One of the worst companies I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Goods ordered and paid for in June 2020, still not received Feb 2021. No refund given....yet. They have claimed to have sent my goods on three occasions and I was given tracking details on one so I tracked it. I live in England and I tracked it as it went around Australia, never once leaving the country. Then this bunch of crooks, sent me an email to tell me it have been delivered to me.....what? Really? Where? So, they claimed delivery on something that had never even left the Country. They then offered a credit......oh again really? Like I would buy anything else from this lot. So AVOID THIS COMPANY, they are simply dishonest, and frauds. I have written to them, be interested in their response.
Expensive clothes, couldn't tell you about the quality as nothing has arrived.
Anticlimactic
So, I've been a loyal BM customer for about 4 years now. I noticed a stark contrast in the quality of their clothing in the last year, however. The sizing is off, the materials are generally awful (think Halloween costume-type synthetics for dresses), and they are now outsourcing to China for much of their manufacturing while still charging the same premium price. To give an example, I ordered a pair of black leggings over a year ago that were designed and made in Aus. I wear these leggings religiously. They've been washed many, many times, including accidentally going through on the hot cycle and in the dryer with everything else multiple times. They still look relatively pristine and the stitching is still solid. To contrast, I ordered a second pair of BM black leggings a month ago that were manufactured in China (for the same price, mind you) and after the first wash (on delicate, hang to dry), there is pilling. 3 washes later and the pilling is obvious and the stitching in the back is already loosening slightly. Plus they just don't fit the same. I noticed the same trend in the dresses I ordered last year versus the ones I ordered within the last 6 months or so. They feel different, they look different, they don't last. Such a shame. Now, I would be willing to forgive BM if they were willing to match their prices with the new, lesser quality products they pump out in a fast-fashion manner nowadays. Alas, they don't: instead, they gloss over any sort of concern on their Facebook page with rainbows and smiley faces, and refuse to acknowledge authentically and respectfully their loyal customers who notice a profound decrease in quality. I want to love BM, but I don't anymore. Until their manufacturing changes, I cannot support them any longer.

Cheap material. Seams are wonky. No label on the clothing. They look like something I sewed in year 12 home economics class.
I have purchased staple like items from Shein in the past and honestly it seems like they’re made in the same factory, except BlackMilk charge premium prices for their clothing.
I expected a lot better... or at least a label on the clothing! That truly goes to show how cheap the items are and that they’re made in a run of the mill factory overseas.
Shame because the styles and designs are great. But I will never buy from them again.
After reading the other reviews on here I’m not even going to bother contacting customer service as it would be a waste of time.

High quality fabrics and correct sizing. Shipping was excellent too, I just wished it came in a better packaging but it’s all good cause it madeup for its quality. Really love my new workout clothes!!
“Express” shipping 😒
I purchased a slinky skirt as a gift for my cousin’s birthday knowing that she had some Blackmilk pieces that she bought years ago and still loves today.
First off, the “express” shipping is laughable. It took almost two weeks from the date I placed the order to when the package (nasty thin black plastic mailer with no padding that left a god-awful smell all over the garment) showed up in my letter box - lucky it was free, or I would be seeking a refund for the joke that is their fast shipping service. Secondly, for a skirt that cost over $100 AUD the quality is appalling. The fabric is printed badly. When you stretch the material you can start to see the gaps in printing and it looks sheer. The pattern has been cut lazily and the hemline is noticeably uneven, the seams on the unlined skirt are overlocked (which are itchy) and look very cheap, and there’s not even a tag on the item to show that it’s a Blackmilk item or what size it is!
How on earth am I going to explain this is a genuine Blackmilk garment to my cousin on her birthday card?? There’s no way she would ever believe it.
I will never purchase from Blackmilk again. Don’t waste your money. The cheap imitations are probably of equal quality.

I brought a few Active wear items from Black Milk end of 2020 and the sizing was absolutely awful. Everything was so tight I could have cut my blood circulation off!
Had to return the lot and will not buy active wear from them again. Perhaps you should have these made in Australia instead of China and you may not have this problem.
Watch out for Shipping scam
I love their leggins but they send stuff via unnessesary and unwanted express shipping that charges an exremely high amount of money on top of import taxes. So in the end you have to calculate paying twice as much for everything you order. Their customer service is ignoring the fact that I did not ask for express shipping and forced me to pay the fee. Never buying there again 🤮
Different color - bad quality
The product I ordered was a completely different color from the photos on the website. I'm not talking different tint, I'm talking greyish/desaturated blue vs bright blue. I wrote customer service about this, showing the photos on the site and a photo of what I received and they blamed it on my camera or screen.
Quality also got a lot worse, these leggings really used to last, but now it already has a hole next to the seam after wearing it only a few times.... I used to choose blackmilk because of its premium quality, but it seems there's no difference anymore between a blackmilk legging and one from wish/alibaba except the price
disappointing
I was extremely disappointed to learn after my purchase that the returns are to be payed by the costumer even after I already payed the sending price. For an online only clothing store this seems insane, and especially at those price. Costumer service was nice though, I thank them for taking time to answer me even if took days.

Refusal to give me a refund (they received the product back unworn) and I need make a fraud claim via my credit card company because customer service does not understand how to issue an refund
The sizing is all wrong and returns are very difficult. I have requested a refund several times, they acknowledge they received the item but want to give me a gift card or Paypal refund. I paid with a credit card but they are not capable of giving me a refund due to a lack of intellectual capacity of customer service. I have asked to speak to a manager and no response and now I am forced to claim fraudulent activity from my credit card due to their refusal to issue me a refund. Don't buy from them, its not worth it/\.
Disappointed
I’ve been quite disappointed with my last 2 purchases as I’ve noticed the quality of the clothing is significantly different than a couple of years ago. I have been buying black milk clothing for the past 7 years and the most recent purchases seemed faded and less bright, and I found when the material was only slightly stretched the colour and pattern was distorted. I miss the traditional nylon “swimming tog” feel, the outfits were comfy and lasted a long time
The material now seems cheap but the pricing is more... I really hope they change back soon
Very poor customer service
I am an international customer and got stuck with highly inflated import duties due to BlackMilk’s choice of courier calculating the duties incorrectly and adding on a massive service charge premium.
BlackMilk were very unhelpful and refused to even attempt contacting their courier to have this corrected. I was told by their customer service rep that if I didn’t pay the enormous bill then DHL would contact them to have the parcel returned then said “If we do decide to have your parcel sent back to us instead of destroyed we won’t refund you and either way you will be out of pocket so it’s up to you whatever you want to do”.
They have very poor customer service, it seems once they have a customer’s cash they really don’t care anymore, and it almost seemed she was being intentionally petty implying that they could have the parcel destroyed in order not to refund me.
I wish I’d had the sense to google them and read the reviews rather than being taken in by their glossy website and social media presence.
I don’t recommend this company and I won’t shop here again.
Steadily going down hill :(
Ive made two purchases from black milk this year. Prior to that I had not purchased anything for about 2 years. The quality is night and day difference and not for the better. I’m wondering where all the shiny wonder went. When I get my pieces now they already look prefaded and reek of dye/chemicals. I used to love black milk and would tell my friends, customers, strangers about their products. Now when I wear old pieces I feel like I have to tell people that they can’t get this quality anymore. I hope you guys change back. I went from spending easily 1000+ a year on your beautiful goodies to just buying a couple small things. I don’t even buy leggings from you guys anymore they sheer out now (newer pairs) so I guess I’ll just keep repairing pairs from 5-6 years ago :(
Not as good as it used to be
I have been a loyal sharkie for about 6 years. I love the designs and everything is so comfortable... but am becoming increasingly disappointed in the quality of their items lately. I have leggings and shirts from 5 years ago that are in better shape than things I've bought in the past year. There is a noticeable difference in quality between the items made in China and items made in Aus. The newer line of color matte leggings began pilling within the first hour I was wearing them, simply because I am short and the bottom touches against my shoes. A pair of my cuffed shorts from last summer is pilling where my seatbelt touches my waist. This is normal wear that cannot be avoided. I also noticed that a lot of the newer items say they can be washed "machine wash cold" - but do not fall for this. I followed these instructions, used delicate detergent on delicate setting, and the fabric changed instantly after one wash. A few things began pilling immediately and the rest lost it's shine. Never again will I do anything except hand-wash, even for the things that say they can be machine washed. I hope that with the significant amount of negative experiences loyal customers have been reporting that they revert back to the better quality items that they used to produce. I really do love my black milk. Nothing else is as comfortable or as much of a confidence booster. No other brand does such an amazing job with designing and licensing. They need to either lower their prices or get control of their Chinese production. I don't want to stop buying, but if quality keeps going down I definitely won't be as loyal a sharkie as I've always been.

I have just received my first ever items from BM clothing, I have never tried on a piece of their clothing so it was important to measure myself and use their size guide accordingly
I am generally speaking a size 8-10 with my bottom being larger than my top
According to the size guide, I ordered a jacket in size XS and cuffed pants in size S
The jacket has a boxy feel to it and the shoulders protrude further out, it feels slightly too big but I think the size below, 4-6 would be unrealistic to fit in to, it has a slight oversized look which is OK but obviously due to the price I would have preferred it to fit
The cuffed pants are far too big, I have quite a large bum for my size and I've never experienced wearing pants that are too big around that area and in this case the area sags
Due to the fact I am in the UK and already have the pay import taxes and pay postage to return, I am disappointed that despite using the size guide, both items are too big
Fortunately I am able to tailor the trousers myself but for the price, I would have expected it to fit

I had heard stellar things about this brand and was pretty excited to order no small amount of clothing from them a few months back.
After two months of waiting, finally my package came. You can imagine I was pretty disappointed to find that 3 of the many items I ordered weren’t inside. Not only that, but some weird, unbranded jacket I didn’t order was inside instead. I’ve been ordering all my clothing online for years, I’ve never experienced something like that before. At this point I’m guessing that there was a mixup somewhere in some warehouse; stuff happens, it’s cool.
What I wasn’t expecting was the glacial, painful process of contacting their customer service. Super unhelpful, and although they send a cute, little auto response that it takes “2-3 business days” I waited for 2 weeks for a SINGLE RESPONSE. I wanted answers on what happened to my package and to know when I would be getting the items i had actually ordered (or a refund on those items), but they have been deferring all blame on the postal service. The package didn’t arrive damaged, everything was sealed up, individually packaged and all in order. Their tracking info was pretty barebones in that it only notified me of it being in Australia, to suddenly in my country (usually addresses/town names/anything for check in points are logged, so I found this odd). It wasn’t until I shredded it open that I realized something was off.
The kicker is that they have a classic anti-consumer policy of not insuring international packages, meaning even IF it was the postal service that had tampered my package, I would have zero recourse in doing anything.
Save your money and order from anywhere else!

After a month of back and forth (more forth than back frustratingly) I was finally able to get my missing items shipped. Mysteriously soon after posting this review and sending an email of similar sentiment got me an immediate response.
Ultimately I was told it was a postage error, but that they would help me regardless. This is still disappointing in the sense that due to a lack of options to insure packages I would be left with no recourse. I would still strongly caution anyone who’s ordering internationally for this reason. Also, the second time they shipped my items it included a much better tracking system, and came within a week. I wish it had been so simple the first time around.
The clothing I received was of decent quality, but the hassle of actually getting it was exhausting. My initial review was of one star, but I’ll go to two since they did eventually help in my case. Hope that if you do order everything goes absolutely perfectly, because anything else will result in a lengthy process.
Perfect fit!!! accommodating seller
Black Milk Clothing is both attractive and highly adaptable. Needless to say we are extremely satisfied with the results. If you aren't sure, always go for the right size. I don't always clop, but when I do, it's because of this great site.
No notion of customer loyalty
I leave this review as someone who has been an ardent fan of BM for years. I have a sizeable collection and, in the past, whenever I had a CS issue it was resolved professionally and quickly. I’m sad to say this isn’t the case anymore.
BM recently sent me some overalls that had really wobbly stitching (it honestly looked like someone’s first time using a sewing machine). The design was meant to be symmetrical and instead it was misaligned, parts of the design cut off and the seams didn’t even line up in the centre but off at an angle. This was an item where it did not contain the “prints may look different” caveat on the sale page as many often do (as BM don’t even try to get item print to line up or look like the model items anymore for most items).
I contacted CS explaining the issue and that all I wanted was a replacement pair or repair and that I would even be happy to send the originals back. BM refused, stating this was within their QC thresholds. They genuinely consider poor wonky stitching and misaligned prints to be “up to scratch” for items costing over £70 (with shipping and taxes on top!)
They offered me a refund as a “goodwill gesture” or a small gift voucher that literally wouldn’t even have covered the cost of the item or what I paid in customs to receive the item in the first place.
BM’s prices are so expensive and while some of their items are unique and maybe worth it, if you have an issue (particularly if you are overseas and have incurred extra costs), their customer services are incredibly unhelpful. They have a tendency to blame customers were they can, or claim that dodgy design/stitching issue X is actually an acceptable product.
Maybe I will buy BM as a very rare thing in the future but honesty, for most people, the quality, price and awful, patronising customer service just isn’t worth it anymore. If you’re buying printed items, you’re taking a gamble as to whether it will look awful with how it lines up when it arrives.
Separately, their sizing is incredibly inconsistent and you basically have to ask other fans about going up/down 1-2 items in every style as they all fit completely differently. BM used to also boast being a made in Australia company but now half of what they sell is Made in China but for almost the same cost as the Made in Australia items!
Not sure what happened to this company but they really don’t care about loyal customers anymore.

The quality of the materials have gone down since I last bought a few years ago. The prints on the tights stretch and you can see the white material show though underneath. I was wearing them for the gym but not with my latest purchase because it’s not squat-prof. Shame because I was happy to support an Australian company but it seems profits have overtaken quality products and now turned BM into another cheap (but $$$) online store .
