Exceptional Service & Value!
12 months ago, during my annual eyetest at Boots, I was diagnosed with excessive pressure in my eyes. I was immediately referred to our local eye clinic and within a few weeks I had laser surgery in both eyes. Last week I attended Boots again for this year's eyetest and my pressures had returned to near normal. So well done to Boots for diagnosing this condition which as a diabetic could have been quite dangerous.
I haven't had new prescription glasses for a few years, relying on off the shelf readers for about £2! On being given my new prescription by Thaimah, she explained that there was an offer on for one pair plus a second pair at half price. So I selected a very nice pair of readers for £50 plus a second pair for distance at just £25! I think £75 for two pairs is exceptional value and I will be going back to order two spare pairs while the offer is on. Thank you to Saamiya and Thaimah for their excellent service.

Went for renewal for prescription today at boots in broughton first class service very professional as I always have but I would like to give a shout out to a young guy named ALEX what a most helpful guy who helped me with my choices for new eyeglasses explained why I should have the thinner lens set out a price I could afford! As I’m in my seventies from patient in fact I will go as far as saying one of the best experiences I’ve had at a opticians super friendly! I left feeling very satisfied I NEVER had that pushy salesman talk! Definitely a 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!!!

Going the extra mile.
One of the arms fell off my varifocal glasses. I went into Boots Opticians in Victoria Centre, Nottingham, where I was told they were not repairable. They weren’t very old and were expensive so this was a blow.
I decided to go to my usual Boots Opticians on Castle Boulevard and show them the glasses. A lovely lady called Lottie told me they have a box of parts of old glasses and she was able to find an exact arm to match my glasses, and she took the time to mend them for me. So kind. Full marks to Lottie!!

Exemplary Service at Boots
From arriving for my appointment to leaving the store my treatment at Boots Opticians was outstanding. The waiting time was kept to a minimum and the level of care I received was exemplary. Everyone I saw seemed to go above and beyond to make my visit carefree and successful. The Optometrist in particular was very thorough. His attention to detail and determination to give me the best advice etc went far beyond anything I was expecting, even to the point of requesting his colleagues take additional images of my eyes at no extra cost. I was eventually referred to the hospital with the knowledge I had been seen by a true expert in his field. It was also great to see that every staff member I saw was working with a smile 😃 on their face. I will be recommending this service to everyone I know and would happily do the same for those I don’t!

New pair of glasses fell apart
Collected my new pair of glasses, £472.50, on 22 June. Today 21 July they suddenly came apart, lens fell onto ground, screw hadn't been tightened properly. Fortunately I kept my old pair of prescription glasses which never let me down. Will have to try and buy glasses repair kit in nearby town.

Total Lack of Customer Service
Last Thursday I posted the following review regarding trying to contact Boots Opticians, Doncaster Northbridge.
One Star
The service is first class both for glasses and contact lenses. The one star is because I have phoned the store 4 times in the last two days. On each occasion I have been hanging on for over 7 minutes only to be told that no-one is available to take my call, call back later. Shocking!
I received a response early the following morning asking me to supply my name, date of birth and telephone number assuring me they would be in touch regarding my review and the issues therein. I sent the information at 08:50 last Friday morning. It is now 19:30 Monday evening. I've heard nothing.
I am trying to confirm an appointment date and time. I think it's tomorrow. I'll call again in the morning but I'm not holding out much hope.

I had a thorough eye test at Boots Sutton Surrey today which incuded a scan of the back of the eyes and was absolutely delighted with the treatment I received. The test and treatment were explained in detail as were any concerns I had. I would most certainly recommend Boots Opticians for eye tests.

I had lost a tiny screw from my sunglasses that held the lens in place.
I popped into Boots opticians in the Golden Square Warrington, Vinny replaced the screw in 2 minutes and free of charge even though I hadn’t purchased my glasses from them when two other options refused to help.
