Ruined Biscuit
Have used this app for years but certainly won’t be paying £3.99 a month to continue. It just doesn’t add up financially. Whilst I’ve enjoyed getting the vouchers it started taking so long to earn them as they kept hiking up the amount of biscuits required. I’d rather pay Tesco/Amazon etc full price in the first place. Whilst I fully understand they need to make it work financially alienating the people who have been loyal to you for years is a guaranteed fast track to failure.
Used to be better
App updated on 12th May 2025 to a freemium model, to earn the same points you used to get before that date you now have to pay a premium each month.
For example, M&S voucher would cost 1165 biscuit points. When you were getting 75 a week plus bonuses it wasn't that bad. Now you can get 15 a week as you're capped to a 3 day streak. 5 times as long.
Pet insurance discount / free membership only applies if you have your insurance via their partner Waggel.
Basically just a data miner harvesting data on your beloved pets and your walking habits now.
I used to love this app
I used to love this app, but the latest update has been a major letdown. The reduction of biscuits from 25 to just 5 is the last straw for me. As a loyal user of several years, I’ve already watched the biscuit count drop from 50 to 25, seen the removal of the 3-day bonus, and endured the addition of ads. Now, we’re expected to pay £3.99 a month just to keep the 25 biscuits we once had for free.
During a cost-of-living crisis, this feels like a tone-deaf move driven by greed. A better approach would have been to reward loyal users by keeping their biscuit count intact while incentivising subscriptions with additional benefits. Sadly, I’m deleting the app and requesting my data be removed.
Was really good, then they got greedy
Was really good, have used for two years. First the number of points from around 800 to 1200 went up you need for decent rewards. Now they have got greedy and are charging £3.99 a month for the same service you have had free for years. Now you only get 5 biscuits a day on the free plan, as oppose to the regular 25 a day. It would take months (242 days) now to get to 1210 biscuits just for £10 asda voucher. So app has been deleted
They changed the point system
They changed the point system, and now you only get 5 points for one walk — unless you pay for the Plus version to get the old system back. That’s just awful.. Very disappointing
Used to be a brilliant app
Used to be a brilliant app. Encouraged you to get out regularly with your dog. No way I’ll be paying £7.99 per month to walk my dogs, especially when they keep upping how many points you need to spend for vouchers! I also wouldn’t want or need to free tracker.
shame
Such a shame! I have been a loyal app user for a very long time, not anymore. It started going down the hill in the last 6months but current changes (subscription) killed it completely. I have seen number of biscuits shrinking and the amount needed to get a voucher increasing and now this!!! 5 biscuits for a walk??? Are you having a laugh???!!!! It is more like an insult.
Biscuit Greed
I have been using the app for quite a while now and actually became more committed to using it when they introduced quests.
Since the introduction of their new paid subscription service however I will be deleting my app.
They promote 5x rewards for paying a £3.99 monthly fee but look closer and they've reduced the rewards of the basic plan by 5 times. I could earn 25 'biscuits' a day when I walked my dog. Now the maximum is 5.
It's just corporate greed. And don't get me started on the introduction of adverts!
This used to be a great app but…
This used to be a great app but unfortunately the decision to change the points system has ruined it, I can't see this app lasting much longer.
Wow how to ruin a reasonable app
Well I used to use this daily for walking my two dogs, gave them my pet details and completing all the quests. I’ve had a few vouchers for Amazon which were nice but too so long to get. Now that I’m behind a pay wall effectively and having to use JUST WAGGLE insurance to get the premium version the app has been deleted and won’t be coming back any time soon.
Way to go biscuit, chase the money as that’s all your doing, can I now ask that all of my data is purged from your database.
WAS great now shocking
WAS. A great app, recommended it to other dog walkers however their latest update has removed all enthusiasm to actually use the app. Rewards have dwindled down over the months. No weekly bonus etc. 25 biscuits to 5. Unless you pay (in my case) £7.99 a month to earn a maximum 1800 biscuits a month. Example. Amazon £10 voucher has ranged from 1200 to 1450 biscuits. So basically your using the app for £2.99 Reward. Nah ill cash out and go elsewhere. The device you recieve for joining. What's the point? Doesn't do anymore than your phone. Wouldn't be suprised if there is a sharp fall in usage.
The inevitable RIP Buscuits…
The buscuit pet care app was an innovation to help and support the welfare of our pets. It was well received by pet parents and grew exponentially. It must have been haemorrhaging money. They had to at some point monetise the project. This could have been done is so many ways that would've allowed it to grow. However the way they have gone about it by introducing a subscription model just lacks creativity and foresight. I hope I'm wrong but I feel this is the beginning of the end as it as alienated the vast number of users.
Absolutely loved using Biscuits until...
Absolutely loved using Biscuits to track our dogs activities with the bonus of occasional rewards. Now after the introduction of Biscuits Plus @ 3.99 a month it's a total waste of time even using the basic package. You get a measly 5 Biscuits a day (compared to 25 a day previously) unless you pay for the subscription. Now it promotes 5x extra Biscuits a day with the Biscuits Plus plan when this was just what we used to get for free! What a shame as it was a great service but I highly doubt you'll get people paying £3.99 a month (as that would barely cover the reward value possible in a month). Unfortunately you'll most likely just lose all your loyal customers now as there's no point using the app.
Wake up Biscuit directors !
I hav been using the biscuit app for several years and it has been great.
Unfortunately now it's been ruined ,as my dog suffers from seizures I cannot afford the £120 a month insurance.
As for the subscription I suggest the biscuit directors start reading the reviews and more importantly LISTENING.
I can see this app disappearing soon as no one will be using it !
Less buscuits on everything
I just want to add how disgusting that not only have you downgraded the points for a walk. You've downgraded the points for badges. Vaccination has gone from 100 points to 20. It's cruel. Want to make everyone aware how pathetic this company has become,
Been using this app for quite a while…
Been using this app for quite a while and loved it. Sadly they have now reduced the biscuits you can earn from 25 to just 5 a day unless you pay to upgrade at £3.99 a month. Not worth having now.
Very Disappointing Update
I’m writing this review to share my disappointment with the recent changes to the app. I’ve genuinely loved using Biscuit—it gave me real motivation to walk more often and further with my two dogs, thanks to the rewards system. Earning biscuits and being able to treat myself to the occasional M&S voucher was such a lovely and encouraging feature.
Unfortunately, the new £8/month (2 dogs) subscription just isn’t something I can afford, especially with the current cost of living. It’s made what was once an enjoyable and accessible experience feel out of reach. I also know at least two others who have stopped using the app for the same reasons.
My dogs are now 8 and 9 years old, and switching insurers doesn’t make sense as I’d lose the benefits of my existing lifetime insurance. So the link between the app and insurance is now far less valuable for me personally.
I already use PitPat trackers so don’t need/want a free one either! I’m assuming many dog owners will feel the same.
On top of that, the increased adverts have made using the app more frustrating.
It’s such a shame to see a service I really loved become so much harder to enjoy. I hope you’ll consider feedback like mine in future decisions.
I was happy to share my data for the rewards but now it’s not worth it so I’ll be deleting the app :(
Update has ruined the app
Update has ruined the app! Now not worth it at all and daily biscuit limit has gone from 25 to 5!!
Not worth having
The update has made this app useless , if you pay £3.99 you will just earn back a little bit more than you are paying for membership, that's if you remember to track your walk and the walk will log , often it won't save the walk , you get a tracker for free , but fo you want one ? If you do pay 3.99 a month you will earn your money back but then need to spend it with the choice of vouchers on the site .They would have been better to keep the old app let you earn the biscuits but made the app so they collected better data they could sell ?
GREEDY! Waste of time and useless
What a shame that you now reduce the rewards and charge a monthly fee! Since update it’s no longer worth the app! For £3.99pm, it will take me nearly a year just to get £10 voucher. Not worth the price or even the storage on my phone! DELETED. Don’t waste time downloading this app.
