Purchased a light fixture. Cancelled/discontinued but on the site it says it's just out of stock and will take 3-4 weeks. I can still add the "discontinued" product in my cart and order it but I wouldn't get my sale price. I emailed about the conflicting information, got a copy and paste response of the same email notice I received from the automated system. They still charged my card for that amount in USD despite the discontinued notice was given before the charge posted to my account. Now if they refund, I'll be given back less due to the USD vs CAD conversion. I have yet to receive a refund, and no response. Stay away from this vendor for their Canada site and US based site (1StopLighting).

I tried to cancel this order within 15mins of placing it when I saw that something was very fishy about it. The merchant charged me in USD dollars. The website is called CanadaLighting Experts and they claimed that they were Canada’s #1 shop for residential lighting. I am very careful with online purchases and this site looked legitimate. After the transaction went through, I realized that they had charged my in USD. I did some digging and realized that they were actually a US company. I immediately tried to cancel, but every link on their website to cancel was broken. I sent an e-mail and a few days later got a response from a completely different company name – Belamie Commerce. I have a huge e-mail exchange with a person called Jhonjon Vestido who over a few days said that the systems were limited and it was not easy to cancel and they were still waiting on a shipment cancellation confirmation. Then today, April 3, he tells “opps, the shipment went out” but don’t worry I did a return to sender and it is only a 25% restocking fee. I nearly lost my mind. This company should not be allowed to exist. It is a complete fraud.

folks this is a scam company. No where in the transaction does it indicate USD. They charge you in US dollars and you only find out when you get your credit card statement. They will tell you after the fact it’s in the fine print. I have screenshots of all transactions and receipts. No indication of USD. If they agree to a refund, shipping is on your dollar back to the states. THis is a US company with a website called Canada Lighting. Steer clear. You have no recourse as they are in the states. After a lot of correspondence, they offered me $50 or I could send it back on my expense. I contacted Canada post and it would have been $100 for me to send back to the US. There is thousands of similar 1 out of 5 reviews for this very reason across multiple review platforms including some people spending 20k only to find out it’s 28k after conversion.

NOT A CANADIAN COMPANY. Wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering. They claim to be transparent about being a U.S. company but the maple leaf pictures/logos and “Canada” plastered all over their web site is deceptive. They also claim they are transparent with their prices being in USD. I still cannot find anywhere in the ordering process that states USD and like others you only realize this when you check your credit card statement (which = +40% for my order). What really stings is I supported a US company which I am currently trying to avoid if at all possible. Only positive was they met their delivery timelines. So buyer beware I guess, and my bad for interpreting Canada Canada Canada and maple leaf maple leaf maple leaf to be related to a Canadian company. If you want to be a Canadian company, come on over, we welcome all (except that one guy).

Extremely disappointed with this purchase. The company gives the impression that it is Canadian, which is misleading as the products ship from the U.S.
I ordered two items but only one arrived. The second item has been stuck in Pennsylvania with no delivery update. When I requested a refund for the undelivered item, customer service refused and simply stated that they could not issue a refund because the item had already shipped.
Very frustrating experience and poor customer support. I would not recommend buying from this company.

I ordered from Canadalightingexperts and it was not clear that pricing was is US dollars. When I saw the charge on my credit card later that afternoon I immediately website to cancel the order. The company did not respond and instead I received “ your order has shipped notice”. While I have no complaints about the product you website is misleading and your customer service non-existent. I will not be ordering from you again.

Fast shipping, good pricing. One of the lights we received was defective and we didn't realize until several months after the original order because we pre-ordered the fixtures well ahead of installation. Canada Lighting Experts still provided us with a replacement promptly with no questions asked (and it worked perfectly). I would definitely order from them again.
