It was a pleasure to buy a car from BTS. No sales pitch or pressure. Make sure you call before you go because the showroom is like a new car showroom but not all the cars are stored there.

Best Dealer in Derby!!
I recently bought a Cupra Formentor from this dealership, and I can honestly say the whole experience was flawless from start to finish. For a 3-year-old car, it was in *immaculate condition* clearly well looked after and prepped to a very high standard.
The *salesman was exceptional* friendly, professional, and most importantly, not pushy at all. He took his time to show us around the vehicle, explained all the features in detail while demonstrating them, and then left my wife and me to look over the car at our own pace. It made us feel completely comfortable and in control of the process.
We loved the car and decided to go ahead. The finance process was surprisingly quick and smooth approved within 20 minutes! To top it off, we were able to drive away the same day, which was a brilliant bonus.
Around six weeks later, we had a small issue with a sensor. I contacted the aftersales team, and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They got us booked into a local garage within 24 hours and even offered us a courtesy car to keep things hassle-free. The issue was resolved quickly, and we were back on the road with zero stress.
This experience has completely restored my trust in used car dealerships. From the point of sale to the aftercare, they’ve been absolutely brilliant. They have a great selection of cars and a team that truly knows what they’re doing.
I wouldn’t hesitate to return for my next car even if they have to source it for me. Highly recommended! Thank you again to the whole team.

Dealt with Rob the sales…
Dealt with the sales manager, nice as pie when selling me the £15,000 vehicle but problems with car from the start. I now know why they push the warranty wise cover for an extra £400, it's because I feel they knowing sell faulty vehicles. The car has an automatic transmission fault, phoned up twice to discuss this with Rob, was just told to claim on the warranty cover. I wasn't sure about that as I might have made a fraudulent claim as the car had the fault at point of sale. I sent a recorded letter rejecting the car after receiving legal advice, still no response off BTS cars. After 4 weeks got it into the main Kia dealers for a diagnostic check, the car needs a complete new automatic transmission. I'm out of pocket at the moment by about £450 for additional costs of taxis to get to and from work, avoid this dealership at all costs. In the very unlikely event that BTS cars want to contact me about this matter please do so by letter.

We are sorry to hear that you feel this way about your recent purchase.
At the time of sale, you were given an extended test drive and confirmed you were happy with the vehicle before taking delivery. If the car had shown a fault during that time, we believe you would not have proceeded with the purchase.
When you raised concerns, we advised you to have the car diagnosed by a garage and to provide us with a written report of any faults so we could address the issue. To date, we have not received any diagnostic report from you or from any garage just your account of the problem.
To add further to this you were offered the chance to purchase a 12 month warranty to which you happily agreed at time of purchase. To imply that we knowingly sell faulty vehicles is simply not true. Every car goes through a vigorous pre-check by our onsite technicians along with a fresh service.
We have also not received any recorded letter from you, and no member of our staff has signed for such correspondence. We remain committed to assisting you, but requesting to deal with the matter solely by letter is only delaying the process and the potential repair of your vehicle.
We would like to resolve this quickly for you. Please provide us with the garage’s written report as soon as possible so we can take the necessary next steps.

Bought a car from BTS cars of derby and the car was everything I wanted. However a few weeks later it started vibrating from the front end. Contacted them about the problem and yes they sorted it...six months later and only 3k miles later it started again. So I contacted them and they wasn't willing to help. Took the car to Tesla and it's going to cost 1k in repairs so I asked for help dealing with it. I even asked if they would contribute as I had done 3k miles. Then I had no response from them. I wouldn't deal with them again as customer service is shocking.

However, as this latest issue has occurred several months later and after additional mileage, it falls outside of the original responsibility period.

Not the Best Experience!
Just sold my car to these guys through the motorway auction process. As part of the usual knock the price down patter the guy gave me when he called, following the collection driver reviewing the car, he said the collection guy worked for motorway, his vehicle status report was independant and he didn't know him! I'm not sure he was being completely truthful about this! The guys picture is on their website (Emi-The Vehicle Transport Specialist). Emi told me a few things he thought would need work and showed me pictures on his phone of what the diagnostic kit he used showed up (pictures on his phone not the diagnostics kit itself, which I watched him use and not photograph). They used this and some other things that Emi said were wrong, plus one valid reason (windscreen crack in the corner I hadn't spotted) to knock down the price even lower that the motorway bid. Windscreen, fair enough! The rest just waffle really. Bottom line is that there were several inconsistencies in their story, so check all is good with what they say before proceeding with any deal.
9 months later and I finally get a reply to my experience. Pretty bland words of reassurance after some serious critisism about their methods and honesty. Hopefully the people I dealt with have moved on and BTS cars are taking their approach, ethics and reputation more seriously.

Any adjustments to the agreed price are based solely on the condition of the vehicle at the point of inspection, including any previously undisclosed items. In your case, the windscreen damage and other condition related findings were highlighted during this process, which is standard practice across the industry.
We’d also like to reassure you that all parties involved operate independently within their roles, and assessments are carried out professionally and in line with industry expectations. There is no intention to mislead at any stage.

Recently we purchased a Toyota CHR and…
Recently we purchased a Toyota CHR and really disappointed with the delivery. On the day of viewing appointment and the day we transferred the full amount they made sure will have a good clean,polishing and full wallet before the delivery. unfortunately the car has been delivered with full dirt inside the bonett and even in the boot. Along with this there is a quite big scratches on the bumper as well.So we contacted the office very next morning and they told that our sales person is on his day off and will contact us soon once he is back. But we haven’t received any calls yet.Previously we bought few other car even cheaper than this but all those were delivered so perfectly.
But after the delivery, within 10 days the car had a breakdown. so we contacted the BTS garage as we have 3 months warranty from garage and we have taken another 3 years of warranty from them , a platinum cover warranty which the sales manager encouraged us to take that one stating it covers everything for our car and there would be peace of mind if we have that warranty coverage.
On 10/06 early morning our car had break down with all warning lights on. so we contacted the BTS at 9am but their response was not good enough and it was like washing their hands and simply said to contact the warranty wise for the further actions. Then AA came as per warranty wise and then took it to Mansfield Toyota for the diagnostic test and result was the battery doesn’t have any further life and needs an urgent change and the Toyota said they don’t have deal with warranty wise.So it is not possible to claim from them.So we contacted again to the garage for the solution and they said us to take the car to a local garage and get the quote as main dealers has more costs.Or to take the car to bts for a battery change and for a full clean and maintenance and they said they are ready even in the weekend.So we called them on that Friday to said we will be coming there on Saturday for all the works but at that time the informed there is no mechanic on weekend and asked us to change the battery from the local garage and they will pay us .So we did the battery change on Saturday 14/06 and forwarded the bill to them soon after the change but until now we haven’t received that amount and now they are not replying to our email now .
At the time of purchase they said we can took car to any garage including the main dealers and the warranty wise will be able to cover everything. And then we struggled a whole week with all these mess and paid a lot to the taxis. Instead of getting peace of mind we were total frustrated with the services they provided.

We’d just like to clarify a few points about your experience with us. At BTS Cars, we specialise in used vehicles and pride ourselves on preparing all of our cars to the highest standards. When you and your family first came to view the vehicle, we made it clear that it had just arrived into stock a few days earlier and was still going through our thorough preparation process. This includes:
A full inspection by our in-house mechanics.
A hybrid battery health check.
A fresh MOT.
A full detailed valet.
When you returned for your second visit, you saw the vehicle having its alloy wheels refurbished which you were pleased with and you also pointed out a few light scratches on the bonnet. As we explained at the time, we would carry out a full machine polish (as we do with all our vehicles) to bring out a mirror shine. We also told you that while most light scratches would be removed, the slightly larger mark would be reduced as much as possible, though a faint remnant might remain which you accepted.
We then arranged delivery for you at short notice on a weekend, as you requested. Before delivery, we thoroughly checked the car and ensured it met our high standards. One thing we do not routinely do, unless specifically requested, is wash engine bays. Many customers prefer to see the engine bay in its natural condition so they can inspect it for leaks and general condition. Additionally, because key components such as the ECU are located under the bonnet, we avoid pressure washing to prevent electrical damage.
I personally contacted you to discuss your concerns and offered to book your car in again for a valet and bonnet clean. That offer still stands please feel free to call me, and we’ll arrange a convenient time for you.
We genuinely believe we went above and beyond to deliver a well-prepared used car at a competitive price, and we’re sorry that you feel disappointed. At BTS Cars, we take pride in going the extra mile for our customers, and we’d still like the opportunity to make this right for you.
