Formal Dispute Regarding the $14,000 Retained by Brainium
Hello Team Brainium,

Your response does nothing to address the fundamental issue: Brainium retained $14,000 USD for a website and project outcome that were completely unacceptable.

You keep referring to milestones, approvals, and allocated payments as though those terms automatically justify keeping my money. They do not. The website delivered was rubbish and fell far below what I reasonably expected from the money I paid. I dispute your attempt to portray the work as satisfactorily completed simply because you have divided the payments into development stages.

I also strongly dispute the hours attributed to this project. From my perspective, the hours claimed were made up and do not credibly reflect the work delivered. I am not prepared to accept vague references to development activities and milestone approvals as a substitute for transparent, verifiable evidence of the actual work performed, the time spent, and the value delivered.

Let me be absolutely clear: Brainium kept $14,000 USD, and I consider that completely unjustified given the quality of the website and the outcome of this engagement. I paid for a professional result, not excuses, questionable time claims, and an attempt to justify retaining a substantial amount of money by pointing to internal payment allocations.

Your offer to refund the unused support and maintenance allocation does not resolve the central dispute. Nor does your suggestion that my decision to discontinue the project somehow makes the financial outcome acceptable. The issue is not simply that the project did not reach completion. The issue is the quality of what was delivered, the credibility of the hours claimed, and whether the amount retained by Brainium is justified by the actual work and value provided.

I also reject any implication that my feedback should be separated from the financial reality of this experience. My review reflects my genuine experience, and I will not alter or withdraw it simply because Brainium offered a partial refund.

I am seeking a fair resolution and a refund that properly reflects the unacceptable outcome and the value actually delivered. I will not simply accept that Brainium is entitled to keep $14,000 USD because it says the work was completed.

If anyone is reading this, I would believe an Indian call centre over any member from brainium.

Terrible, Terrible Company. What should of taken 3 months to build my website took 9 months. They had trouble following directions, they moved very slow. They "say" you get a lifetime warranty on your website when things go wrong. That was a lie. i spent over 15k to get the website built by them, less than two years later the website crashes and i have get the website rebuilt by another company. SAVE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT TRUST THEM. WORST COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH.

I got Engaged with them for multiple deliverables for 3-4 customers from Dubai region and their quality of delivery, resource availability, technical depth is excellent.

I am seeking legal action against Brainium Information Technologies, too bad I can't post pictures here because I wanted to post legal notices, mediation applications etc. You can consult my google review for those. Even a few other review sites who allow posting pictures in reviews.

I approached Brainium Infotech in late January 2025 inquiring about their services. I informed Mr. Azhar Shake very clearly what my needs and requirements are. I repeated myself multiple times and he kept confirming the list of deliverables and requesting more specific information about certain features I was asking for. I ended up signing on the 18th of February 2025 after I was confident that he understood the requirements, the contract states the work should take 12 to 14 weeks. The company’s size and many positive reviews led me to believe it is a reputable company but my experience with them made me realise I couldn't have been more wrong and that a lot of the negative reviews I read were spot on.

I held weekly meetings with the project manager, Miss Nabaruna Sinha and the programmer, Miss Neha Joshi. In the beginning they proposed a strategy that I now know any professional working in tech would know won’t work. After a few months of working on that, they told me that the software only succeeds on a fraction of the tasks it’s supposed to and that they know how to fix it but it will require that we enter into a second phase that I eventually found out in September 2025 would cost me a little over 11000usd. I only signed off on the last milestone of “phase 1” (around November 2025) because they told me the small bugs I was pointing out would be fixed right away in the following phase and Mr. Azhar Shake offered me the new price of 6000usd.

Throughout this whole mess, the programmer, Ms. Neha Joshi told me she is already employing the help of her little brother but that I shouldn't worry because he's really good and if I want to speed things up I can pay more to have a bigger team working on it.

After sending the last payment, I contacted Mr. Pranay Pandey, their Vice-President, to discuss the following steps and I explained everything to him. On the 5th of December, he wrote to me saying he decided not to move forward with phase 2 stating feasibility issues and risks that nobody ever mentioned in the 10 months that they were working on a software they told me would take a maximum of 14 weeks.

I hired a lawyer in Kolkata and they ignored all his communications until the final notice, that is when they acted surprised. They stated they never received anything from him despite multiple successful delivery reports from courier services. Hopefully the mediation stage goes well but I won’t think twice before going to court and taking it all the way if these scammers refuse to cooperate. It’s been more than a year since I approached Brainium Information Technologies and not only am I not a single step closer towards my goal but I actually went backwards.

Had a great experience with Brainium every time we hire them.
Have hired them for several projects from full website development to design of flyers.
Next project is to build our CRM from scratch.

Brainium's approach was very good from the start to end. They have a dedicated team. There were some delay in the development & UAT phase. But the project was completed almost on time and they coordinated with us very well.
