerard - he was very thorough verifying purchase, what the issue was, etc.. He made the replacement process extremely simple - received 2 new lights within 1 week. Will ALWAYS purchase our lighting thru CanadaLighting Experts!

I bought 2 pendant lights that were on sale. I completed my purchase and got a confirmation email and then within days my purchase was cancelled when I inquired as to why they said that the manufacturer can’t let them sell it to me at that price.
They refunded my credit card except kept $30 US and said it was because of the currency exchange the day they decided to cancel my order!
AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!
No no no! They are not Canadian. They use the Canada name and sell products made in Canada and then ambush you with a 40% surcharge by charging in US dollars.
Very dishonest, stay away.

Ordered parts May 23. Credit card is charged. A week later I get a “well this is a bummer…” letter from them. Another week goes by and they “are shipping them”
The parts have now been at their “trans ship” depot for a week.
Tracking number is not for my order.
It’s not the same size or weight, but they told me it doesn’t matter, don’t pay attention to that, lol
It’s always 24-48 hours for a response.
Do not buy from this company. Worst customer experience. Will be asking CC issuer to reverse charges for items not recieved by end of day today.
And again todays response is “24-48 hours to get a tracking number”. Pretty sure
You could find it if you tried a bit harder.
Called again today and found out that the
Order is in Norristown, Pa., where it takes 5-10 business days for Purolator to inspect for customers. Then it will go into Canada and then be shipped.
So no tracking number until then.
If you’re going to order from them, be prepared to wait.
EDIT. It has now been sitting for 2 weeks at the Trans-Ship facility.
EDIT They have now sent an email 6/21 saying it is lost. So resending a replacement set.
We will see how long this takes, lol.
EDIT 06/23Now saying new order is on backorder and won’t ship until June 28.
I have cancelled the order, and requested a full refund. I now have to pay my credit card for something I never received…
EDIT 07/5 The fan has arrived, but downrod is two days away.
TLDR, Ordered 05/23, received 07/05 6 weeks total time.
The replacement order only took two weeks to get here.
