Bikesales is too expensive and doesn’t reach the target audience. I’ll never use the service again and I will not recommend it to others.

You do the best method of making the ad, managing, contacting interested buyers and the ad price is fair.

Messaging with prospective buyers/sellers is clunky but effective nonetheless. Great exposure when selling and fees are adequate for the service.

I would love a function that alerts you when a specific bike you're after is listed rather than constantly checking in hope one has been. It would be good to document your brand, model and series which saves to ones account and sends an email alert

There is so much information I sometimes wander through their website and nearly convince myself I must buy a 1600cc cruiser for filtering through the narrow downtown streets where I live. Or a 1200cc adventure bike even though it would take me 2 days to get to tracks where I really needed it.
The reviews are generally very informative except sometimes the manufacturers control the test conditions. Seriously, riding a motorcycle through the fast sweeping roads of Europe and equating that to our roads!
But the long term loan bikes get written up very well and you can see the difference in how the writers balance their opinions.
I think that they have very good feel for the current market and what new motorcycles are likely to make it to Australia (never enough).
Even more helpful is the degree of detail on the specifications of practically any motorcycle you’re interested in. This is where I can reliably, with the reviews, get everything I need to crunch the numbers and narrow it down to the 2 or 3 motorcycles that I need to test ride. This time I rode 2 (neither much good) and didn’t get to ride the 3rd as, although it was clearly the best on paper, there wasn’t a test bike available as mine was the first to arrive at the dealership (and probably the state).
So, with help from the sales manager, I bought a motorcycle unseen, based largely on the information on bikesales.com.au. I felt they were trustworthy enough to let me do that and that is a very big plus (I am very sceptical).
What would it take for me to give them 1 more star?
They are the biggest and best motorcycle market and information website in Australia so I think they should take a stand against the motorcycle manufacturers who try to “curate” the circumstances of new release motorcycle reviews which just impedes the journalist’s ability to provide real life experience to their readers. I know it’s how it has been for ever, but I hope they read this and start to set a standard. It’s starting to happen with automobile journalists lead by John Cadogan and now carsales.com.au so … what can I say? Be bold.
In the meanwhile I’ll keep reading for the enjoyment and dreaming. But, in a few years, when we have the right products, I’ll start researching my new affordable and safer electric motorcycle.

I used the low budget ad, and I was able to compare what prices were being obtained for this type of bike, age, kilometres; and the feedback on views and so forth was very encouraging and it was just a matter of it ticking along until the right buyer, a thousand kilometres away wanted the bike, so this is the second bike I've sold through Bikesales in the last two months, plus I bought one from here. It is a great service, thanks.

One stop to buy or sell things quickly. Trustworthy, simple and easy process. I have wasted money on some other domains before realizing this is the best in this space. I have uploaded my motorbike and within 4 hours got a message, and I end up selling to him within a week.
