This company is a complete scam. They aren't Canadian at all and they give prices, including the final invoice, that you think are in Canadian dollars. They most definitely are not. Everything they charge is in US dollars. They are masquerading as a Canadian company. Very typical of the US these days. Don't order from them!! It's a scam!

This company didn’t ship my order for weeks after my order, only doing so when I tried to cancel the order. They have now shipped but I will still be getting my money back from them if it’s the last thing I do. Don’t trust them, their customer service is trash and they will never give you a straight answer.

As others have mentioned this company promotes themselves as a Canadian company and no where in the front facing website does it indicate that the prices are in USD. This shouldn't be allowed in Canada. Many other websites have a tab if dealing in Canada that adjusts to CAD. This company does this to gain a pricing advantage on false pretenses. Yes, they will say it's in the small print which everyone knows is intended to protect themselves at the expense of the consumer.

Misleading company that charges in USD even though the company website is Canada Lighting? (And the company is american)
Tried to cancel my order within 5 minute of the order confirmation and my realization that I had been had.
I am so impressed with Canada Lighting Experts. I have bought many lights from them, all coming in great condition as expected, and all for way less that I could get them at a store price wise. Recently, I had a warranty issue and the team could not have been more friendly, quick to respond and caring about my issue, and replaced the light making sure I was happy. This is a very reputable and trustworthy company. Thank you Canada Lighting Experts!!
This company is hard to deal with - they use sharp practices. They are totally US based - which they don’t try to hide - but the prices on their Canadian website are all in USD. They have a vague mention “we charge you in USD”, but nowhere do they make it clear that the prices for their items are all USD. I was not made aware until I received an emailed receipt/invoice. When I noticed the USD on my credit card, I contacted customer service and they said sorry, nothing we can do. They blamed me and sent a “sample” invoice mentioning USD. They stopped answering my emails after I said that the currency is only mentioned AFTER you have paid, never before. I received the items and am sending them back at my own cost. For $900 CAD worth of lights I am paying $300 CAD in return shipping. And the company doesn’t take any responsibility. I will never buy from them again. They treat customers badly and have bad practices. The company replied saying "You are correct that our prices are listed in USD, and we do note this on the site." Yet they do not state clearly that the PRICES are in USD, just that they CHARGE USD. Different meanings. Hope they fix this issue.

I recently made a purchase at Canada Lighting Experts and made a mistake in the shipping address.
I contacted customer service and Gerard, the agent who took my call, immediately set out to solve my problem. He was professional, patient and kind. He assured me that by the end of this phone call my problem would be solved. And he was right, he took care of everything and now my order is on track for delivery to the right address.
I highly recommend purchasing and dealing with Canada Lighting Experts.
Jay Pee was very quick to reaffirm my order was placed properly when I was not sure. This person followed up with me as well so very good service to Jay Pee.
I had an issue with a faulty ceiling fan, and I dealt with Gerard in Customer Service regarding a replacement fan under warranty. Gerard was quick to arrange for a new fan; the whole process was completed in less than 10 minutes. He was friendly and explained how the process would unfold. I received a shipping number from FedEx the next day and my new fan is expected to arrive in a few days.
Company are scam artists. No indication what so ever that they are a US company, worse, that they charge USD. This company BS’s the public into thinking they are a Canadian company, which is despicable. I cancelled an order one hour after pressing the order button at the end of a business day. They acknowledged the cancellation, then, the next day shipped the products, billed my card, and will not return any emails or even calls. Do NOT buy from these scum bags. Look closely at the reviews, most of the negative once says the sam thing, posing as a Canadian company, and no indication of charging USD…yet, they keep lying over and over in their responses to complaints. When you have to make the same excuse over and over, you are in the wrong!

We have ordered from Canada Lighting Experts several times. Each time the orders have come quickly with no issues. This time, one of the glass shades was cracked. We notified the customer care team, sent a photo, and they immediately ordered a replacement for us with no hassle. Very happy with their service and would use them again.
Fast and efficient fixed problem first call
Had some problems with water incursion under the spotlight lenses, but Canada Lighting Experts were quick to send replacements and ultimately provided a partial refund as compensation. Very professional and customer-centric.
This company is in the USA!!! They go by another name of Bellami or one stop lighting!!! Do not purchase from this company or these people! They constantly lie! No phone number to reach them!!! I Ordered a ceiling fan 2 weeks ago from them it said delivery in 3-5 days! No fan yet no refund no tracking information! You cannot phone them @ all phone number is an automated service!
No one answers you for days! and all they say is you should get it soon! Order number 11978043 paid in full I have chatted with your online people all they say is you should get it soon! told 2-3 days in customs now 5! Absolute Joke!
