My lovely Viburnum Kilamanjaro Sunrise arrived with several other plants I had ordered. All healthy plants and very well packed. Thank you Burncoose I will certainly be ordering from you again.

I've had two deliveries of plants during the pandemic. All arrived within a week, thoughtfully packaged with strong and healthy plants. Great website search feature to be able to narrow down a plant selection.

My order was delivered and a packing note to say that the remaining plants (most of the order) will follow. Then I received a partial refund with no communication as to the reason. Only on complaining did they say it's out of stock (still in stock on their website). The postage costs are extremely high, especially when only a few plants were delivered. Communication is completely absent. I won't buy from them again.

Have just received a parcel of 3 plants - Fatshedera lizei Variegata, Clianthus puniceus and Lomatia ferruginea at a cost of around £60 including P&P. They were sent by overnight courier.
I have to say the plants are much bigger than expected, in bigger pots than expected, are extremely well grown and healthy and the packing was superb - not a drop of soil in the box (all pots in plastic bags to protect them) and not a leaf out of place.
When you read the reviews of other companies which supply mail order plants such as Thompson and Morgan and Sarah Raven, who seem to be getting very little right, it is great to use a company which sends out the plants swiftly, in great condition and very well packed.
Intend to use again when the other plants I need are back in stock in the autumn and I would recommend Burncoose from my experience.
Also their range of plants, including scarce plants hard to get hold of elsewhere, is second to none.

They sent out plant Fragrant fountain plant in December and due to the time of year it was bare. We waited till spring and are still waiting now for signs of live. We have sent emails , phone calls but have received no reply from this company. Once they have your money that's it. Please do not use this company they are the worst nursery for plant quality and customer service I have ever used, and we buy lots of plants. There are plenty of nurseries out there which offer excellent service and plants, Burncoose is definitely not one of them.Please do not waste your money with this nursery.

Poor plants sent out, not as described, did not flower, and refused a refund or replacement. The grower not at all helpful was arguementative and sarcastic, complete lack of any customer service.
Stay clear of this grower and buy from a grower who provide's good quality plants and a customer service.

Ordered a tweedia plant and paid a premium of £13 for overnight delivery. Their courier 'APC overnight' fraudulently marked and signed for it as delivered but it was not. I chased this with Burncoose whom found out the courier hadn't delivered and it would be arriving on the next working day (so just left it at the depo over the hot 30+ degree Celsius weekend).
Whilst I appreciate the couiers fraudulent activities are not directly the fault of Burncoose, I'm disappointed they have made no effort to contact me back, or investigate, or offer postage refund. I've opened a PayPal case as I did not receive the paid for service and still have had no response from Burncoose at all. The contract for delivery is between the sender and courier, so Burncoise must chase this up.
So in all, the plant whilst was very battered from the APC overnight courier will be OK, Burncooses' customer services is not very good at all.
I'd definitely advise only paying with PayPal as this may be only way to ultimately get a response sadly.

Ordered over £200 worth of shrubs and paid £25 for delivery!
Received less than half of the order and no explanation. Two of the plants were very poor something you would find in the chuck out section. After sending 2 emails I got a reply saying they were out of stock and I wouldn't receive any more plants.
Such poor customer service We would never have continued with the order knowing we would pay £25 for postage which ended up a quarter and of the bill..
Never again feel we have been ripped off

Over the past few years I have bought quite a few plants by mail order from this company. In March last year I bought an Akebia which is growing vigorously but has not yet flowered. I telephoned the nursery this morning and spoke to a lovely lady who gave me some very helpful advice. Thank you so much to everyone at Burncoose, your products and service are outstanding and in particular thank you very much for a fantastic customer service. Well done.

Most plants were very healthy and arrived in good time. One was dodgy; on contacting them by email they replied promptly and refunded half the price for that plant. Good communication, fair service - thanks!

I ordered five trees from Burncoose Nurseries on 5 June 2020.
I experienced a little difficulty placing the order, because Burncoose are very sensibly restricting online orders to numbers that they can cope with.

I received an email from them with an excellent itemised invoice.
Burncoose use a courier called APC and the trees were promptly delivered on 11 June.
I was kept updated at every step by email and text.

The trees were superb specimens and I was delighted with the size and quality.
All the trees were very well packaged in boxes and had plastic covering over the pots to prevent soil escaping.
The Arbutus unedo was around 6 feet tall.
The other trees were smaller, because the large plants were out of stock, so I ordered whips. However, they were still between 4 and 5 feet tall.
They have been ordered for screening purposes and so should grow to required size in no time at all.
I would like to say a big 'THANK YOU' to all staff at Burncoose for an amazing job.

Love that they're limiting orders each day during pandemic to keep on top of demand and limit wait times. My plants arrived in perfect condition, great sizes, well packed and quickly delivered. Wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

Ordered three santolina plants. Took several days longer than they should to arrive (I paid £13.95 for overnight delivery) and we’re bent over in the box.

All three plants were unacceptably woody and leggy, with very weak sparse top growth and one third die-off toward the base. They were the sort of plants I’d expect to “rescue” from the bargain corner of a DIY store; certainly not fit to plant out in my Mediterranean border. I grow lots of santolina so I know how they should look if grown with care.

Really poor unhelpful customer service, almost conceited in their own opinion of themselves. They can’t grow santolina properly and I feel rather short changed in purchasing premium priced plants which were anything but premium quality. There are fantastic plantsman nurseries out there: Burncoose sadly failed to live up to their claims in my opinion.

Ordered six plants during the pandemic so a time when everyone is struggling. Despite the website being busy I persevered and managed to place the order online.
The following day I received an email to confirm my order and delivery, the arrived they following day! They were excellently packaged.I am so very pleased with the plants; they all look superbly healthy and a great size for the money. One has started flowering already. Delivery wasn’t cheap but overall a fantastic online shopping experience. I would most definitely return to them and am already drafting another order.

I ordered a specialist tree last Autumn, and this did not pull through in Spring. I contacted Burncoose, expecting they would blame me or my conditions, saying it had been a wet winter etc. They replied very promptly (despite lockdow) and they apologised immediately (not common) and did not quibble in the slightest. They offered a replacement (but hadn't got any stock of my original tree). They then offered a refund or substitute. We even messed them about by delaying our response, and they dispatched the substitute. Again when they contacted them and they immediately switched to a refund. Excellent support, quick responses, knowledgeable staff. I would recommend them and choose them every time over other nurseries.

Plants were fine, in good condition and the size of them was accurate to the website. My only criticism (apart from the fact that delivery seems more expensive than many other companies offering the same service) is that I only found out 1 plant was not in stock, once I opened the package! I did ask to be given the chance to pick a replacement. Ultimately, shoddy customer service let's them down. I appreciate they are short staffed due to the virus, but I have ordered over 40 shrubs/plants in the last few weeks from many other suppliers and Burncoose were - by far - the worst.

Order received as per description in good condition.

I attempted to order 2 plants online - one was priced at £14.50 and the other was shown as reduced to £11.60 but when I got to the checkout both were priced at 14.50 so I didn't proceed and sent them an email on 12th in the evening. As I hadn't had a reply by 12 noon on 13th I phoned. I was told they were short staffed and hadn't timne to answer emails. I queried the price difference and was told the lower price was wrong and this information was on the checkout page (it wasn't). I asked if they were prepared to honour the advertised price and the person I was speaking to said it wasn't up to her. I asked if I could speak to the person who could make that decision and was told she was out in the nursery. I left it that this other person could phone me back if the advertised price could be honoured - needless to say I heard nothing further. The whole attitude of the person I spoke to was that she really couldn't care less - I was even asked if I still wanted to go ahead at the higher price!

Received my corkscrew hazel today and it is absolutely beautiful! Strong, tall,. sturdy and in immaculate condition - as if I'd just picked it out at an upmarket garden centre. Wonderful! Thank you!

Burncoose Nurseries boasts of it's success at The Chelsea Flower Show so I ordered with confidence. However, the Buddleja Davidii White Profusion plant I received had insect nibbled, lime green leaves (due to the lack of nutrients) and certainly not worth the £26.00 I paid for it with shipping. When I contacted Burncoose Nurseries I was astonished at the lack of customer care. Emails I received in response to the requested pictures I sent of the pathetic plant were abrupt and bordering on rude. It was several days later, and after more email exchanges, that I was offered a return. Unfortunately by this time I had disposed of the transit box. I do not recommend Burncoose Nurseries, and strongly suggest you look elsewhere for any plants you require.
